Good chapter. I liked it but I have to admit to a little trouble with the time-line jumping. I've never really been comfortable with stories like that but this one is easy enough to follow.
Just read first three chapters. They're all great, as usual, and tell a compelling story. I look forward top reading more and finding out what happens.
I'm quite satisfied with the way you post your stories. There are times, like early morning, I want shorter length chapters. If I want more, I read a longer story and as a chronic re-reader, there's always got something to return to. I'm more curious about what grandpa has in mind. He's a crafty one!
I like everything about this chapter. Yes, Pam definitely went too far and has issues but I do feel sorry for her and what she's going through,. It's probably grief with a lot of guilt over not preventing her daughter's cancer. She needs to see a counselor if she hasn't already. I love Liebe but who wouldn't?
Great start. I can't wait to read more about Liebe and her dads. Kids and Christmas just go together. I don't remember Pam being that bossy but it's possible I simply don't remember. In any case, I look forward to more.
I'll admit to being pissed off when I wrote that review. Many hours later, I have reread and reminded myself not to write reviews in a snit. Most of it I stand by but, really, I love your stories and will continue reading. It just felt like a practical joke to me and I HATE practical jokes. And, yes, Chipper's future is set but I would have liked to know who won. It's known that when the audience judges, anything can happen and Bliss was also madly talented.
A great story but I think the ending was a cop-out, unless you have some surprise planned. Withholding the name of the winner is a cheap plot device. Rather than enhance the wait to find out the winner, to me it makes that announcement completely anticlimatic. You build up everyone and then don't deliver? It leaves a very bad taste in my mouth and tends to make me avoid authors who do that sort of thing. I've followed all your stories so far but...
