Hmm, cousin Ben, huh? Do I detect a bit of mischief there? I'm not sure why folks think the Ozarks are in Arkansas. Most of the Ozarks are in Missouri! So I'm guessing that the crew was in the Boston Mtn area (which IS in Arkansas).

Hmm, that was interesting! We know that Phill and Candice were not having the best of times (the very long engagement), but to be kissing a boy when your fiancé sees it... Her reaction is hardly surprising. Phill's reaction tells the whole story about that relationship. I sure hope Hoss doesn't get hurt.

Has Conner had an epiphany? Will it last? Time will tell, I suppose. And we still have the megalomaniac Agent on the loose. Never knowing when he'll pop up and cause more trouble.

Best line of the chapter: Pot? Meet Kettle!!! So the MIB and M have gone somewhere... With that flash of light, I'm assuming up to the mothership. From the way the MIB talked, he didn't destroy the ship, just the AI. So that is the ship I think they went to.

Um, no. What M said was: One life doesn't necessarily mean one body. Regardless, I took that to mean a rule, as in a traditional rule. So far, all I can think of is to destroy the current body (Burn it to ashes?) and wait to see if the MIB can be placed into another body. Of course, I can be wrong. It kinda all depends on whether the consciousness or intellect or whatever it's called is destroyed with the body or if it automatically is recalled into the storage banks.

I'm still not convinced that Hannah doesn't have a tracker in her. I think Mother had a trick up her artificial sleeve and convinced the MIB that he killed her... Hence she tells Conner he had to take care of M.

Yup. We've already seen one Warrior (the kids killed him) in an outer cavern. Now we have a dead True and two more Warriors. How many more does this Great Red have with him? Oh, and where is he?

The circle of humans that know about the ETs is growing. With Hannah's car sort of demolished, what are they going to run away in? Where would they go? And is it concerning to anyone that the Agent might have implanted a tracker in Hannah? Crap. All I have are questions!

Conner needs to grow up and grow a pair. M is an alien. If their technology can reanimate a dead body, why is it so hard to believe that they can implant a womb (and apparently, ovaries) in a male body? That somehow anal sex can lead to implantation? Truth!

I also enjoy the long chapters. Thank you for packing so much detail and emotion into your chapters, @mastershakeme. Well, if Conner isn't taken to jail for beating Good 'Ole Dad, then he needs to have "Mother" abduct him and remove the tracker before the MIB comes back! So, M has morning sickness? Well, he did say he could get pregnant!!! Damn!

I am going to guess that "Mother" is a sentient AI. Because of the way she(?) operates, I will also guess that she has some deep programming similar to Asimov's 3 laws of Robotics...

I guess I didn't make myself as clear as I should have. I wasn't asking or even wanting to have you change a thing. I thought I was merely imparting a bit of knowledge from having read Supreme Court decisions since 2002. My apologies for nit-picking.

While it would be nice, I don't expect it to happen anytime soon. The only good thing about this "accident" is that all their stories should match. Even though the police won't be able to find the mysterious man on the road. I wonder what their blood alcohol levels are... And yes, they will be tested. Especially, Conner.

First, a bit of clarification for any future reference: Ex parte means that the Court (the judge) is speaking with or making a decision with only one party of the controversy, not both parties. In the instance of the story, the Judge would have recessed the court and commanded both attorneys to meet him in chambers. Bryan is lucky. Whatever I might think of old Crustypants, he would have been entirely justified in charging Bryan with criminal battery and contempt of court. Personally, I wouldn't hold you to that. It is enough to know that "things are finally looking up."

There has been so much uproar over the sexual abuse of minors, that the word of the youngster is all that is required to send you to prison. It is worse because if it goes to trial and you win, the mere accusation is as good as a guilty plea to the community.
