  1. Thanks CJ for the chapter . Okay, I think 3 words will sum up what I have to say: Girls are bad Now my explanation. Lisa...Joel and Trevor need to stop talking to her. It appears she is the leak and the one jumping to half cocked conclusions and scaring the guys and her dad and Dirk. She seems to think with her mouth and not her head. It is her mouth that is causing all the trouble it seems. Bridget...That entire chapter I pictured Bridget in a skanky dress and hypnotizing Lisa with her glowing eyes and speaking with a forked tongue, literally. I'm sure CJ is trying to get us to look at Bridget as a bad person, but I am thinking she really is. If I was to guess, I think her and the beloved Arnold were the divorcing couple, Arnold screwed her in the divorce over the boat. Then Arnold remarried or was dating when him, his gf/new wife, and another couple chartered out the Ares before the fateful night. Then Bridget arranged for Arnold's death, Rachael's death (cause she bought the boat in cahoots with Arnold) and steered the police in the direction she wanted. With Trevor coming on scene, it gave her all the tools needed to alter the story more to implicate Dirk and eliminate the other person who may know the truth. What if Dirk knows, and is under threat of his life from Bridget to keep his mouth shut. Like maybe even blackmail? Well like I said........Girls are bad
  2. K, I will admit something..... I was sooooo happy last night when Chicago kicked Vancouver's arses around the ice. Even though I was a Luongo fan at the Olympics, I really hate the whiney snivily guy. Boo hoo, he deserves as much as he gets Oops, did I say that in my outside voice Glad to see Montreal is still in it. I so want to see a Boston Montreal Eastern final. Yes, I agree, Detroit needed to do something, I was pretty disappointed with them so far. Things are getting interesting
  3. Good and Bad memories I went to visit a friend in Dallas that lived a half block off of Cedar Springs behind the grocery store that is in the heart of the gay strip. So after two and a half days of driving I arrive to find that it is Gay Pride and the parade is going down Cedar Springs. After negotiating several road blocks I make it to his apartment only to find someone parked across the entrance to his parking garage. I call him on his cell and he tells me to double park and walk over to the corner where he'll be waiting for me. Unfortunately got there toward the end but it was the same experiences a lot of you had. Felt really neat to be in situation where you weren't the minority and not afraid of being 'gay' if you wanted to be. Twenty minutes later we decided to head back to move my truck to find it was towed. So a couple of hours later waiting for the tow truck to show up to the impound lot and $250 later, got my truck back. Went back to his place and safely parked my truck and then we went an enjoyed the bars till the wee hours of the morning.
  4. Hmmm, I think if we really analyze it, he admits to climbing cliffs or looking over cliffs, so all of our speculation has proven true . Now as far as the island, it is just another one of his obvious distractions (a) BTW, got a picture from your trip a couple of years ago through Glacier....
  5. Wow, what a game . Montreal did a great job holding off the Caps in the third period to get the win. So the overall #1 team in the regular season bows out in the first round. It looks like everyone guessed the western conference pretty good, it was the east that was suprising. Although with the underdogs winning in the East, it kept Sam in the running. So here is the scores after round one: Tarin - 25 points Tjajcj - 25 points Red_A - 20 points Bugeye - 20 points BlueSoxSWJ - 20 points Nightsky - 30 points Mark Arbour - 25 points Tet Refine - 30 points NateB - 15 points Nobody is eliminated at this point, so cheer for your teams, you never know what will happen in the end . Oh, and I kind of forgot to mention in the rules, that the highest scores of the first round (Nightsky and Tet Refine) have to buy everyone else a round of beers Okay, now time to start bragging or taunting, your choice
  6. Oooops, my bad . I guess I should have looked closer Well the good news is that your Red Wings put an end to a remarkable season of the Coyotes. Mark, I will total up the scores after tonights game.
  7. Heard the publisher of Archie Comic's on the radio the other day discussing it. Another possibility that was mentioned by the shows host to make things interesting would have been Midge being lesbian and Moose finding out . The publisher did say they chose a new character rather than any existing characters because they didn't want to possibly upset any readers that were fans of the existing characters. Makes sense. They also believe that it was time that they reflected the realities of the modern society makeup. I find that interesting since the comic still lacks (has minimal) visible minorities and such. But then again, it is a comic book
  8. Wow. The first round has definitely been surprising to me . Teams winning that I didn't think would, and underdogs still dogging, actually a great first round for hockey. Then today Montreal spanks Washington for their second win in a row. I had them in the grave a couple of nights ago. Phoenix doesn't want to die this year and is doing great against the guys from Hockey Town USA. Too bad LA didn't make it any further in the playoffs, but Vancouver was the better team. Will Chicago finally shake those pesky Predators loose? They will be trying with Hossa, what do you think of that check and the lack of suspension? I was suprised they can suspend Ovechkin, but not Hossa, a black eye on the NHL IMHO. To tell the truth, I'm pulling for the B's to take out Buffalo at home. It has been way too long since they had a team to go all the way. San Jose needed to rally after going down 2-1 where all 3 winning goals were scored by San Jose, how does that happen? The biggest suprise so far for me was the upset of the Devil by the Flyers. I would have never predicted that one. Lastly, Ottawa did their usual early exit, no suprise to me. Any comments?
