  1. Smart is a division of Daimler AG. They look like toy cars. Kitt used to say she could fit one in the bed of her pickup truck.
  2. He ran it through a hot water carwash ...
  3. I didn't know they classed a Smart Car as an SUV.
  4. I DO NOT drive a big ass truck. I own a compact suv. Also, it is a manily dark blue not white and pink and accessorized with a fairy wand.
  5. Gee, when I feel like a gooey caramel it's the result of another sort of hot.
  6. I'm ordering takeout but haven't decided what.
  7. I would have thought you'd prefer something, uhm ... bigger. That car seems kinda small.
  8. Congrats on the tests. See studing a head of time can yield good results. Now as to tha bp, is your doctor a good looking fellow?
  9. Wow, the pickles and chips were in the sandwich not served as accompaniments.
  10. I'm nearly a day behind but ... I had a sausage sandwich with Italian sausage from a local butcher on a ciabatta roll with homemade tomato onion jam served with sauteed sweet onion, pepper and yellow zucchini, not the big one Clo likes but one about 6.5 inches long and moderately thick, plus a side salad of romaine lettuce and heirloom cherry tomatoes.

    Chapter 12

    Dammit Fergus ...
  12. I was going to the shop to do some work in the flower gardens but I think that will need to wait until another day. It's just too hot and today's migraine has begun.
  13. Maybe you could get him to come lean on the porch rail while you sit in your rocker ... wait that makes you sound like an old geezer ... awww what the heck who are we kiddin' doesn't matter where you're sitting as long as he's there.
  14. Yeah, don't be flyin' no kites.
  15. Don't give up on them just yet. It's warm here too. The temp is currently 83/28° but feels like 89/32° and is supposed to get into the 90's again today. Did you Clo's 47°?
  16. Hmmm, since I can't/don't eat green peppers I'll opt to use a ripe one.
  17. My son and his pup stopped by for a brief visit. The pup is truly a pup but an English mastiff/cane corso cross so she's a big girl and only about half grown. Fortunately she has a very nice disposition. She wanted to play with Thistle who really didn't think that such a good idea. They did greet each other nicely before I took Thistle in the house. This is the first time we've all met since they got Sloan while I was away. She has the fawn with black markings typical of mastiffs. Given time to mature and become less excitable I think she'll become a very nice dog.
  18. Well if things are stinking perhaps the two of you should shower. It's not quite that hot here yet only 87/30° the humidity makes it seem 91/32°. The forecast is for it to reach the actual low 90's and feel close to 100. Additionally there is a warning for air quality in effect so overall not a day for me to do yardwork. The pup and are relaxing in the shade.
  19. I do so enjoy Albert's travelogues. All the pleasure without the hassle. Well, most of the pleasure, it's much more difficult to coax the lovely cabana boy back to my room.
  20. The pup and I have retreated indoors. My heads too much to stay outside.
  21. 🐖 this is best I could do to help.
  22. It's 87/31° here but the humidity makes it seem like 91/33°. Hotter weather is in the forecast. Had COVID not happened, today would have been opening day for the 2020 faire season. We were at the shop to clean and prep for opening in four weeks. Unfortunately I couldn't stay long. Migraine flared again. So home again and sitting under the tree with Thistle. The Faire is permitted to operate at 25% capacity. The site is rated with a capacity of 16,000. That means somewhere between 3,500 and 4,000 guests each day. The number varies depending on whether the cast, indepentent acts, faire staff and vendors count as part of the 25% occupancy. The professional cast is only 10 people and there are no amateur cast members so no interaction on the streets and limited staged shows featuring cast members. Guests must wear masks except when eating and drinking. Eating and drinking are only permitted in designated areas. No one not wearing a mask will be allowed to enter the shop period. People entering the shop will be encouraged to shop with their eyes not their hands. Anything people try on or touch will need to be taken to the backroom and sanitized. Guys can try on kilts but shop staff will put it on and remove it to limit patrons touching them. Only a limited number of kilts will be on the rack. Extra stock will remain in the backroom. Will not be putting clothing displays up outside the shop, again to discourage excess touching. The shop will not be selling knits hats/caps scarves, hoods, etc. Stock will consist of kilts, shirts, doublets, kilt socks and outerwear (cloaks and capes). There will be none of the dress up just for fun that was done in the past. That means most everything I did that made the job enjoyable. I'm glad I don't plan on working in the shop during the day. My boss envisions the Faire opening and closing again two weeks later. That's what happened at one popular nearby amusment park.
  23. You too bro.
  24. I this because you have cherished memories of a best friendship.
  25. Goode'en y'all. I've spent most of the day coping with a migraine so have been resting quietly. The day had started with promise. We went for our usual early morning walk. Then about 30 minutes after we got home the migraine started. I had such plans for working in the flower beds. C'est la vie. Be well.
