  1. Stunning! Gabriel is surely a deadly beauty (in every sense of the word) and traps the reader in his spell. I loved images and words that should have put Cyan on the alert (red eyes, pale complexion, the house where Gabriel lives then called lair, gentle kisses focused on the neck...) but vampires are too seductive to make their pray pay attention to lurking fear. In a way I think Gabriel was in love with Cyan and I like to think that not having killed him might be a promise for a future everlasting bond.

    Hiding

It's the first story by you I read and I loved it, in spite of all the pain it features. There's horror but also hope. At the end of the story I had a smile on my lips thanks to the concept of sharing bad experiences to help other people out. It connected to my personal life, even if on a different matter. I always think that the hell I went through loses its weight and, to some extent, becomes less nonsensical any time it can make someone else feeling they're not the only one on Earth to suffer the same. Thanks for your words
  4. Thanks you all for this warm welcome! I'm sure I'll love any story. Hugs.
  5. Hi everybody! I'm Elena from Italy and I'm here thanks to my friend Marzipan A pity I don't have all the time I wish so I won't be around much but I'm a professional bookworm I love reading good stories and dropping a comment on the emotions they give me. On this quiet Sunday afternoon, let's start reading
  6. As a woman, I've discovered that it's mostly a social-induced problem (there are exceptions, of course). I mean, since in they early years, females are made insecure by the standars set for them. They must learn fast to be well groomed, graceful, pretty, nice, polite, slim, fashionable and all (I'm referring, of course, to the standards existing in the society I live in but I have the feeling that it must be likewise almost everywhere). Then, when a person is insecure, everything can trigger wrong reactions like those (even if a bit extreme LOL ) reported in that article.
  7. On the day of the 100th anniversary of his birth I read about his story. While discovering what this true genius has done and invented and how brilliant (but that's just an understatement) his mind was, my eyes went bigger and bigger in admiration and awe. Then I went through the part about his life... My eyes were still big but this time in horror! I thought of Rita Levi Montalcini (now 103) who, escaping untimely death from Nazi racial laws, has given her huge contribution to mankind as well as Alan Turing could have kept on doing. Even without taking into account personal feelings of the prosecuted people (which actually is the most important issue), even in crude terms of gains and losses of money and power, the fact that a Country can waste lives on flimsy basis such as sexual orientation and race is something that I can't grasp.
  8. Any good horror movie and thriller. My fav TV series (even if here, in Italy, we see them with a 10-year delay XD) is Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I love black cats and Salem is so perfect! Sly, coy, selfish but kind at heart
  9. Very interesting topic! I've always found androgynous guys very appealing because they don't stick to a definite role or behavior which, in Italy - the merry land of cavemen - always lead to treating women like something less and worthy only on the basis of their sexual attributes. I think androgyny is not only about features but also about manners and way of thinking. I appreciate a lot the blurring of genders maybe because I was born and still live in this Country. I see it as a start to free people from labels that only lead to disrespect and consequent unease. Eventually, I think that strong gender identity belongs more to social standards than to the real inner self. Of course, this is only my experience
