  1. Are you gonna pass him around him around the table on a platter?
  2. Val, my dear, dear sister, you've got a thing for guys ...
  3. Hmmm, I can't seem to remember anything outstanding that year other than it was my son's freshman year of HS. Was there a blizzard or other natural calamity?
  4. Mum and I were planning to attend Christmas Eve Service but we're both very tired and the weather has turned nasty. Instead, we'll stay home and enjoy a quiet evening. I'm making crabcakes, roasted sweet potatoes and asparagus for dinner. Later I'll find a Service of Scripture and Carols from one of the universities in the UK. I have a batch of Chex mix in the oven to provide snackies over the holiday. Tomorrow morning I'll make our traditional frittata for brekkie. Later in the day we'll go next door for a cold buffet. I envy you the tamales. The kilt shop has a friend who makes homemade tamales for us one weekend each season. They're wonderful.
  5. Hunk deserves the win. I think it's what most all of the contestants believe. Yet, Keith won too. He accomplished his purpose in joining the competition plus he found a family. A bit sad to see this story end as I adore this version of Keith and Shiro and the galaxy of characters that surround them, even Sanda serves a believable and despisable foil. Kudos.
  6. MERRY CHRISTMAS B!

    Chapter 6

I'm happy for them but feel a bit sad for Adrian but then he knew he would never completely hold Peter's heart. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
  8. I think it doesn't matter any longer what Sanda wants she isn't going to get it from the other judges ... she tossed them under the bus, they're done with her. I'd say more but ... well just one more thing. She bemoans that as a "Cordon Bleu chef" she deserves better from her career yet she's the one who signed the contract with the new network to judge a baking show. I'm not saying serving as a judge on a baking show is not a worthy pursuit but I think she is more interested in "celebrity" and self-importance than her professional career. I also think her training makes her hidebound, stuck on rules, on who can excel. I wonder if she is intimidated by Keith. He being an untrained upstart accomplishing what she can't even envision. Sooo, I said a few more things but her attitude rubs against the grain. Excellent chapter.
  9. Thanks Albert. Mine has hair on his chest and a big ... belt buckle.
  10. I make mince pie too but I'll do a single larger one. I should try making small ones sometime. Yours look very tasty. Do you make your own mince filling. Years ago mum and I made true mince meat using a mix of venison and beef. Saddly, I no longer have a source for fresh venison.
  11. Uhm, if the will stated the farm was left to Dan for the rescue why was the family trying to sell it? The Estate should have made him aware of his inheritance to do otherwise is malfeasance. Anyway, another feel good ending.
  12. Now don't carp bro.
  13. Is that salted cod or fresh caught?
  14. Appearances can be deceiving, Santa is ageless.
  15. 1989, in October my position was made redundant so after 12.5 years I became unemployeed. The following February I would find work in another field. That employment lasted 22+ years until I was forced to quit working on Disability.
  16. Howdy Texy.

    Anthony and Silas

Bingeing on these stories becomes nearly overwhelming. This one brought more tears. Now who has the box of Kleenex.

  19. Of course you would name an old clunker "Fungus". It's seems up until this point things were mushrooming out of control ... and then there was Gabe. I hope Lee finds the treatment he so desparately needs.

    Kater and Pearl

Taking Kater out of spite was bad enough but to then abandon the feline fellow was simply heartless. They're all better off without "the bastard".

    Edith

You've made me cry sis. As you know my mum is 85 and I thank all that is good and holy for her. Nicely done.

    Maria and Annie

My stepbrother and his lady raise lab puppies for a local group that trains them as service dogs so this touches near to me. Lovely.
  23. This Santa must be for Marty. He's clean shaven.
  24. Uhm, Texy. He's not really gonna aid your cause.
