Oh Andy you can't see the forest through the trees can you? If your dad and your totally and completely understanding girlfriend are telling you the same thing you should have enough regard for them to at least consider they might be on to something. Ah but you're 18 and know everything...You've done it again Adam Phillips, another spectacular chapter and again you my gratitude.
Andy is in big-time pre-angst mode. I do not envy him the crisis of identity that is coming his way. Thanks for that last minute sucker punch to the gut .
The revelations in this chapter that Andy is on the verge of discovering ring of honesty. Really good job, especially coupled with Matt's charge to try and make up for his own tragic loss. Thanks as always.
ADD was a less believable surprise considering Andy's previous admission about his academic prowess, not exactly sure what it adds but am more than willing to give the benefit of doubt based on the awesome precedent of quality writing established. Fun chapter about ridiculously important high school dynamics.
Thanks for for another great chapter.
I remember the days were the gap of sixteen compared to fourteen seemed so huge. Andy does seem years beyond his age. Interesting development. Thanks for another good read.
It's the contrast of the beautiful naïveté of youth against a devastating tragedy that makes this chapter so strong. Truly exceptional work, thank you.
Thank you, thank you for a George update. If anyone can bring a man around its Granger . Heartbreaking ending for Robey, but completely class that Caroline showed up to pay her respects on George's behalf. I'm glad that she and Calvert (and Gatling) made amends. Caroline is passionate, but seems to be above the petty grudges that others seem to thrive on.
Stupendilicious chapter, thanks again.
Beautiful story, brilliantly written. Your characters are tragic heroes and Hawai'i is a great setting and tying in the local lore makes it even richer. I LOVE THIS STORY!
Sometimes Lisa's busybody ways pay off. Ben was an interesting character that didn't get to blossom in the larger story so this was a sweet treat to settle him up with someone.
Nice read, thanks.
Using a twist on the concept of a beard as a premise is a clever idea and the characters created are rich and dynamic. This is a really neat story that could have been twice as long and just as good. Thank you dkstories for making it public.
