Extremely well written, fast paced, with many plot twists. All of the Carter stories are great, but this is perhaps the best! Topher Lydon is rapidly becoming a legend among modern writers. The character development of Will, Andrew, Peter and the rest makes you feel that you know them and are right there. I thoroughly enjoy reading each one and can't wait for the next installment!

What a beautifully written chapter. The smaller, seemingly weaker Tommy, who Jacob feels he must protect, has just become the stronger shadow protector to him. It takes it's toll on Tommy, but he locks his fears away in front of Jacob. With Will, he lets the box open and his fears come out. Then, Will pulls out the adoption option for Tommy, and you turn me into a blubbering mess. Good job!

I'm loving reading this story again from the beginning. Tala finally finds out who the rancher is and confronts him. Things are coming to a climatic conclusion. GO TALA! -
Book 2 will be great. Jeremy and Carter eventually reunite, Dexter gets his for all his subterfuge, and Laura goes on Prozac! All becomes right with the world.
