    Stone Heart

Were it not for the knowing this saint was made of marble I might suspect him one of the stone-hearted living "saints" more concerned with dogma. Why is it I wonder that humans seem so compelled to bind the divine with rules of our own making and demanding that ours is the only true path.
  7. I think I need to find a new massage therapist. I've had three appts so far this month, scheduled every two weeks, each for a Tues. morning. The first one she texted and asked if would could move it back an hour because she was having an issue with her hand. I agreed, she was 30 minutes late. The next one she asked if we could reschedule to another day because that problem with her hand is a chronic issue and she'd "tweaked" it the previous weekend. We rescheduled for two days later on Thursday. She 20 minutes late. This morning she texted asking to reschedule because her husband is really sick and she feels she needs to stay with him. I have other appointments or obligations every other day this week but said I was available either Tues or Weds next week. That was over 30 minutes ago and I haven't had a response from her. She has been my therapist for almost 15 years. I like her but ...
  8. If you don't need it why are you making it
  9. Hoo boy, Coy!
  10. I think they have a shorter growth period. Here folks often plant seeds every 2 or 3 weeks until sometime in July in order to have a steady crop. I started picking about 6 weeks after I planted, of course the ground was warm since it was late June so they helped speed germination and early growth.
  11. The harvest lasted about a month but my beans are almost finished bearing. I'll pick a few more this week. I'm pleased with the crop. I was able to freeze enough for several meals in addition to those I ate fresh. I also shared with my dad, neighbors and aunt. I hope you have an equally abundant crop Clo.
  12. But, but, but ... that donut has pink frosting.
  13. Hi Page. Hopefully there will other kilt tales to come. Today however is a day for snoozing and recuperating.
  14. Uhm ... er ... I live in an almost tiny house, all 721 sqft of it. Not sure where I'd put them.
  15. It's a Faire day. Kiltings were a bit underwhelming for opening last weekend, yesterday was better. Had a dad and his adorable young teen son try on matching kilts just for fun. Took them out to the side garden for photos. Took two, the first with them face front and the boy with his foot up on the stone bench. The second was in the " I'm too sexy for my kilt" pose with their backs turned and then looking at me over their shoulder. They enjoyed ithe experience and each thanked me more than once for letting them try on kilts. So far the morning is slightly cooler and less humid than yesterday, 🤞 it stays that way.
  16. Nearly 9pm and 84/29° but with 69% humidity it feels like 90/32°. It's like being back in SC. Thankfully the ac is working.
  17. Hope Cookie continues to improve.
  18. Yeah, it's hot here today, currently 91/33° but feels like 97/36° and they're expecting it to warm a couple more degrees before it begins to cool. Tomorrow is forecast to be the same. I spent a couple hours late this morning trimming and mowing my yard. Have been lazing in the shade with Thistle this afternoon. He's sprawled in the grass snoozing. The ground is moist from the heavy rains we had earlier in the week so it's cooler than his usual spot at the foot of my chaise. I was gonna take him to the petshop to give him a bath but might wait and do it tomorrow. On hot days like this I just towel him enough that he isn't dripping then left him air dry. It cools him off.
  19. HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAGE!
