WOW!!!!! It looks like Sam is the early genius after night one . The underdogs or lower ranked teams won playing away games except for Phoenix who did beat Detroit. Chalk one game up for Colorado, Phoenix, Ottawa and Philadelphia. Might be an interesting first round

Circumnavigation, Chapter 21, Interview
wildone replied to TalonRider's topic in C James Fan Club's Topics
Great chapter CJ and thanks to both you and your team and to Shadowgod for posting . I'm beginning to feel that Bridget was the seller of the Ares to Rachael, maybe that is why she had the paperwork so handy. I also think that her husband was on the Ares as one of the lawyers, but she wasn't. The theory of Bridget being the Scar of Circumnavigation is holding some water. I am now beginning to believe Bridget has a lot to do with Rachael's death and the disappearance of Ares. Just how, I'm not sure. One comment though about Joel and Trevor....how much can those two boys eat??? They basically bought two Zodiacs full of groceries in Gibraltar, and now they are shopping again in Capri? If CJ keeps them up with the current amount of food they are eating, my picture of two, hot young studs filling out their speedos in all the right places may soon be replaced with two over weight guys that are so big that their board shorts actually look like speedos on them. Please CJ, stop their eating I also agree with Mike, the quote seems to be leading up to a dizzying cliffhanger around the corner. With Shadowgod posting, I would figure CJ has something up his sleeve. Legal question...How can a DA get an arrest warrant for Dirk without having a Grand Jury indict him, or even anything criminal being done as of yet? Or, has Dirk done something that we don't know yet? I have to stop thinking about this, I am getting more and more questions and they all seem to lead to a dead end -
Thanks Tarin, TjAjCj, RedA and Sam . Remember if you see something that makes you want to change your vote before Saturday night, you can If I may make a suggestion, any who haven't entered and want to, maybe do so early and change if you want. I'd hate to see you miss out because you realize Sunday, or the internets go down

Hi All, So seems there is enough interest in the playoff pool, so here we go. First a few basic rules: There will be one winner at the end of the 2010 Stanley Cup Hockey Playoffs. The winner is entitled to a six month Premium GA membership, paid by me . If the winner is already a Paid Member, they can extend their membership, or in the case of a Hosted Author, Moderator/Administrator, or even a member who isn't interested in the membership, they can donate the monies to the operation of GA on their behalf. This is for fun. Their is no entry fee, thus taking away the gambling. If you're a member here at GA, you are eligble to enter. I'm sure there is ways to get around the rules, but hey, lets just concentrate on the fun. The winner will be the person with the most points out of a possible 65. Each series winner is worth 5 points. In case of a tie, there will be a unbiased draw from the possible winners to decide the final winner. Each round is a best of seven game series. I don't need to know how many games the series will be won in as this will make things complicated. Round one series are: Western Conference ..............................................................Eastern Conference 1 #1 San Jose Sharks vs. #8 Colarado Avalanche #1 Washington Capitals vs. #8 Montreal Canadiens #2 Chicago Blackhawks vs. #7 Nashville Predators #2 New Jersey Devils vs. #7 Philadelphia Flyers #3 Vancouver Canucks vs. #6 Los Angeles Kings #3 Buffalo Sabres vs. #6 Boston Bruins #4 Phoenix Coyotes vs. #5 Detroit Red Wings #4 Pittsburgh Penguins vs. #5 Ottawa Senators So I just need to know the round and the winners. So an example entry would be: Round 1: West: San Jose, Chicago, Vancouver and Phoenix East: Washington, New Jersey, Buffalo, and Pittsburgh Remember the next round will put the highest finishing team against the lowest team Round 2: West: San Jose and Chicago East: Washington and New Jersey Round 3. West: San Jose East: Washington Stanley Cup Champions: Washington Capitals That's it Now each series of the round one will have two games done by 11:59 pm on Saturday April 17, 2009. That will be the cut off for entries. This means you get to cheat. If you were to pick a team today, and they go down two games right away, you could edit your entry before Sat. night. At that time I will print the entries and they will be final. So pop into here and brag, cry, boast, rib, or do whatever you want through out the playoffs. I will try to update scores after each round. Lets see how many people we can get to enter this year. Have Fun!!! Steve

Well James, I don't know how long that will last. You are much too much of a passionate and committed person to just say f it and move on. If anything, this thread has maybe been an eye opening experience. You took one approach and found out you called a generation up in arms maybe not for your cause, but a cause in general. Not saying that you will get everyone to be unified on marching the direction you want everyone to go, but maybe to use the passion and intelligence of the 'younger' crowd to move forward on a cause. Every stage of life has a different objective, teens looking to becoming adults, young adults looking to settling down, middle agers to retirement, retirees to ? Hope to see you around soon

