The ending for this was not what I expected! Nice bit of world building, an intriguing plot, then BAM, it explodes in your face. I love that this twist got to me. Very well done!
I won't even do that. It's one of the main reasons I'm chronically behind on paperwork, I don't like having a computer between me and my patients. I'm being left behind as technology races forward and I'm fine with it.

I think it was an awkward transition. It read to me like Henry was sitting outside and remembering arriving the night before to sleep in the couch. Karl came outside and talked to him the next morning.
Loved the guardian angel aspect of this and the beautiful emotional ending. The jumping back and forth in time was a bit confusing but liked the close relationship Markus had with his uncles.
