  1. This is true, but if I had written down everything that could change the situation I would still have been writing my post now, and it might just have had more words than the last chapter did! LOL

    Chapter 1

Very Interesting. Able III has a lot of thinking to do. I can see so many different ways you could develop this story, it will be torture between chapters waiting to see which paths you take your characters down. As for controversy, you very clearly warned us all before we even started. If a reader can't handle it, that is on them. Considering how Able III was raised, there can be very little familial association, making the possibility of incest more likely. If one doesn't see father as dad, it can change the whole dynamic. I am looking forward to more!
  3. There are a lot more variables to the Zach/Will relationship than you guys are taking into consideration. Yes, if everything goes as planned for Zach's football career it makes an open relationship with Will impossible if Mark sticks to what has actually happened in the real world concerning gay men in most professional sports. But there are so many other things that could change the entire picture. There is the possibility of Zach having a career ending injury - something every aspiring running back faces. The possibility of him not cutting it academically and losing his position on the team because of it. I knew a very gifted Varsity Baseball pitcher in high school who was also very gifted academically. Graduated early, full ride to his first choice school and a guarantee starter spot on the uni team. His first semester he found himself to no longer be the top of the heap - just one of the crowd. He had a complete breakdown, including hospitalization, and did not return to school to try and start over for several years. The possibility of a change in Zach's priorities. The possibility of being outed by some act independent of his time with Will. One wrong word by one of the people who know Zach's preferences and its over. Hell, one wrong word from one of the girls he dates as cover could end his career aspirations for reasons totally unrelated to being gay. And I am still not sure I trust this Barry person, in spite of what was said in that meeting in Malibu. He seems to me like the type who might try to use the knowledge of Zach's sexuality as leverage. The possibility of Will becoming impatient and moving on to someone he can be open with. ( Who, Will? Impatient?) There is even the possibility that Mark takes poetic licence and has Zach come out and face the consequences, in spite of the fact that this did not actually happen till 2014 in real life. This is fiction after all and Mark can do anything he damn well pleases!
  4. Isn't Broderick's girlfriend in the movie the same one who played Stepahnie in Short Circuit?

    Chapter 20

Oh my lord! Are you sure your two protagonists are not related to me? That was hilarious and I can so see it happening to someone in my family!
  6. WoooHooo! I knew you would put on the purple soon! Congratulations!
  7. May your day be bright and sunny and bring you all the joy you deserve! Happy Birthday!

    Chapter 22

While it is fantastic to see the healing, I can't help but feel SOMETHING is going to hit the air circulation device in the very near future. Thank you Mark. Your posts always make a day a little better!
  9. Oh hell no - the CAP series is NOT allowed to close - Mark is stuck writing us interesting chapters for the rest of his life!
  10. OK, so now we have the stage set for sparks to possibly fly between Cam and Matt, Possible friction with the kid who is running the bar, Brad getting his head on straight ( or trying to) and Will being more reserved in voicing his opinions of others behaviors. In one of the reviews someone expressed surprise that Will didn't go ballistic that Matt wasn't telling Cam about his boyfriends infidelities. But Matt didn't say he was not going to tell Cam, he said he didn't know yet. Will can hardly say Matt is making a wrong decision at this point. With the first anniversary of the tragedy coming up, I can't see it being a happy day for anyone in the family. I recall the reaction of a kindergarden student in my day care group after seeing all the replays during the commemoration. He came running into my room crying "They did it again Miss Kitt, they did it again!" and sobbed into my arms for an hour. Why the school didn't call his mother is beyond me! I can really see the hurt coming back tenfold that day.

    Chapter 21

Another feel good chapter, and wonderfully done. Makes me wonder what the next big loop on the roller coaster that is the Crampton/Schulter's lives will be. There are only two short months left before the first anniversary of the tragedy, and I can't see that day as being happy for any of them. Thank you Mark. It is always a nice way to start my Fridays off, reading another chapter of your wonderful story while enjoying my second cup of coffee.
  12. Happy Birthday Never! Hehehe - I think I got the first one in tho on your skype!
  13. Big surprise - i register Yonkers, Newark, Philly.
  14. I saw this video on the evening news last night, although this view is much better and gives a clearer picture of what happened. Yeah for the cat!
  15. LOL slightly tipsy yes - staggering drunk I never saw the allure in! I was usually the DD.
  16. Is there really such a thing as TOO much fun?
  17. I can't help but wonder if Cam is going to show Matt that the past is never really gone, and sometimes it comes back to haunt you.

    Chapter 20

Oh my Lord! Well so much for the theory of "throw away" characters. We never know when you are going to dust one off to stir things up! Great chapter Mr Arbour. I could add my foot stomping to KevinD's but I doubt it would make one bit of difference! Thank you.
  19. Hi Jebekah. No one here will quibble about a year or two!
  20. Have a wonderful day Thorn!
  21. LOL on drinking LEGALLY Some of us do play by the rules and have never had to hire a lawyer other than to draft my will!
  22. I turned 18 a few months before NJ raised the drinking age to 19. Those of us that became legal before the change were "grandfathered", that is allowed to keep our legal status. That had the effect of about half my peer group being legal, and the other half being envious. Binge drinking among our crowd was more a function of "forbidden fruit" than which side of an age line you landed on. The houses where there was no liquor or it was kept locked up produced the heavy drinking teens. The households where it was just there, wine was offered with dinner when the adults had it, and curiosity was met with information rather than prohibitions had much more restrained teens when it came to drinking. My 18th ( the best I can compare Jeremy, my 21st was sort of just another birthday when it came to alcohol) I went out to my fathers favorite hang out and he bought me my first legal drink. It wasn't all that much of a big deal because I was raised with the open communication group I spoke about earlier. I had 2 or 3 drinks and then went to a movie with my boyfriend. I remember giggling thru the entire thing, even if I cannot remember what movie it was! My best friend on her 18th however got so blitzed it took 3 of us to get her into the car and take her home. I don't think she made it to 18 shots though.
  23. Just being away from restrictive influences contributes too.
  24. As the penalties for serving underage drinkers stiffen, you may never be free of being proofed. I was shopping while camping in a state where beer and hard ciders are available in grocery stores and picked up a pack for around the fire. At 50 I was proofed because it was store policy to check EVERY customers id before selling alcohol. Grey haired me looked at the guy and asked "REALLY!?" I had run in leaving my purse in the car and had to call outside for my husband to bring my ID in. I think the vast majority of kids get wasted first night everywhere they go - college, Italy on exchange, even changing dorms sometimes. I can honestly say I do not think I know a single college age kid who hasn't done that at least once thru their university years. I am sure there may be some around, but I haven't met any.
