  1. People who drag their feet when they walk.
  2. Sam, 60 looks good on you. May I just say that I'm further enamored, despite the fact that you can not and will not reciprocate my feelings. Oh, well, you have an open invitation to my harem, should you change your mind.
  3. Happy Birthday, Eric.
  4. I have a chainsaw and I've been practicing using it on the hedges. And I learned how to use an axe to split wood. I actually had a couple of zombie killing fantasies. I am so ready.
  5. People who throw around the the word "hate" without thinking about its implications People who decide they don't like something without trying it first People who unnecessarily reinforce every point People who don't use signal lights Fidgety passengers when I'm driving People who say stupid things and get angry when you point out that what they said was, indeed, stupid
  6. Cia said what I was going to say, almost verbatim. And that makes me sad, because I really thought I was being original when I thought of it. Oh, well. Happy Birthday, or whatever, and I hope it's a good one, ya know?
  7. I bought this book a couple of years ago when I wanted a gay hero. Apparently Stan Lee was working with Showtime to make series, but I think that fell through. I would love to see a gay superhero on television, but this book is a read, it's really good.

  9. lol That amused me, but then again, I am sick and wrong.
  10. That's what Pandora said.
  11. Oh, we're doing whole poems now...alright, I'm gonna go with Marianne Williamson for 500: Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not just in some; it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others. BOOM! I just dropped an awesome bomb!
  12. Have you ever seriously attempted suicide? Never, it's never been appealing to me. While my own life has never held any extra importance to me, it's always been my desire to use it in the best possible way. I've endangered my own life for others, and others have claimed that I've tried to commit an indirect suicide, but I'm always happy when I come out of it. It means that I can do more, that I continue to live my life to lift up others. This conviction doesn't come from me just being an awesome person, it comes from losing people to suicide, too many people, and knowing that I could have made a difference had I intervened. Too often people forget the impact that their lives have on others. I have the good fortune of being constantly reminded. I'm also constantly reminded of how beautiful the world is. It may also be attributed to my aversion to pain.
  13. Myr has birthdays? I thought he just poofed into appearance one day. Muy interesante. At any rate...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
  14. I'd never heard that story before. That's more terrible than anything I could imagine. There's still a lot of work to do before we're equals in the world. I don't know. I get complacent here. My greatest fear in high school was being picked on because I was gay, losing friends, but I never had to worry about being raped or killed. I am so sorry for Eudy Simelane and the other women who suffered those attacks. I, sincerely, hope that there has been progress, because this is not okay. **I went back and typed in "corrective rape" and I found nothing else about this. It really should be a bigger deal. This is something that you should see on the news everyday when they're doing celebrity stories. It's something that should be emphasized until it's given proper attention. That's it's not is really scary to me. I feel like I should have known about this before now.
  15. I rather enjoyed the story, but I was disheartened by the comments. It's easy to forget the level of disdain that the word "gay" brings out of people. There was nothing gratuitous in this story and it wasn't pushing an agenda. I thought it was sweet, and real, and well-written. I felt as if I really got a sense of the characters in a very limited amount of time and I found them likable. I didn't read the other submissions, but I can see why might have won. Thanks for sharing. Stories like this should be called to our attention.
  16. "The cake is a lie." (I couldn't help myself...)
  17. This is a quote from Patrick (WatchPatRun) from a while back before he randomly decided to delete me on facebook...I'm not bitter about it...but anyways, here it is. He said this to me at a time when I was going through some really difficult stuff: "But don't ever feel like you are not self-sufficient, because even if you get into a relationship, you need to be. If you can't rely on yourself, then you certainly can not rely on someone else either. ALWAYS keep your independence no matter what. It's vital to survival. lol."
  18. Aww, 15... Happy Birthday, DC. Belated...anyways...
  19. Helllooooooooooooooooooooooooo Holly!
  20. Chuck Palaniuk: What I want is to be needed. What I need is to be indispensable to somebody. Who I need is someone that will eat up all my free time, my ego, my attention. Someone addicted to me. A mutual addiction.
  21. Happy 47th!
  22. I feel that sex scenes don't cheapen a story when done properly. There's nothing wrong with getting a little rise out of someone's sexual encounter, so long as that's not the only thing I feel in the entire story. You still have to have a solid plot, developed characters, and readable content. How a character reacts to sexual stimuli and the impulses associated with sex are indicative of a characters overarching personality. ADIDAGS. But my thoughts on it in writing are limited.
  23. Yeah, there's definitely a quality control issue when it comes to gay fiction anywhere else on the net.
  24. I haven't started a topic in forever, and that's mostly my fault. But the rest of the blame falls to Nate ( ). I don't know why...it's just that way. But...my special e-friend Eros ( )'s personal connection to the story Desert Dropping by DomLuka ( ), got me thinking about my first stories on GA and how they changed and affected me in real life. To understand what I'm talking about, go here (gosh, I hope he doesn't mind me outting him like this) Two stories that had an especial effect on me when I first got here were Vampire Jared and DD. Why? I don't...know... Now down to the question, which makes this topic acceptable for Q & A: What stories on the site, if any, made you feel like this? You can explain why or you can just name the story. I think it'd be a great way for us to relate to one another and share some of our favorite stories. But I could be wrong... *And I know that this has probably been done...but I can't find the topic.
  25. Oh, my, Paula's 18? Muy interesante. Hi, now that you're an adult I feel that I should introduce myself. Hi, my name is Greg and my interests include you. Happy Birthday!!!
