    Yeah, the money thing is an issue I never really resolved. I don't want Dylan to be a trust fund baby but they aren't poor. I'm conflicted on how to fix that problem, which I will when I revise it. Wait until you meet Abby! Grrrr!!!

    Nanna is awesome! I'm playing here with the concept of memory. How we remember things can be altered, changed as we imagine it differently. However, I do think a kernel of the event remains lodged there. It creates the tension that can make us do odd things.

    Thanks Valkyrie! It was a hard chapter to write. Cody will not return in this story. Raleigh's history molded him. It made him understand how precious his new friends truly are. Remember Isaac's been carrying him through this. It's not new to him.

    I love the dinner party scene. As I mention, stories accompany dinner. That's why the idea of dinner theaters always delighted me except most have food that isn't exactly gourmet. This is such fun. It's like a blast from the past for me! Thanks Valkyrie for doing this.

    I had the idea of Gift of the Magi in mind but there is no real cost to either of them. Well, except they both worried it would upset the other. You are right, they are both very sensitive.

    Kevin and Button are both early bloomers. That makes them start to think about their feelings more. Camp was a new experience for Button. He is gaining confidence and growing up. Thanks so much for the review Rebel. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

    Thanks Bob!! I'm trying to make the relationships as realistic as possible. I remember the churning popularity and friend trades that happened right around middle school. It's a topsy turvy time for kids.

    Great job with resolving the cliffhanger. Emotional but measured. I liked the pacing and the balancing of the storyline. Your use of Penguin is fantastic, after all it is named after him. I wonder about Trevor and how Daniel got sucked in. That is my only question. I love this story. Very well told! Thank you for telling it.

    Good points! I guess when I'm working on a device and idea story sometimes the back story gets the short end of the stick. I really like Jim and Kevin's characters so i probably should have given them more development. I was giving Si and Wayne equal time though i prolly didnt need to. Things to consider.     I got the deep fat fryer I wanted and my favorite candy from Ran. Falafel, scotch eggs and tempura coming up. People at work had donuts for me. Lots of nice cards. And this surprise...it was wonderful. Thanks! Still got date night on Friday to look forward to.
