I'm sure if you google it, you will find the Latin species name for them. But what I know is that in general, shrimp are more often smaller than prawns. Also if you get fresh shrimp and look at the first pair of legs, you will see those have little pinchers. Prawns, on the other hand, have pinchers on the first three pairs of legs. That alone shows they are different species. If you ever eat them, side by side, you will be able to tell a difference in taste. Prawns, by and large, are more salty-tasting.

Thanks, @Summerabbacat. I should have looked up my history. In the days of the colonies, they called it a "Peace Bond." Here in the US, it's generally called a BBQ... Unless you're in Texas. Then it's a Bar-B-Q (although I've seen it that way in several other states). I like my seafood and know the difference between prawns and shrimp (different tastes and different species). I prefer prawns.

I have a couple of questions for any of you Aussies out there... 1. What is a "Peace Bond?" 2. Is there a regional difference between calling it a Barbeque versus a Barbie? I've heard it and seen it written both ways.

One of the problems of having read a story, several years ago, is that one can often get confused with some of the details. I find myself chastizing my own earlier post wherein I intimated the group sex that was portrayed in this chapter occurred back then... sigh... Regardless, I can also say that had I been in that situation and had been as young as Luke is, well, I don't think I could have turned the sex down, committed relationship or not. I applaud the author for having Luke do that. I couldn't have run away like that. In other events, I am glad that Tony came clean even if at the last minute. He stood up to his tyrannical mum and set the record straight! Luke's dad got off lightly but I suppose this was a case of justice being carried out, rather than punitive law. Good chapter!

When Jake's head was hit by the Martial, it had to have been an extremely hard hit, to break his neck. Think about how hard his head was actually hit. Whether it was from the initial contact by the Martial or by contact with the floor. I'm mentioning this because most of you seem to be focused on Jake's spinal injuries. While many things can cause blindness, it is almost always caused by damage to the optic nerve(s), occipital lobe(s), or retina(s). While there are a few infections that can cause blindness, they are very rare. In normal mammals, injuries in those areas cannot be healed. Jake is a Vampire. So normal doesn't apply! 🤭

Thank you. I don't know how many of you have caught on to the fact that this story has much of my life in it. Like Peter, I'm not used to praise. Even at 73, it feels awkward and I often don't know how to respond.

Or like a hummingbird from flower to flower. Might have another chapter? The story is complete as it is, but I wouldn't mind reading a bit more about this romance.

I may not be much of an author (more of an editor), but I know one thing... Without conflict, there is no story. Might as well have the BBQ, the B-day party, and then everyone lives HEA. Somehow, someway, I don't think she is out of Oliver's life. More's the pity!

Nice chapter. It had a little bit of everything. Let's hope that it's mostly smooth sailing... Although that is likely to be too much to ask for.
