The only saving grace as regards Andre's abuse, and it will have to be pointed out to the parents, is that even if Andre enjoyed it, he was too young to give informed consent. That and he bought into the trap of the abuser that he, Andre, would go to jail.

It makes me wonder what type of mom she was before Daddy was murdered. I don't know how it is in Australia, but here in the States, it requires both men to be married and/or legal partners. Not all States even adhere to that! Gay men as foster parents are still looked at with varying degrees of suspicion. I agree that Andre needs to tell his parents and brother about the abuse before it is spread all over creation!

Granted we know nothing about Ollie's mother. But I have to ask... Your supposedly loved husband is killed and within a very short time, you are in another relationship? From what Ollie has said, the implication is that this "boyfriend" has been around for a few months. Is this normal? Rebound?

I don't recall Andre being able to say what age his perp was... Just an adult. Now, some unknown years later, Ollie has been raped by the same perp. My question has to be how old is this guy, now? Other than that, I was just as shocked at the turn of events as the rest of the readers. As much as what has happened to Ollie, but the renewed guilt that Andre will take onto himself! Yes, it does seem that Andre and Chris have found a child to care for... Rather the child has found them?

Um, guys? There is more at stake here than just a disclosure of what happened between Chris and Beau. Skye is also involved. How would she feel if this indiscretion were made public? ... Well, public within the family. And what is Beau going to feel if this gets back to Skye?

Train wrecks and car crashes... Yup. I agree with the good Dr. Sawzall! It appears that Andre is more sophisticated in the gay culture than Chris. Yet Chris seems to be more emotionally mature. Beau is still an unknown to me. That abrupt "switch-hitting" still bothers me enough not to trust the boy. I don't know enough about Mike or Jamie to venture an opinion.

The above strongly implies that A & J were missing for time enough that Chris noticed. Yes, I did notice that Michael knew where they were, and what they were doing. He didn't appear upset or worried. Did they have an open relationship? We don't know. Chris and Andre need to have a heart-to-heart talk and likely set some boundaries. I can sorta forgive the Doona Cover thing, only because Chris liked the end result. I'm still worried about the other "problems" that stand in the way of Andre moving in.

The ATVs would be useful should they find treasure, to haul it out of the mountains and forest. As for the fall, the cave was large enough to hold the four of them, out of sight of almost anyone looking for them. The ATVs can be stored (under tarps) on a trailer, pulled by the SUV. Starting at the top, you excavate what is needed to crawl through. You use the ceiling of the old cave as your guide and as the one place in the cave that won't fall on you. You only dig down as much as you need to. That fall can be scattered on the 'anteroom' floor until you break through to the inner cavern. How large the defilement is depends greatly on how much black powder was used to create it. A keg of black powder was around 30 kg (66 lbs).

I'll concede that point, minor though it is. While it would take much longer, hand tools would prevent the curious from speculating what is going on... Like the US or State governments. If a treasure is found, then it is time to bring in the 'artillery.' (I hope Bill is enjoying all this speculation!)
