Unusual I know but I have to agree with Tim as well - study and living over a club just don't sound mutually beneficial to me. I love when people look at Will and see "kid" then he proceeds to show them just how "not a kid" he can be at times. Do I hear that roller coaster click click clicking up the slope? I enjoyed the chapter thoroughly. Thank you.

I am thinking the smartphone will eventually replace the tablet as tech advances. While TV and Radio seem already obsolete, I have yet to see a replacement for the car radio, so radio has to stay, if for no other reason to get the local traffic reports that explain why I am sitting still on a major highway. The PC will never be replaced unless they can upgrade things to the point of writing code on smaller devices.(Not that I actually understand what "writing code" actually involves, but I don't see it happening on a smartphone in the foreseeable future.)

I think I got my matchings screwed up for this round, but if I get REALLY lucky I might just survive.

Doesn't everyone have one person like grandpa Leroy in their lives? The ones who seem to like the taste of shoe leather? Lovely start.

Can't really blame them - recouping what they lost as a treatment for heart disease and then going on to pad the bank account! Actually few surgeons will recommend double mastectomy as a preventative. Even after a biopsy confirmed a diagnosis of breast cancer my surgeon did what is called a lumpectomy. I knew that there was a possibility I would awake from the anesthetic having had the entire breast removed, but awoke to nothing more than a small incision and a dent. The treatment is to remove the affected tissue, sometimes up to the entire breast, as well as some of the lymph nodes. That is sometimes followed by chemotherapy depending on the pathology results and those of several other types of testing to conclude the probability of recurrence, and is almost always followed by radiation therapy. Breast cancer in men may be very rare, but when it happens it frequently goes misdiagnosed until it is too late. What man does a self exam or goes for regular mammograms?

Shit kickers usually went with western boots where I was hanging in that time frame. Construction boots were called boondockers, or sometimes just "work boots" but Matt is very right - those that called their boots shit kickers got very upset if you called them anything else! -
While now having Robbie's rings may be healing in the long run, I can't help but think this is going to set off one last set of loops on the roller coaster that was Brad/Robbie. I don't see how Brad is going to avoid breaking down once he is alone, especially if he goes back to Jeanine's condo in Tribeca as the family has been doing lately when in NYC. Takes a great author to make a chapter terrifically emotional and yet relatively low drama. My hat's off to you sir! Thank you.

In reference to the suicide of the high school principal after having been one of the rescued, hh5 said There is much more to something like this than social responsibility issues, and you can't guess what survivor guilt will do in every case.

In a review, Columbus guy said: For that matter, we are forgetting that for his future, Wade will need a cover, which is where Tiffany has always fit in--and we have seen them being closer at times. Wade came out very publicly with an interview and national coverage shortly after arriving at Stanford. He has also attended Washington functions with Matt. I doubt the political types will have forgotten, making Tiff a cover wife largely useless.

Reply from Mark Arbour (author) Cody makes a return in a few chapters...but who will he target? Matt or Brad? I cannot help but think, considering Cody's past, that he will spend some "quality" time with each of them, and if he goes out to Boston to see his daughter, perhaps the next three way we hear about will be Wade, Tiff, and Cody. That could have the effect of fathering Tiffs next child and tie all three children together. Reilly and the new baby would share Tiff as bio- mom and new baby and Maddy share Cody as bio-dad.

" I'm sick thinking what could have been, what help I could have given, but all I can do is remember the times we shared and forgive her for not having faith in me or her other friends." It is a sad thing about your friend, but it was probably not that she didn't have faith in you, more that she hadn't forgiven herself for the way she ended things.

Even the quieter less dramatic chapters are quite filled with emotion. It is nice to see the healing finally getting under way rather than the way so many of the guys boxed the emotions and tried to ignore them. Will and Zach have come to an agreement with Barry, not that I trust Barry as yet. Brad and Wade have made decisions to be important to each other but try to not hurt Matt. Matt decided to be an adult and deal if Brad and Wade turn into more. Looks like the family is getting back onto firm emotional ground. Makes me wonder just what is over the horizon for them all. Thank you for a wonderfully written, cathartic chapter.

Zach's goal right now is a spot in the NFL, so of course he has to stay in the closet. But one needs to remember, he is still in high school. There are a multitude of things that can happen to change his future, anything from a career ending injury to some emotional light bulb going off over his head. A family tragedy is what brought him together with Will, some other unexpected occurrence could do anything from make him decide hiding his feelings for Will is over to ending his feelings for the boy. Five years is a very long time to expect things not to change.

First an apology for not reviewing right away. It was a crazy weekend, and writing reviews on the tablet is much harder than it needs to be. Now, the other reviewers haven't left me much to say, so let me say Thank You for the Arbor Day celebration. Any day with a chapter is a little bit better, and I am enjoying the newest entries to the CAP saga immensely.

Got it! Thanks Matt!

What if you get some of the brackets wrong but you do pick some right and ultimately chose the correct champion? The champ pick with the most correct brackets is declared winner? Or do some wrong bracket picks early DQ you?

Hey now - fingers in the ears and "Lalalalala" worked pretty well for my great grandma when my uncle brought his boyfriend to a family gathering in the 60's. As long as he was "Joey's friend" and nothing more was said she was a happy camper.

Reply from Mark Arbour (author) Thanks Kitt! So you're suggesting that if someone is untrustworthy in the beginning of relationship, it is unwise to trust them going forward? Interesting hypothesis. ;-) I think it would certainly be grounds for caution going forward. Reply from Mark Arbour (author) As for the declarations of love...they're young. Young guys say shit like that early. And sometimes they actually think that they mean it. Let's not forget that Brad and Robbie were not too much older than Will and Zach when they met.
