  2. Well, I can still remember using windows2.0 Way back then, I could get it to do everything I needed. Windows 95 was nice and 98 just added a few things(and killed all my dos based games ) I kinda got forced into XP and I'm kinda liking it . Vista isn't bad, I just need my nephew to show me how to log in as an admin so I can delete things...Okay, Okay, because of all the "protected' filesthat windows thinks it still needs and I know it doesn't...VISTA SUCKS!! sorry, didn't mean to get all rilled up Hugs, Tom

    Religion

Hi Kurt I'm one of "those" people that don't care to be part of any organized religon. I do believein god tho. With that said, I don't think the religon matters as much as the person. If a person holds other religons to be dramaticly inferior to their own, it might be better to stear clear of the situation Hugs, Tom
  14. I answered no. the risks are just to high. I mean, it's not like herpes; HIV will kill you. The worst part is, I couldn't even be friends with them. let me explain...I had a friend that was diagnosed with cancer in her mouth. She had surgery then six months of radiation treatments. Four months into her treatments she needed a ride to the hospital and I took her. to see this woman go from a energetic cheerful person with an amazing sense of humor to a worn down, radiation burnt, husk of her former self; was just too much for me ...I couldn't even handle seeing her during her last days there is just no way I could knowingly befriend someone I knew was going to slowly die in front of me, letting them think I would be there till the end, when I couldn't be sure I could live up to those expectations
  15. Unless the works that got completed were so far off from what you intended that you had a heart attack and deid again

    Broadway?

This is soooo unfair I have to drive 30 miles to go to the IMAX theater...fourty to go to a concert and the nearest "broadway" type theater is....Portland??? Idaho is so uncultured well, there is the taco bell arena, and it does everything from Tractor pulls to Rock concerts, but it's usually sold out well in advance Hugs, Tom
  17. Rad, sorry...but if I died before I finished IFLM...I don't want it finished. you are right about it being an expression of my soul...My heart and soul actually...and I feel that only I could write it the way it needs to be written. If I had a few more stories posted I might feel differently about them but I don't yet. Yes, I want everything I write to get finished, but if I came back, I would be very upset to find anything was finished without me the other problem I have with finishing someone else's work...some authors can write in many different styles...I'm not one of them even if the author asked me to personally, I wouldn't do it. I don't think I could do justice to another persons work....even with a full rewrite. it wouldn't be their spark that brought light to the characters faces...a candle from a different spot on the table still throws out different shadows Hugs, Tom

    Incest

I have to give this one a maybe. If the author includes a warning I might start the story. If I get the feeling the story revolves around incest I would stop reading it at that point. if the story line brushes over incest(like background info for a charicter) I'd probably try to see where the story goes. Hugs, Tom
  19. OH God...I've been thinking again I said yes to the poll, but I think I want to change my answer. First, lets realize that there are diffrent "levels" of being out. My BF is out to 3 people(as in, we told them) and has had it rumored everywhere. I'm out to the same three plus a few more. We have not told our parents, mainly because the balance we all have is comforable. Now, the reason I want to change my vote?? He is fairly determined to keep the number of people that know at three while there have been times I would have loved to sit down and talk with a few guys that 'advertised' the main reason I missed the gathering in SF was he wouldn't go and it's looking the same for Dallas Now, I love him, so I feel I need to respect his feelings and help him keep his secret. of course, that means I can't do some of the things I want to do. in short, I love the man but...I don't think I would recomend some one else, starting a relationship with someone that wasn't out to the point where both of you were comfortable BTW...Frenchcanadian, thanks for pointing out that I am out, just not as much as I'd like to be Hugs, Tom
  20. If the shoe fits! My grandfather lived to be 97...now thats ancient I'm so sorry the choice was taken from you
  21. 35?? shame on you...the trouble isn't if I'm in the closet or not; it's the generation gap. when I was in high school, I generally had to hide from the football team...did you?? The scars of my youth still show today O.K. so my devout mormon mother and my boyfriends devout jahova witness parents aren't good enough reasons to stay in the closet? do I really have to confirm their suisspicions or can I just continue to not advertise our relationship?? leave it to a fifteen year old to hit on the most important part! At home, my BF and I use the word "love" often. In public, we say we care about each other from Kevin's post In sum, I guess what I'm getting at is that older folks may have more internal difficulties coming out, and younger folks may have more external difficulties, but individuals in both groups can easily face the opposite to the same or a greater degree. Happily though, I think individuals in both groups may find the coming out process easy and relatively painless Anyway, let's cut each other some slack Take care all Kevin O.k. Maybe I should appologize now for being kinda mean. I just get a little riled up when people say that because I'm older, I'm a problem.
  22. Menzo, I agree...then again? One child from my partner would be wonderfull...then I want a full house I don't see anything wrong with doing both as long as every child is given all the love and support you can
  23. I agree whole heartedly...sex in it self is one person giving them selfs to another. If I don't have feelings for a person they ain't getting in my pants! of course I'm old fashoned...might as well stress the old part too hugs, Tom
  24. well, I had to pick 'other' two main reasons....the first, even with the definitions, I am totally lost the second...some of the bible sounds good, but it wasn't written by God himself...the only part that is said God wrote was the ten comandments and even those were translated by man, so I don't really feel it's as "devine" as people make it out. Basicly, I use the 'big ten' more as guidlines than comands...and I let my consciece do the rest
