Rick, I do all things like this by text a d save every damn one of them. Maybe if I am lucky he will fire me! I cant quit as that would only hurt the horses, and of course I will not do that.

Morning all. Think I am in hot water at work. After telling them a month ago I would be away for labor day weekend, and reminding them several times, boss comes to me yesterday saying he will be away, take care of these must do errands on Monday. I said no, I dont return till Tuesday. No is not a word I use frequently at work, but this time I stamped my foot. His reply was we will talk about it tomorrow. I said nope, am away a d not coming home early because you forgot. He seemed rather miffed.

So glad I have your permission! I think perhaps I should go ignore the world for a bit before I lose my composure! That is never a pretty sight.

I am no georgeous spring chicken either, and when working I give 110% and then some most days. My point is that today is supposed to be my day off, something that does not actually happen often. Something usually hits the fan and I need to go into work and fix it regularly. My goal today is to NOT work at all, actually have a day for myself. Self care is the first step to being ABLE to be there for others. Ask @mollyhousemouse. If you go too hard for too long without doing for yourself, the well runs dry and you can't do for others anymore. I have been known to literally run till I drop and sleep for two days. Takes weeks to get back to normal after I do that.
