All your chapters are good, but this chapter is especially impressive. Insight into Brad's poignant fantasy that Robbie somehow lived is just heart breaking and makes Brad a lot more relatable to me. He's never been on the short list of favorites, but this story and this chapter in particular causes me to revisit my previous opinion. Pairing Brad's revelation with Will's perspective works really well and I am hopeful that a lot of the past acrimony between father and son is over and the mutual respect they have recently been showing one another is the model for their future relations/encounters. Thank you for the outstanding work.

I admire Will's willingness to drop everything to help his dad; it's a very redeeming trait in a character that has a lot to offer. Though I feel compelled to write in spite of his physical maturity, I don't see the emotional maturity, he's seems exactly like most 15 year old kids...he knows everything and everyone else around him doesn't get "it".. My worry is that his extreme behavior in declaring his independence is actually preventing him from getting the help he needs because regardless of how much therapy he is in currently is not addressing some underlying shit that is trying to force its way through and everyone is on eggshells around him since he has a history of being so very over-reactionary. Just my current ruminations on Will I may feel differently later, but this has been brewing for awhile. Brad, what are you up to? Stellar work as usual, thanks.

Not that I don't think Will will make a great friend to Zach, but I'm surprised at how quickly the trust happened between the two of them...maybe it's the desperate circumstances that resulted from their shared loss. I do think that Will was out of line with Wally and that kind of disrespectful behavior is way beneath him, mature or not there are certain dues that can only be paid with age. On the flip side though, if he is truly as enlightened as the character track he is on would suggest, then he will likely learn that through some ironic comeuppance.
