  1. You're still using AOL's built-in browser, doesn't that cover it?
  2. Don't forget: H. The penalty for Adultery shall be death by stoning of both. (The Politicians would never agree to all of these if this was in there.)
  3. For the first time in months I am sitting here in tears...but these are from pure unadulterated laughter! That's the finest example of comedy timing at the very end!
  4. I agree, but some good must come out of it...I think David's bucking for "King of Cliffhangers" for this year...
  5. Dion, Hi... Forget but not forgive...what you have been through, just from the description above, would be unforgivable. This relative of yours who posts on an internet forum could be arrested by the FBI: Using interstate wires to transmit information in a conspiracy to commit murder is a real Federal Felony charge, whether the planning is acted upon or not. All the FBI has to do is verify that he is the poster...and they're very good at obtaining information... The people from your school years, just tell 'em "Karma's a bitch" and that you plan on outliving them.
  6. Just read Ch. 27...and although you've got a story set in the 1700's, I'm finding myself anxiously waiting for the next story centered on the Crampton/Schluter/Hayes clan and their friends! It's gonna be so great!
  7. I also loved Cats, Phantom' and also Chicago--which was great in London, then 2 days later we were in Orange County, California, for our local subscription....London's performance was much better and Rob got into the Theatre for free...I had to pay! But it was worth it!
  8. That should also be a lesson to the crackheads--as if they'd listen--that if you're going to rob someone to keep up your habit, you better damn sure rob someone you DON'T know--because the one's you DO know will never forgive you for putting your habit over their life, friend or not.
  9. Are you having trouble staying logged in Galahad? I don't...are you sure it's the site?
  10. Rose, I like the story, I also like the Clary character--perhaps there's some way to get him through it and recover if he's physically hurt?
  11. 'Cause when an Elephant does it with a Chimpanzee, when the Elephant get's to that "certain point" the Chimpanzee explodes! Any other questions?
  12. I've been reading a lot of the stories here, and I think gardentuber is probably referring to Mark Arbour's Man in Motion, in which the protagonists have at least three family members and three friends contract HIV and 5 died of AIDS (very quickly) and one of the currently surviving characters, that the protagonists rescued, is HIV+, but is so far, not suffering with any AIDS related maladies. The reason for his own HIV+ status is extremely promiscuous sex, and his drug use habits are heretofore unknown, although they have been reasonably alluded to. I don't mind the plot of his story, the telling has been great, but I am disappointed that the one "rescue" had contracted HIV... I have to temper my own likes and dislikes, however, with the fact that an author may write fiction woven into the reality that is our world as it is or was. Mark's weaving of Man in Motion into the 1980's--while slapping us in the face with the reality of that one thing we don't want to admit exists--is at the very least, believable despite the fictions created. Gardentuber, I also do not like to be reminded of the reality of the existence of HIV, that's why I try to enjoy the stories for the love expressed in them. But I've been living with it for 19 years, and it's a fact and I've got to live with twice a day for the rest of my life, just like 60 million other people dealing with it for the rest of their lives, and like those 20 million people did who aren't here anymore: It's here, but it can't change who I am.
  13. Maybe, but there's a joke out there that implies that it's funny to watch! Will you ask me why?
  14. Actually, that could be interesting if they're mating with chimpanzees...
  15. But tunes generate so many questions...what will we ask about here?
  16. Okay, okay, I agree with everyone, re: Cambronne getting what he deserves, Jerry too...and about Jim being knocked down a peg...since Marie undoubtedly knew he, as well as Richard, was screwing Bitty. But why the quick cutoff in the paragraph after the eulogy? You were going to say, "Claremont..." but cutoff at, "Cl"--what's that about? Another cliffhanger?
  17. That's actually a toughie, since it's quite easy to accomplish both. Assuming I wasn't anywhere near my family I would choose to stay New Year's Eve with friends, of course the opposite assumption could also be made, if all my friends went away to their families for Christmas, why shouldn't I also--then staying with them through New Year's Eve wouldn't be that difficult, either. Assuming one would cause a series of events that would preclude the other? I'd have to spend NYE with friends...
  18. Congratulations, Sir_Galahad! I do beleive the first release of "Someday, My Prince Will Come" was in Snow White...(as I said, I didn't research it, just from remembering the movie) The next question is yours, I believe? Unless you'd rather I ask another?
  19. And that's just what I did with this person--the possibility of salvaging a friendship with him was my motivation--he was, interestingly enough, the only person from High School I found that I sincerely wanted a friendship with--even after all these years.
  20. James hesitated so Resi repeated his question, to which James had to swallow before he could reply, "What's happenning to you, Resi? And why can I still understand you when you don't appear to be human anymore?" At the last, he let go of Resi's front paws, which brought Resi's face level with his own--Resi looked like a blond wolf!
  21. Nope, how far back in time can you go?
  22. Mine was an movie out in the late 70's or early 80's calle The Changeling. A supernatural thriller.
  23. Lacey, the poster was looking for irrational fears...and I can handle snakes, probably 'cause I know they eat vermin and spiders...
  24. I sent him a followup e-mail a couple weeks later...I know it was delivered, but don't know if he bothered to read it...just explaining that I had been depressed and wanted to let him know what had happened from my side--I could tell that he was extremely hurt that I hadn't followed through back then from the expressions that his face went through, those were emotions I was very familiar with and could read very easily in others--and that I had really wanted a chance to get it off my chest before he faded back into the woodwork. I'm pretty much "over it" but I'd still like to hear from him again--he was the only person in all of my schooling who was ever nice to me, and as I said in my previous post, I found that I liked it. I wanted more interaction like that, but it never came to pass. Life's been good since...actually, it was still rough until about 18 years ago... But, out of all the kids in my graduating class (485), 50% of the guys ended up as dream fodder, and the rest didn't amount to much. I don't find myself wanting to reconnect with any of the others from my own class--only this one person (who was 2 years behind me), who never made it into the "dream fodder" category (and that's in a good way).
  25. In doing so, James noticed Resi's arms were almost completely covered in his light brown hair, and his hands now seemed to be changing while he held them...looking up at Resi, James almost fainted again when he noticed the changes which had happened to Resi's facial features.