Well it seems like there might be some interest this year . Tomorrow, Sunday the Th, is the final day of the regular season and the Eastern conference will have been decided. So I will set something up that will just have the Round One matches and what place each team finished up in. So if your a by the books person and see the ST place team playing the Th place team, you can choose the ST place team. There is really not much skill involved in this, as I don't want to make it too serious or hard. I want people like Nephy and Krista to enter and have some fun seeing how they do and also if they can outscore Mark (The only skill might be if you know things like Vancouver, San Jose and Ottawa are perpetual chokers when it comes to the playoffs ) . So check here tomorrow night or on Monday, and I'll probably give to the end of the second games of the first round (each series is a best of seven games series) to cut off the entries. Remember the more that enters, the more fun it will be .

Who is this C James guy that you all are talking about? I've never heard of him I remember back when a goat told me that 3 For Jake was going to be made into a story and I said to myself, "Self, it will be a short story with the main character dead". I really enjoyed the first two chapters, but wondering what kind of story this will be since MikeL alluded to it? Based on those two chapters I think I will have to wait and see. There is a few characters I guess I have taken an instant disliking to right off the bat, Jake's Dad, Brett, and maybe even the nurse and doctor in the hospital I'm sure in classic CJ ways though, I will be 100% totally wrong and appear to have my head up my arse as usual. Looking forward to more Steve

I've had liver 3 times that I can remember. The last time was in a hospital and it was horrible . I probably would try it again, if someone I knew knew how to cook it right It's funny how we judge certain parts of the animal okay to eat and others not. I recently tried chicken hearts and now would be willing to try other species too

Thanks Mr. Beast

I'm guessing that you mean Love In A Chair by Altimexis. He is a hosted author right here at GA. If this isn't the story, let me know Steve

Note to Self: Notify the FAA that there will be a goat trying to board a commercial aircraft tomorrow out of Arizona . -
Yikes Mark I'd maybe wait till the end of the season and we know what places the team are in. That was last year's picks by Mark that you used . The Blues are not even in it this year and the Flyers might not make it either. Wait till the end of the week. But good to see you are going to enter

Yes, anyone who is a member of GA is eligible

Hey all, Thought I would start a thread to see if there is any interest in having a hockey playoff pool for this years Stanley Cup Playoffs. I ran the same contest last year, if you want to see what rules we had, it would be much the same as this one . Why I want to gauge the interest is that last year we only had two entries. Yes, it is true that Mark Arbour was beaten out by a girl , but she was Canadian so that was against him to start off with. I would probably offer up the same prize, a six month Premium Membership to GA or a donation to GA in lieu of the membership made in the winners name. Let me know if you're interested, and then I'll let you know. Thanks, Steve

Benji, I know you don't think this will happen, but................ Are you forgetting that the scene in LiS by Shadowgod with Matt, Jacob and Lisa was sooooooooooo hot . And, Shadowgod is in possesion of the next few chapters. So who knows, maybe he might alter the goats writing just a bit and have a scene with Trevor, Joel and Lisa Let's hope -
Happy Birthday Sky I hope you have a great day and many more throught the next year

Thank you for the chapter, and the one last week too I think I will wait until you leave on your trip before I reveal all the solutions to the story that I think I have worked out so far . Speaking of which, is anyone else a little disturbed about even the idea of a 'cruising' goat? Gives me the shivers. So I love that Joel can still get Trevor's goat so easy. The only thing is that Joel seems to be escalating every chapter more and more, eventually he is going to find out the size of Trevor's morning wood up close and personal . Too bad Joel didn't take a good look and gave us a description other than the magnifying glass comment. Oh wait...this isn't Nifty . I do think something is up in the sense that Officer Gonzales said that the two cases are connected. Just what two cases and what does the bill of sale have to do with anything? I think I will have to re read the chapter and see if I missed anything this time around. Steve BTW, is it wise to trust Shadowgod to post while your away. I'd be more than willing to hold the next 3 or 4 chapters for you and post them on the tuesday(s) -
NO fair How come you get to go with Joel and Trevor???

Well I'm sure CJ had to learn other languages. After all he has probably scared away all the other male goats, and there must me 10:1 ratio of Rams to Billys in the world

Ah Robbie, I see you located a picture of the elusive but dangerous seafaring goats of the Atlantic . I remember growing up and hearing tales of these creatures. I even believe I read a story once of one who went from Australia, to Italy, to Houston in less than a year . I can't seem to recall where I read it, but I do remember the goat went onto many evil and death defying adventures. I think the goat is actually the antagonist of this story and will soon be making a cameo appearance much like another evil minded story spinner, Alfred Hitchcock . Beware all
