  1. See? Readers like you who pay attention to the comments get a heck of a lot more details. But I was wrong in one thing. One of those cousin's, born a month after the twins, was introduced in Cadet.

There aren't a lot of sad episodes in the series, but now and then... My goal's to entertain and leave readers feeling good, so I tend to write upbeat stories.
  3. Thanks, Chris. As I mentioned before, Brion has bit parts in two upcoming stories. I do have a juicy part for him in a planned one, but I'm not sure when I'll get to it. Keep your fingers crossed.
  4. Do I need to suggest you look at my previous reply?
  5. Ignore Chris' reply, he's just trying to rope me into writing more. LOL As far as I'm concerned HTTC is the conclusion of the CJ series. I'm definitely writing some of the stuff before, no plans to write about CJ winning the Nobel Peace Prize and Canada, the US, and Mexico merging. LOL Just for you--and Chris since I know he'll read this--a couple of tidbits Harley resigns after six months unable to deal with the bullshit Jeffer and Roo defer admission to the naval academy and spend a year traveling the world with the two cousins yet to be introduced. CJ makes sure the Secret Service detail provides them with condoms. One of the twins becomes a naval architect and designs super yachts. The other one becomes a naval aviator. Myabe Liebe restores the Rose Garden to the original design by Jackie Kennedy and gets married there.
  6. Site acting up on Android phone and tablet as of this morning. Both with Chrome and fully updated.
  7. Excellent news! I'm thrilled with your promotion, my friend. Well done.
  8. Feb 11 is when I wrote that note. The story was finished, but I kept cleaning things before sharing the chapters. My original had some comment about a belligerent Russia, based on reported troop buildups. Since the invasion took place before that chapter went live, I tinkered with it.
  9. Caleb I'm not sure about. I haven't decided if he'll show up again. He may remain a mystery. Brion does spend a weekend in Washington with CJ and Owen. I doubt I'll bother writing that. However, Brion does appear in two stories already written. There's another one I'm not sure I'll write, but if I do, Brion will have a substantial part in it.

Get your mind out of the gutter! LOL Anyway, it's already out. Wheels went live last Friday.

Western culture is not accepting of incest at all. Well, unless you're European royalty. They were all inbred in the early part of the 20th century. My paternal grandfather was the product of two cousins, but that was at the end of the 19th Century in Turkey.

I keep reminding readers I never abandon story threads, but details sometime must wait for the right time before they're revealed. Gio Benitez and his husband have the type of look I see many of the people surrounding CJ having. Young and active.
  13. The old CJ would have! But I'm trying to show him maturing and thinking before acting. Most of the time.
  14. @Clancy59 I'll send you a PM. In the meantime, consider reading the first scene of As Time Goes By chapter 5.
  15. @frosenblum I'm one of those who didn't enjoy LotR. Neither the books or the movies (except for the pretty landscapes.) As in that book, and Jordan's Wheel of Time, my initial stories had multiple points of view and plenty of side stories. At some point I decided telling CJ's story should always be from his POV and shifted the side stories to spin-offs and spin-ins. As for the homophobe you mention, the two books about Ender I enjoyed.
  16. If I get to write everything I've thought off, it could be 100. But that's in the CJverse. We'll see.
  17. Unfortunately, the fringes of every political or religious groups are the vociferous ones we hear most of the time. The moderate center gets drowned out, but someone loud enough (CJ!) could make himself be heard.
  18. Joder! Pero tu tambien?
  19. I'm not sure either. Depending on how many of the outlined stories I have for the summer of 2022 get written, we'll catch glimpses of CJ's political outlook. I'd say he's a mixture of Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, and Green. He can't be the only one in the country like that, but he'll be the one with the resources, contacts, and willpower to make changes.
  20. I understand because I've been in similar situations. Because Brion and his wheels are mentioned in two upcoming stories set in the future, I wanted to introduce him. His appearance would have created questions. Hell I'm in the same boat with another story I won't finish in time. Skipping his recovery period was done on purpose. I wanted to highlight the positive and show someone, like Brad, overcoming physical adversity. Thanks for reading, Dave.
  21. I'm now guessing by picture you did not mean a photograph....
  22. I have lots of travelogues spread throughout the CJ series.
  23. LOL At least you know the next one comes in a couple of weeks.
