  1. Good news on the vision front ... now bro don't do anything foolish i.e., trying to pick up barns like your blacksmith ... he must be really strong.
  2. Oh, and I shan't have any birthday kilting story for you this year. Twenty-seven? My where has the time gone? It seems only yesterday you were twenty-six.
  3. Uhm, what about the jar you promised me?

    Chapter 14

Doesn't matter how long your natural lifespan may be, you can die at any point. I believe because of his ego Fergus has badly underestimated Jimmy. Once Jimmy meets the Pack and compares Fergus's rule through fear style to his parent's leadership example there's going to be friction. Toss in Fergus's reaction to Jimmy having a human mate and Jimmy's wolf is going to come out to play with Fergus's guts. I'm wondering if the rogue is one of the betas. I suggest that because I think Fergus is going to be surprised when he learns who it is. Irwin perhaps. He's caught between a rock and a hardplace with Fergus and Shayna. Maybe he's tired of playing bottom to Fergus and watching him belittle his mate and is taking his frustrations out on those he deems weaker. Or does he think the only way to change his circumstances is to turn the Pack against Fergus by making him appear out of control by introducing rogues into the Pack's territory.
  6. That's likely the most fun your garden has had in a bit, with you it's mostly work, with them it was play ...
  7. Cool. I've watched numerous videos of various groups performing haka. It can be pretty amazing.
  8. I'm sure the poor fellow was thrilled with both the x-ray procedure and the subsequent flushing. Glad to hear he's structurally sound and hope the dietary steps resolve his issues.
  9. Stay safe. Will the strippers be visiting again?
  10. Thanks to you both. I had clicked on the following tab but it seems the box that opens runs off the right side of my screen so thanks to Marty's screenshot I was able to find the red unfollow. Task completed.
  11. Can anyone tell me how to unfollow a story? I have a couple that have gone in directions that I no longer enjoy. I couldn't seem to find an answer in the site help section. Thanks.
  12. It was very localized. A microburst have pleasant weather especially for Page & Co.
  13. I did indeed. Because of the migraine I was having trouble hearing myself think ... Also, I believe circumstances have given your 52/52 project a special quality it would have lacked otherwise. You were made to look more closely/critically at was near to hand. I applaud you.
  14. I believe so. It looks as if they forecast the storm to come more towards me than to her. Thank you for asking.
  15. It's particularly uncomfortable here today. Currently 86/30° with a dewpoint of 72 making it feel like 94/34°. I was hoping to do some work outside today. I had started but had to run a brief errand when we got back I decided it was just too hot. Since then my head has begun to ache so it just as well we're being lazy.
  16. Seems likely. Watch for signs on your jaunts with Cookie.
  17. She was a very good little mouser. Kept the barn mostly free of mice. Pleased my dad as they never had chance to bother the feedbox.
  18. Yeah, me too ...
  19. Mousetrap was a very pretty little tortoiseshell. Friendly and affectionate from the very first she appeared at the barn. Even my grandmother who was not fond of cats liked her and would put a small bit of food for her each day. She was with us long enough to raise three separate litters of kittens and was suddenly gone without a trace. My thought was an owl took her as she wasn't much bigger than a rabbit.
  20. Not so sure it's beauty sleep he needs so much as the energy to keep up.
  21. Oh, I know what cauliflower is. I've grown both it and cabbage I just thought I'd throw in another headed cruciferous veggie.
  22. Breathtaking, I'll wager it's impressive in monotone as well.
  23. I laugh/smile at your description of yourself, though I am sorry for the situation with the cats and kittens. It was rare that the kittens our barn cat had each spring were still around come autumn. They typically left for parts unknown. I attribute the fact your clowder remains close to home to your feeding them and attention. Except for mama Mousetrap, who was affectionate, ours tended to be feral.
  24. Who is Hugh?
  25. Actually champange is double fermented. The initial fermentation before aging and then again when a small amount of yeast is introduced at bottling. Hence the bubbles and the reason I can not drink champagne without developing a migraine.
