Wow! It just shows how long it's been since I've dropped in here. I had no idea there was such a nice review of 'JJ and the Boys' posted.
Many thanks to andy021278 and Trebs, and thanks too to those who've read it. It was the first short story I ever wrote and I'm still proud of it.

I've read Carter's Army several times - it is a truly wonderful coming of age story. Christopher.P.Lydon also writes really good Sci fi, too. The Falcon Banner series is also well worth reading.
Excellent! It's very atypical for you, though, with nary an alien in sight.
You've nailled the dialogue and the comedy was well handled. All in all a real treat.
Yeah, parents have no idea what they do to their kids. I had to bury my middle name at the bottom of the garden.
Here's the post I mentioned
Charlie's a terrific read! I've read it all in a couple of days, except the last chapter for which, apparently, I'm going to have to learn patience. Hmm.
Charlie's wicked!
There I was thinking your parents had a mean streak naming you Hamen, then I got it - though 'Charlie' is far from cheesy. It was recommended on the AwesomeDude forums and I've just read to chapter 13 in one sitting. Boggled eyed, now.
How many chapters are there left to release? I ask because I often froth with impatience waiting for something I enjoy.
Ta!
I like Last Pass because you only have to remember one decent password (for last pass) and it does all the rest. It also has a bulit in password generator, too. Then there's KeePass, which is good and open source, or scribbling them down on a card in your wallet - a habit I'm glad I've now broken.

Lugh! I'm so glad you finally got around to writing the second part of 'It Was A Monday'. You've well described both sets of players in these interconnected tales (I don't think you can read them separately). So, now we have to wait for the conclusion as, frankly, even thinking of ending such an epic with 'Bastard' just doesn't cut the mustard.
Here's a humble suggestion for title: 'Day Of Days.'

I've been told I have a 'voice', whatever that is. All I know is that if I tried to write in a style or voice other than the one I have, it wouldn't work.
Great idea, Lugh!
