  3. To most of you here, this is all history, that you learned about in school and films from that era. At my age I lived through most of it and remember all those events, seeing them as they unfolded. I can remember where and what I was doing when news of President Kennedy's death was announced. The civil rights marches, speeches, rallies and later the riots on the news and since American TV channels were what we mostly watched, I felt more like an American at times than Canadian. I have watched and listened to his last speech dozens of times, over the years. What I thought in 68 and still believe now, is he some how knew his time was short, one of those feelings we all get at one time or another. Less than a day later, his premonition came to pass and he was gone to glory. Who knows what might of been had he lived. In death a guiding light, alive a force that could of move mountains. 10. Stay true to yourself, yet always be open to learn. Work hard, and never give up on your dreams, even when nobody else believes they can come true but you. These are not cliches but real tools you need no matter what you do in life to stay focused on your path. -Phillip Sweet sandrewn

  21. Now that I have more time, I'm at a loss for words. You gave us a bit of a scare with your last hospital visit. Try not to do that again, please. It is good to see that you as our resident Ocarina player are keeping your fingers loose and nimble. I mean, to be able too continually make those great quilts, shows your digital dexterity. The little birds on this one for your niece will captivate her as she gets older. I counted 58 birds or bird parts thereof, in the photo you sent. Take care of yourself, my friend, you are an important patch and part of this living quilt that makes up GA. This is an after the fact post, so the cake is but yummy food for thought. The video, well your chosen name here, explains that. As the many before me, I hope... That You Arpeggio (A.K.A. Lacey) Had a Great & Happy Birthday!!!
