    Just not a great night

    So sorry, Luc. Camy

    Busted chapter 19

I'm guessing that when you go back and re-write this will appear sooner in the time line ... or perhaps I'm just impatient to solve the hack 'n' slash ritual murder plot. Another nicely written scene that shows us how caring Joe is.

    Busted chapter 17

My take is that Alex/Chris is a single person with a distinct split personality, and depending on where or who he finds himself with, the personalitty best suited to cope comes to the fore. Wicked chapter, btw! Roll on 18! Camy

    Busted chapter 15

The last two lines gave the game away, though I suppose I should be asking 'which game'. I like the premise behind this way of writing. It's very fresh, very immediate, and you can sort it all out when you've finished. It gives the reader a lot of interest: both in the story itself, and in the way you write. Camy

Yep, that definitely gets the seal of approval! Camy

    Finally! A Fairy Tale!

You lucky, lucky man. My muse won't play 'faery tales'. He says he doesn't want to be responsible - whatever that means. Stupid muse.

    Busted chapter 14

He probably isn't if it was a complete novel, but reading it in its present episodic form, I found myself struggling - but only on those two paragraphs ... other than that I'm loving it! Camy
  10. I'll wish you good luck too, though I don't think you'll need it. You have both the burgeoning talent and tenacity to succeed. Just keep on writing what you write, and saying what you need to say, and don't be seduced by other genres just because you feel it might be 'easier' to get published. Setting yourself a target date is a brave step. 2009 is very, very close, especially if you consider lead times in book publishing. The key to it all is getting a good agent, and staying modest. So ... good luck! Camy

    Busted chapter 14

Linda and Mike seem like definite psychics, and now with the final two paragraphs I'm verging on losing the plot, unless I forgotten something I should have paid attention to. Calmly set around a pool party, this chapter is a mental cliffhanger! Rats: I'm going to have to wait for 15 to (hopefully) get my sanity back. Camy

    Busted, chapter 13

I drink Bud, but then where I live it's definitely not domestic. Good chapter, good new characters - Mike 'the psychic' is a goody. Chris (gotta be him) doesn't seem too happy to see Joe there

    I passed, I passed!

Wow! I don't know what a 2.6 means, but you sound happy ... and that makes me smile. Congratulations! Camy

I sincerely hope you meant to say: 'I am going to finish this, and then do a second draft.' Camy

    Busted, chapter 11

Somehow I don't think it's going to end with Chris being 'happy', just yet. I'm also intrigued to see if the ritual murders were just a side plot... 'Busted' could go in so many different directions! Camy
  17. I've got a *looks in old teapot* few spare bucks, why don't we all chip in and start an airline? Unfortunately the name Virgin has gone, but we could call it GA Air. Snappy name, huh? Honestly, whadda ya think. We could take it in turns being pilot...

    Busted, chapter 10

Wonderful piece of writing, thanks! If it's the end of a sub-plot, you've left a lot of questions which need answering. Most intriguing. Camy

    Advice, please!

I guess the answer to both would be, I don't know. I suppose I was hoping for some sort of miraculous advice, so I don't have to decide for myself. Maybe an angel appearing behind the garden shed with a list of 'life' instructions. Anyway, I really appreciate all the comments. Camy the indecisive

    Advice, please!

I haven't blogged in an age and a half - at least here. That's one of the problems with blogs. They're almost too easy to set up. I'm trying to decide quite how 'out' I want to be. What I mean is that 'Camy' is obviously a pen name/pseudonym - and one I'm very happy with, and proud of. I picked it on the spur of the moment when I signed up at GA, just over a year ago. I'm known as Camy everywhere I go within the confines of 'gay writing'. However Camy is not me. Camy is the me that came out and started writing, the me that likes to think he can't be traced back to the 'real me' ... which, as I've had pointed out, is not hard. However I'm also a musician, and that's where my quandary lies. I'd like to have all my artistic 'things' under one name. I'd like to be able to say "hey, listen to this song the bands just recorded." But at the moment I can't - unless I creep out some more. and that could be painful. So I'd like some advice, if you'd be so kind. Is the fact that I'm Gay Author writing gay fiction a death knell to me performing music in a band? Should I keep the two totally separate, and start worrying about late onset schizophrenia? Or what? Thanks, Camy

Pretty much what Graeme said in his 2nd, 3rd and 4th paragraphs, really. My fault for getting here so late Camy
