  1. Ut oh, double posting day! @Mikiesboy is your bank the same TD that we have branches everywhere around here? Every time I contact CS I wonder if I am going to end up online with you!

    Forevermore

I love the imagery of stars being receptacles for love and the history of said love. Talk about cloud storage!
  3. Morning all. I crashed early, which makes sense if you consider I started at 3 am! Characters have a way of taking over a story that way. If they dont want to be a short, they let you know!
  4. Yeah, but you said ancient first, and us old folk hear some words louder than others!
  5. Yep, but hard to find. We have a museum dedicated to em! Talk about feeling old!
  6. Your mum and I are the same age. Careful who you call ancient! Mum's dont take things like that well!
  7. wanna talk pinball? hush. Pinball was 60's and 70's Ancient? ANCIENT?? I resemble that remark!
  8. Lol I frequently start comments on poor grammar when editing with "I know you will not change this, but..." and/or. "Dont change this but correct would be..." I scored a 10, but also intentionally "break the rules".
  9. At least I am not alone in lost-ville.
  10. Thorn! You are supposed to be sleeping! For that matter, so am I!
  11. Morning all. Chores done, horses delivered safe and sound, and now @ Denny's having breakfast, all before dawn. Who decided horse shows start so early? With a two hr drive to this one we had to load @ 4 am! Riding without could prove rather uncomfortable!
  12. Good morning all. Horses delivered to the show grounds, gear unloaded and organized, and am now off for the day. Something to be said for finishing the days chores befor dawn! Early dinner then miscellaneous munchies and a movie till the ball drops. Much safer staying home when you live this close th NYC.
  13. Evening all. Long day and tomorrow will be longer. Need to load horses @ 4 am to have them to a show on time. Gas stove or electric? If electric get a sealed flat glass top. Soooooo easy to keep clean!
  14. Are you sure you two dont sit together discussing what to write? This flows so well! And what is more amazing, I understand it. Poetry is not my thing. It often takes days of thought befor I get what the author is saying, but this spoke to me quite clearly.
  15. I leave that on till you can't see through it any more! Almost like new when I finally peel it off. I recommend a lesson in roping.
  16. That's the way it should be!
  17. That's a touch more one sided than I would like, but closer to the way things should be. With us it is similar, except when he gets in a mood and I have to kick. The harder I kick, the less I have to do it.
  18. That's where our issues start. If I dont toss a bit of a fit I get ignored. Then I have to decide if I should let it slide or break out the shit kickers.
  19. What finally worked is I gave him an ultimatum. Fix some of the shit or leave. We still have periods that we fight more than not, but I have changed over the years and just toss the shit back at him. One night he told me he didn't like getting hit with the shit, I told him then dont throw it at me, I am throwing it back from now on. Got better after that!
  20. Truth is important. Hubby and I did marriage counciling at my insistance during a rough patch about 20 years ago, at my insistance. I let him choose the shrink. After six months of sessions, we did an assesment, and I told her I did not see any change in the issues that were making me miserable in the first place, but I did see a difference in how I reacted to them. She told me that was all I could expect, I should not expect him to make any changes. I walked out and never went back. It was a colossal waste of time because I had the wrong doc for the job. Had she told me that first session I could have saved myself months of aggravation in keeping apointments in a busy life, and thousands of dollars!
  21. I know the feeling well. Just once in a while I want to be able to curl up in a ball and be held and taken care of, rather than the fixer around here. As for dads, I cant complain too much. Mine was a grumpy, opinionated, stubborn SOB, but his head was on straight and took care of mom the way she deserved. Mom passed first and lived on a shelf in my dinning room till he passed three years later, then we made arrangements to sprinkle thier cremains around the lighthouse in the middle of the harbor here. When bored, they would get into thier boat and go for a "put-put" as dad called it - dead slow out, once around and then back to the dock. So thats what we did, with the chaplain of their boating club saying a few words over a loud speaker. We must have had 30 boats circling that tiny light house!
  22. Thorn, dont you ever sleep???
  23. You can say that again!
  24. Any improvement is progress, and if it continues improve you are better off than you started! Are there side effects to deal with?
