They tried, but it was repealed as more people were making and selling alcohol than before they outlawed it. More were drinking too. It's like the liquor cabinet at home. Lock it up and the teens will always want in. Don't make it forbidden and teach them moderation and they behave responsibly for the most part.

Can I rant a bit? If you are not up for listening, feel free to skip the rest of this post. So a week ago yesterday I get a call from a lady with an injured alpaca that needed transport to a veterinary clinic. I was already at a riding event with both trailers. I gave the lady with horses in the smaller trailer the bums rush to get her home and go get the alpaca. She volunteered to go with me so I would not have to handle the animal alone. I dont know nothing about tending no alpacas! We get her there quick and safe, no worse for the trailer ride. Saturday I text the lady to ask how the animal is doing. Since she had told me the injury was the result of a coyote attack, I also offered to put her in touch with peeps that could help her with the coyotes. Well she gives me this huge attitude like I was pushing for the business to bring her home. I told her I was just interested in the animals welfare, that if she could find a free ride home so much the better, but if not she knew where to find me. Then the witch proceeds to lecture me on how my suggestion is illegal, as it would mean trapping, and she does not believe in it as well as being illegal, and that the DFG&W ARE THE ONLY ONES ALLOWED TO TRAP First off I took offence that she concluded I would suggest something illegal. Second, the peeps I was referring her to ARE DFG&W! Third, trapping IS legal in NJ when properly licensed, as is hunting coyote. In fact coyote ond coy dog ( cross breeds with feral dogs) have become such a nuisance, all hunters are advised to shoot on sight and report it immediately. They travel in packs and attack domestic animals. It's only a matter of time before a small child becomes a victim when wanting to "pet the puppy" Ok, so I quietly tell her the peeps were fish and game and did not tell her off, just said so sorry I bothered you. Have been seething ever since. The topper? Today she calls for me to go get the damned alpaca! Ok. Rant over. I now return you to your regularly programmed chatting.

We should be safe for a bit. I made hubby go out and tune up the snow blower. Worked with that wicked windstorm they talked about for days ahead of it. Make him check the generator so we didn't need it!

Something I was told regularly when I was in school "C's get degrees". Some students just don't put the effort in to get full marks. If anyone in the class is getting full marks, then it seems like more effort would be advantageous. Now if no one's getting full marks, or only the elite one or two, then maybe the the method should be looked at.

Wasn't a really expensive thing but more than I would usually spend on myself. Hubby actually pestered me into buying this saddle. A friend has one and it has extended her riding time with her bad back tremendously. I figure if I was good for a two hour trail last weekend, this new saddle will give me at least three and I can do some of the longer rides.

I was a baaaaaaaaad girl. I bought myself a Christmas pressie. Hubby said it was OK, it was not something he would have gotten me, and Wings could not afford it at this point so I know I haven't broken Christmas rule #1.

IDK. I miss the days of 15 or more stacked like cord wood in my uncle's 3 bedroom farm house, kids all in sleeping bags on the great room floor, cots set up in the basement reck room and even in the gun room ( basically a oversized closet with poured concrete walls and a door salvaged from a turn of the century bank vault) I dont really know how to cook holiday for two!
