I disagree here, but that’s the beauty of stories: interpretation. A lot went into Corbin getting to this breaking point, including from his friends. But either way, he can’t stay this mad forever so you may be right. Or he can, who knows?

I feel like I need to be slightly protective here. At 20 yo, who amongst us was making perfect decisions? And lifelong commitments? I think you're being a little harsh on the guy, but that's my own clearly biased opinion. Plus, David is only the 4th guy he's kissed all semester long. Some of us have gone through 4 guys in the matter of one circuit party... Just saying. As always, thanks for the comment. Always entertaining to get your perspective!

Okay, can I say your phrases make me laugh. You’re right, this is a love story. Who Corbin ends up with is still TBD to this point, but surely you didn’t expect Corbin and Pete to all of a sudden walk a straight line towards relationship just because it’s a new semester? What kind of writer (and person) do you think I am.

Thanks for the comment. I got a bit of a lump in my throat when I revisited this chapter. I think you're right in your review- love makes people act like they are fools. But these two, well like I always say, it is a journey. Can they be foolish forever? Shall see.

Thanks for this comment. I LOVED Latter Days. What a great movie. I think your instincts are spot on here, and part of what you've discussed in your comment comes in to play. I'm glad Corbin's emotions came out here, because this was one of the most soul-baring chapters I wrote for this story. I'm very proud of it, and yet it's one of the most difficult to go back and read. Glad you enjoyed, and I'm enjoying learning about you in these reviews. Thanks!

Oh Mike jumping his own lockdown would complicate things... that’s a guess. I wonder who everyone is thinking will be on there. Either way, like you said, with Corning whomever it is it will complicate things further

Thanks for the comment. I’m sure Greek life will look a lot different in the fall. But I’m told hear and alcohol kill the virus, so maybe packed basements are safe 🙂

I'm not sure what the best way to address this question is, because it's super valid, but I also want to steer clear of anything that is a spoiler. Since you brought up David, I'll use him as an example. Even in past tense, I think Corbin is viewing this all as past tense. I wouldn't pay too much attention to when things are brought up in that tense, because basically as a writer its a tool I've used to show some separation, and in a way try to make Corbin more likeable in that, 10-12 years later he's able to show some learning from those moments. With that being said, I'm in contact with a large percentage of the guys are in the story, whether or not they stay focal or come and go. Hope that clarifies things. More to come!

I love the cruise ship metaphor. Thanks for this comment. I think we got to see a different layer of the two guys, and we'll see what that means for their relationship go forward. And don't think Corbin is letting Dom get away with this one- welcome or not, getting Mike put in lockdown is going to fuel some fire.

There is a lot going in this chapter, especially the end, so I'm not surprised at the reaction. Corbin and Pete and this point don't know how to interact without the vitriol. We've all been there with someone we love/hate. And you're right Mike did the only thing he knows how to do... and the fallout? we'll see I suppose. I wouldn't hold your breath on Corbin changing his tactics any time soon, however. They'e worked for him up to this point...' worked'... i'll put it in quotes.

I think I'm more protective of Corbin in comments than I am in the actual story- so I suppose it's refreshing to know you've given the guy the slightest break. I really enjoyed writing this chapter, even with the tough ending. Glad you;re enjoying the story.
