    Chapter 9

The clues for Lucas the Lost are all out there. I picked up on them long before Roland asked me about it. That's about all I can say without giving away anything... Edited to add: As far as Frexla goes... 🤐🤐🤐

    Chapter 6

Yes. I'm with everyone else, @Geron Kees. This is not just a wonderful chapter in the life of our four friends, but most, if not all of the family secrets are out! And Christmas is for friends and Families!!! If the families did not already know about the relationships between the boys, they do now and seem to be happy with that. It is a shame that the real world cannot be as accepting as the worlds we make within our minds. Happy New Year to all!

    Chapter 9

I'm hoping you folks liked this chapter, as it is brand new. I messed up and this chapter will go live at the Castle on Monday the 1st. Then when Chapter 10 goes live here on the 8th, it will also go live at the Castle. We currently have 17 chapters of Crags of which only 14 chapters are at the Castle. We currently have 13 chapters of Sands and Roland is writing up a storm to catch up to Crags. After that, I'm not at all sure of how far I can "push" Kyle to write more of Crags. But at that point, Sands will have taken its own turn and won't be dependent upon whatever Kyle writes (or doesn't) for Crags... What I'd really like is if Kyle would buckle down and write more of Kandric (which I'm positive everyone else would like). Now to wait and see if I'm at all correct on the posting timeline, or if the two authors are gonna muck with me!
  4. I sure wouldn't want to be either of those arresting officers. Mom & Dad were at home. Without even an explanation or asking the suspect (after mirandizing him) his version of what happened, a common practice in front of the parents, it makes this episode look like the two cops played the race card. The Prosecutor should have had the police expunge the arrest. That this did not occur, furthers civil charges of racist behavior. Roy's phone would have been kept as evidence. The prosecutor would have insisted on knowing who videoed the scene. Cory is a material witness. All four boys would have been arrested for both Assault and Conspiracy at a minimum... My warped brain can think of a couple more criminal charges, just to pile it on. Failure to do this may result in civil charges against the police, as a whole. Against the two arresting officers in particular. Against the prosecutor's office and the prosecutor in particular. Look, I'm not one to hollar "RACE" at the drop of a hat. This incident, taken as a whole, screams such behavior on the part of the police department. Because the prosecutor did not offer to expunge the arrest, that department would also be liable. This entire mess could have been avoided if the arresting officers had done their due diligence at Roy's home before the arrest had taken place. However, these are all things that a normal person would not know. Given that, the chapter was good.

    Chapter 9

The other side of that coin is that humans can survive a long time with critical injuries before they expire.

    Chapter 3

I think they first have to define the problem before they can solve it.

    Chapter 2

Oh Wow! I'm guessing that we are about to learn about the House and who built it!

    Chapter 8

I would caveat that, @drsawzall. Brian's father will not survive his 'lesson.' Greg is rightfully pissed at the man. We are now starting to see some of the powers that Greg is finding. Wonderful chapter!

    Chapter 9

Please understand that Kyle drew the basic map long before he actually firmed up The Kandric Saga. The only city location on the original was Protectors Keep. He put way too many lakes on the map. Roland and I went through a partial map (about three years ago), cut out what you now see, and labeled stuff the best we could at the time. I need to update things, I now have a better idea of what is what. Notice that there is no way to get from almost anywhere to Lucas The Lost via barge? That was something that Pontarious did in one of the Kandric Chapters (I'm too lazy to look it up).

    Chapter 9

I really should get a map of the Kandric world online, so people can see where things are. FYI, Scorpian Falls is way to the west and south of Silverton. The gang is headed for Lucas The Lost after Silverton. That village is North and east of where they are now.
  11. Not sure what you mean by a 'smart' homophobe. The ones I've run into either parrot what they've heard or quote religious texts. Neither of which are 'smart.'
  12. See my prior post, 'cause that's just the way it happens in most American jurisdictions. He won't unless or until Roy is taken into the interrogation room.
  13. That went about what I thought the cretin would do. Normally, the first one to call the police is the one they believe. Luckily, We not only have a complete video, but we have a knife with only one set of prints on it, should the cops think that Roy attacked them with it. So, all in all, it might take some time but the cops will release Roy and be knocking on someone else's door! Depending upon the complaint filed, it is a misdemeanor at best. It could be taken to be a felony. Stellers? You have some 'splainin' to do! Good chapter, Lee!

    Chapter 1

It just wouldn't be a proper Christmas without a Charlie Boone story! We knew it was being written and would be coming... But to actually start reading it? Superb!
  15. Here it is, Christmas Eve. I don't know why I waited this long to read this story. But I did. There is not much that I can add to all that has already been said, Bill. My nose is still running and my eyes are still shedding tears. Merry Christmas, Bill, and to all of you out there. My wish is that the next year will be better than this one has been. All the best, Al

    Chapter 5

While I don't wish to get into 'wine wars,' I have to say that white wine is almost always served with fish and most birds. Likewise, full-bodied reds are generally served with beef and many pork entrees. A full-bodied white may be used depending on how the pork is presented. I would also not dismiss the California varietals. They have come a long way and won several awards over their French counterparts. Much to the chagrin of the French. I guess we will have to agree to disagree, @Jason Rimbaud.

    Chapter 7

Merry Christmas to everyone! Great Christmas Present, Justin. I love it!!! So, Greg learns a lesson and Brian finds his true mate... I guess Jake won't be the first to be turned.

    TA-Epilogue

Just finished my second read of this story. I will admit that you still evoked many of the same emotions I had on the first read, last January. That shows the skill of a good author. All I can ask is that you let loose your muse and continue to write.
  19. That was my first thought as I read those lines... Yup. That sounds more like it!

    Chapter 6

That was also my decision, @gmc. The story has already diverged from what I remember, so I'm more than happy to read the 'new' chapters as they come about.

    Chapter 6

Well, Greg is back at the farm and things will start to be moving... At least it seems that way!

    Chapter 5

These are minor corrections. If someone pointed it out, correct it and thank the person. If you just saw the error, correct it and no comment is needed. That's the way I do stuff at the Castle. No one has complained in the nine years I've run that site.

    Chapter 2

The evangelicals have always been a problem for anything that strikes them as different. That and they rely too much on the Old Testament. A part of the Bible that was supposedly fulfilled with the coming of Jesus. Then you have the Catholics who rely upon Tradition (big T as opposed to little t) as being sacred, forgetting that homosexuality was not an issue for the first thousand years of that church (3rd Lateran Council of 1179).
  24. Al Norris

    Chapter 5

I remember the original. I'm liking this rewrite much better.
  25. Slow Burn! Given what Roy's Dad said, the boys best watch how they look at each other. Especially when school stars. Roy may not have a problem with the other kids, but he can't be around to protect Cory all the time. I do like the way this is starting.
