Of course I meant ill will! If CJ complains about us being overly politically correct, I'm with him. I tend to pick on backward states who outlaw a woman's right to choose or ban transgered indiviuals from participating in sports, or try to arrest parents for helping their questioning kids, or... Should I keep going? A long time ago, a GA author took a comment I made personally and went on a rant about him not being an idiot even though he lived out in the country. Another one complained about a joke I made about West Virginia, even though I'd had characters rave about how beautiful the state was. As far as I'm concerned, they can go jump off a cliff. FYI Florida and Texas get skewered in an upcoming chapter.

I'm still trying to define they type of art CJ and Owen favor. So far, they're all over the map. Anything I write in the future will probably have some art purchase/conversation. I'm avoiding grand masters with them. Instead, I want either real or fictitious 21st Century artists. I have them chasing one specific painting from someone who died in 2008 in an upcoming book. Eventually I want them to befriend someone like Basquiat.

I suspect he's frustrated right now. He keeps banging against the wall that's CJ without realizing it won't crumble no matter how hard he tries. The inability to adapt has led to extinction before, and I suspect marginalizing Northman is about the same thing.

I'm often jealous of these high school kids (like CJ) who come out and don't give a crap who knows they're gay. But that plays into my stories as I try to show there's acceptance out there.

I've learned my lesson, and I'm trying to minimize using real people while writing in the future. There are some in CDMX, but you may have noticed the majority of characters are my creation.

CJ tells us Owen thinks the interview(s) will be a positive event. They're thinking ahead and the plotting will pick up speed once they leave Mexico and have to reevaluate where their lives are going. Here's a spoiler: At one point Ritch refers to his brother and brolaw as media whores. Politics can be dirty and CJ will need to make decisions that could compromise his integrity. But I think his fairy godparent will help him. Yes, the end of Summer was a clusterfuck. I'd do it again, just better. LOL I was trying to recreate one of those TV shows with fast, frequent scene changes, and I was still scared nobody would read my stuff so I tried to keep people hooked.

Now I'm wondering what photos you're talking about! I discovered him when he was sanctioned for taking a knee in solidarity with Colin Kapernick on the podium. Race looks and acts like a bad boy with a heart of gold, I immediately connected him to Brad. I mean, the man's a jock, a model, an activist, has a black girlfriend from France, smokes cigarettes, and loves to travel. Can you say: That's a Carlos character and belongs in the Squad?

I'm playing it loose with actual posting dates because I rely on others and these days I only post once the story's ready. Keeping to a schedule of getting each story ready is a pain, inspiration doesn't care if the great idea is for a book down the list. But I'm trying.
