  1. Not stupid, delusional. it thinks you are on EST (GMT - 5h)
  2. Do you document the days everyone agrees and celebrate?
  3. Good for you! But somehow that statement reminds me of a childrens book.
  4. Careful. Huge dust bunnies have been known to hide under beds and they can be vicious.
  5. I understand what you are going through. When dad had a stroke, I started and finished a counted cross stitch piece in the time I sat around waiting on doctors while dad slept. Bring a book, a project, your tablet, anything to distract you and make time move faster. And remember we are here thinking about you!
  6. Or maybe bring your tablet?
  7. Got access through your phone? We will keep you company! Morning all.
  8. Good morning all. Trainers help but are expensive. When we got our first dog, I was comfortable training him, but hubbie didn't think my methods would be effective, so he went to a joint class, teaching both dog and handler. Turned out her methods were very similar to mine. I think hubby learned more than the dog did! Either way hit the local pet shop and get a training cellar suitable to your breed. They look abusive but cannot get over tightened like a choke collar can. My goldens had one with prongs just long enough to get through the ruff of fur. There are ones with shorter for flat haired dogs. They loved to see the "work collars" come out as it meant going someplace they could meet new peeps! My horse gets that look every time a student manages to fall off. I say manages because he tries to step under them and keep them up if they loose their balance. You were focusing on the V
  9. At least you got to take it easy. I have been working through what ever it is I have. Had the nerve to take one day off and have been playing clean up ever since. I NEED a vacation, but am honestly afraid of leaving them alone for any length of time.
  10. Good Morning Froggy! And everyone else too!
  11. Ummm... silly question time. Puppy belongs to flatmate. Why do YOU have to get up to walk the little furball?
  12. I have come to the conclusion I HATE scrap yard days. I was backing a trailer with about a ton of scrap steel in to be unloaded, and I guess I was moving too slow for the pickup with the bed loaded behind me. He cuts around and skids to a stop to be unloaded first. Had I not been moving slowly I would have backed right into him, he left that little a space!
  13. Amazing what they can do with fondant isnt it? Happy Day dugh! Good morning to the rest of you lot!
  14. And set the timer for 15 when you sit down! When it rings get up and start over. I can. Start with the smallest spot you can, like the night stand. Resist the urge to "stage" things, especially in the public areas of the flat. Put things directly where they belong the first time you pick it up. I live with a hoarder who will move the same item four or 5 times and never get it to its "home".
  15. Morning peeps. Work, blahhhh I love my job, honest. It's the peeps I dont care for much. The hands ran down one of our feeds on Monday. Had they said something then ( I was there ALL DAY) I could have picked up a bag befor the feed supplier closed. Nope, they wait till New Years Day to tell me, when every feed store in the state is closed, and then get mad at me because they NEED it to make dinners!
  16. Is not Cowboy Summer, but I think you are right in that it's from Andrew Todd's collection. If you liked Todd's stuff you should also like Cowboy Summer.
  17. Soreness in muscles can be a build up of lactic acid.does that article account for that?

    A New Day

Your usual well written work deserves better than a sad emogie but the subject matter gets the angry face. I now understand better your aversion to guns.
  19. Well, we are not a "general audience"!
  20. He will. He is stubborn that way!
  21. I think I REALLY need several days off together. This one day off every two or three weeks is not cutting it!
  22. < said in my most whiney voice> But I don't WANNA go!
  23. Good morning everyone. Welcome to "get back to a normal schedule" day. @Thorn Wilde have you and your docs considered seasonal affective e disorder may be part of your depression issues? Umm, do they think the super markets and fish markets wave their magic knives and the food appears all cut and trimmed and ready to wrap?
  24. This discussion brings to mind the year a friend served a wild turkey her husband had gotten during hunting season. When I asked how it turned out, she announced quite proudly "It tasted just like turkey!". Uh, yeah...
