    Some readers will revisit older chapters whenever a new one gets posted. If you have 12 chapters, that would mean 12 views for chapter 1, 11 for chapter 2, etc. But MrsG's right, a chunk of it is people who look at the main page and decide the story's not for them. Or read a chapter or two and lose interest. As she said, it balances and if the work's good, your future stories will fare better.

    I obviously didn't follow Albron's drawing exactly, but it definitely inspired the tattoo's coloring. Either a big butt or a magical touch to work that much detail into something a couple of inches long.

    Unfortunately, when Parliament House closed, their website disappeared. It was an old motel in Orlando, a dive with multiple bars. They threw a Mardi Gras party every year and invited our motorcycle club to parade through their parking lot. Trying not to skid on beads was our biggest concern.

    Thanks for the fricking earbug Myr! That damn tune haunted me when I worked as a tour guide while in college. I was on that ride every week for the entire summer. Not my favorite!

    @PBax I am not a techie! Hell, I'm having problems installing a new modem at home. There are cases where GA can not handle formatting set by a word processor. In previous cases, staff has mentioned removing all formatting from the document when you load something in, A BLACK BAR near the screen's bottom will offer the option. If you have italics or other special formatting, you can then add it in using the GA editor. Sorry, not much of an assist, but that's the best I can do. Maybe a staff member will jump in and offer additional help. Best of luck, I know it can be frustrating.

    I was adventurous in those days. Summer ended with 4 cliffhangers. The helicopter crash was at the end of Spring. At least I don't end every chapter with a cliffie They can be fun and seve several purposes but IMO, too many gets obnoxious.

    It's all Wolf. But I'm proud of my pup. He gets better with each story and his eagerness to learn is admirable. I'll admit we have similar sense of humor. Editorial comments are often peppered with raunchy remarks. 😉

    If you edit the story itself, you can change the copyright date. I'd suggest you keep 2015 since that's when it was initially published, and add 2023 after it to cover new chapters.

    I think not knowing what Shannon's issue is qualifies as a cliffhanger. I've driven by Pendleton, but I think I want Brandon as my tour guide next time. Maybe one or two of those Marines he's friendly with are into older, gray-haired men. Wolf, share the link to that video you sent me.

    I'm trying. Although I expected the story not to get as many reads and reactions as my usual stuff, I was pleasantly surprised. I always change my profile banner to whatever story's posting or about to post, and I share images and websites I find interesting while researching/writing. With this one, I have 3 more character inspirations to share, and an image that influenced what happens to Lt. Hoyt.