  9. I had Motorola STAR Tacs for my first two, and followed them up with a HTC 4000. I really did not like that phone, and obviously the carriers didn't as well, they all dropped servicing them about six months after I got it. I recently got a iPhone from Telus. I love everything about it, and I probably haven't discovered half of it yet. The only downside of it with either Telus or Bell is that it goes dead in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. I would normally say why do I want to go to MB or SK, but that might offend a couple of other members
  10. Squished Baby Kittens ??? I'll come back and comment after I wash that image out of my mind
  11. Happy Birthday hh5 Here's hoping that you have a super Birthday
  12. Happy Birthday Yanger Enjoy the day that you are legal to drink and gamble in all 51 States (Yes I know there is only 49 States )
  13. Prom is more of a regional term I've found Mark. I've heard social used as well. There was actually a landmark case up here where a gay student took on an Ontario Catholic School Board and the Catholic church and won the right to take his boyfriend to his prom. The Marc Hall story tells about it in the movie Prom Queen. I guess the difference up here is that the government dishes out all the tax money for school boards, so if they want government money, they cannot discriminate based on sexuality.
  14. Great chapter, thanks CJ . Thanks to Shadowgod for posting too . I wonder though, did Steve get nervous posting this chapter due to the cliffhanger? I noticed this warning on the Chapter Announcement: Speaking of which, I hear by declare the first major cliffhanger of Circumnavigation. We just need the Amphibious Certification of Cliffhanger riddled Chapter A few things of interest. First being the mystery boat leaving Bridget's dock. So we know that she rents it out, but do we know if Robbie had it rented around the time of Rachael's death? The mystery email is puzzling too. Who did it come from? Maybe Lisa's Dad? Maybe Bridget? Maybe ???? So Officer Gonzales is now going to look into Jim's where abouts. I wonder what he will do when he finds out he traveled alone to Italy and has rented a speedboat. Speaking of that, I wonder what the scratch on the bow of the rented boat has to do with things. It seems unlikely for CJ to just put that in for filler. I wonder, are picture text messages the same as regular ones? Like can the phone company pass them on to Dirk and Jim as well? Lots more questions, hopefully Jim boarding Atlantis will answer a lot of them. I think Jim is really there with good intentions.
  15. Happy 18th Birthday Eros Hope you have a super day
  16. I'd say blame Shadowgod but that would be totally wrong. We need to plan a goat roast for CJ leaving in the first place
  17. Um... I do believe he isn't off to the Arctic, but actually retracing part of the route of Trevor and Joel I was thinking that maybe he somehow has taken control of the boat and directed it toward Australia via the Med and Suez Canal. Was this senior's home anywhere near Tooboroc, as we all know that is where CJ was born ? That might explain why he has returned to
  18. Well he is away on a trip, so you never really know
  19. Happy Birthday Kurt!!! Hope you have a super day
  20. This is great , Nine people are playing this year. Although we don't have a female entry (cough, cough, Krista )or a European entry, it should be a good playoffs. I will try to update at the end of each round the totals for everyone, as well as potential high score for each. Best of Luck!!!
  21. Happy Birthday Chris!!! Hope it is a sweeeet sixteen
  22. Another interesting evening of hockey. I was really suprised at the Chicago/Nashville tilt. Remember, one more day to get your final enteries in. I'm hoping we see Mark's predictions here soon as well as the other half of the Bostonian couples entry as well.
  23. Happy Birthday Gabe!! I hope you had a great one
  24. I guess the last five years, sports have been limited to Hockey, Golf, and some water skiing. Although I have taken a year off I hope to continue with these three again. Younger I also participated in competitive Soccer, Football, Swimming, some Tennis and Wrestling. Currently I am trying to get back into shape by hitting the gym up to five days a week.
  25. Funny, I believe that even less now, than when he uses it himself
