I must say that you have me hooked, @Robert Hugill... OK, I was hooked on chapter 2! I was such a changed person when I came home from Vietnam, that I dreaded it. I just knew that nothing was going to be the same. The fact was that it was the same! And that was worse. Might have? Um, Freudian slip? LOL!!!

I have to admit that my paranoia kicked in when Devin didn't come home when expected, that first night that Mac was studying for his finals. Then the next night, instead of ten o'clock it was eleven. Devin wanted sex but Mac didn't. Devin kept going out all that week. I'm glad that my paranoia was misplaced! Yes. It has become the highlight of their Christmas season at school.

Given how the Sarge acted with Jake, I don't think he'll do a darned thing. He may just figure that just deserts were handed out and Frank didn't really get hurt. See, this is what I'm worried about. That word, 'Rapist,' who all knows Jake was raped? What if/when Frank thinks about it, who's he gonna think messed up his car?

For his sake, I hope so. Even if he is dirty, I hope he comes clean. It's his only hope of a life. Marc may be a good guy overall, but let's not forget that he is a privileged kid!

Oh boy! Just when you think you have things in good stead, your Mom pops up and demands to have a talking-to! I wonder how Danny is going to handle this. Then there are the feelings he's having about Jake. I think Danny is going to have decisions to make, that he had never thought about before. Will Danny tell Nate about himself?

They do register marriages in Australia, yes? If the marriage certificate doesn't say where it took place, it will certainly say who performed the marriage. Either way, it can be traced.

Gotta remember that Ruby is out for any money she can get. If by doing this, she gets anything from the estate, via Jeff, then she is happy. Ruby either knew or found out about the insurance money left to Christine. The way this seems to be working, Christine may not have known she had money. If the marriage was legit, then Jeff would inherit that money.

Yeah. We would have a cartoon, coming attractions, and then the first movie. Sometimes it was even a good flick, one I hadn't seen when it was new. At the older theaters, they even showed a short serial before the main attraction came on. Those were fun if you were following them. I'm not sure, but perhaps @Mark Ponyboy Peters simply made a mistake. I just remember that we would give a short wave.

Ah, sweet innocence. I remember the first time I smoked the wacky stuff. It wasn't like Danny as I was already smoking tobacco. I didn't think anything was happening, just that everything had gotten way too funny! It took a bit before I realized I was stoned. Hah! Happy days! Poor Jake. He's realizing that he is falling for Danny and is not sure how to handle it. Then there is Danny. He knows he has feelings for Jake but he doesn't have a clue on what to do about it. Jake wants to 'teach' Danny and Danny wants to 'learn.' This is going to be fun to watch how far Jake will teach and how much Danny is willing to learn!

We could tell from the way that Sarge handled the beatdown that he was going to be no help at all. That's often the way things are in small rural towns. But Nate's brother, Lachlan, doesn't see it that way. Frank is going to get some kind of justice thrown at him if Lachlan has anything to say about the mess. Beat the guy up, but don't mess with his car! LOL!!!

I missed this! @James Baxter, that is generally how such laws end up working. However, what I had said earlier was the actual reason the people in Idaho voted the law in. There were billions of dollars in potato products that would have sat on the docks because the Unionized Dock Workers wouldn't touch non-union shipments. The law did make the rich, richer. But it also saved hundreds of jobs, just in my little section of Idaho.

I agree with some of the suspicions others have voiced. I also think that some of this has gotten back to Prince George. The fact that Greg is going ahead with the investigation, despite the Viscount telling him to drop the matter, will please the Prince even more when the facts come out. I believe we are seeing the beginnings of a bloody house cleaning.
