Thanks CJ , What a fitting end to the story (or is it really the end ?) The epilogue ties up the majority of the 25 cliffhangers that I inquired about, but I'll let the unanswered ones slide . I'll admit, when I read the scene with Jon and Eric and the description of where they were with Helen, I immediately felt they were in a hospital and let out a cheer. That was why I was so surprised that the forum started out with everyone commenting on Helen's death. As far as misdirection, I guess you kind of did that with the scene, maybe some of us are onto your ways . As far as Helen not surviving the gunshot, I know that the loss of blood is not the most serious of serious injuries. It is very dangerous, but Helen did not suffer from rupture of a major artery, a bullet through the heart or head, and had someone who knew how to properly treat shock. I do have to say that was great misdirection about the 'former' army medic/biker saying she was a goner. Possibly back in the late sixties and early seventies she would have definitely not made it but luckily with modern medicine and more of a don't give up attitude, many people survive things today that they didn't in the past. I'll comment more on the story later, but just wanted to say it has been a pleasure trying to guess where you were going with this story from the day you posted chapter one. I made many guesses, most of them wrong, but you definitely gave us a story that was well planned, well written, and well done. Take a bow CJ (or do goats curtsy ) Steve

Well CJ has posted the final chapter of LTMP and in his regal way has left one major cliffhanger for all of us to debate. I am currently on a PDA and unable to get a poll going. Could one of you possibly start a sinple yes or no poll so we can see if we need to add Emperor of Evil Misdirection For Life to his list of titles? I would imagine that it will be a close one. CJ, I know you have a couple of days to release the final chapter and a few more days to release the epilogue. So, in the spirit that you showed with the "Great lemonade cliffhanger", I was hoping you could clear up some of these cliffhangers you have left us with: What happened to the paparazzi who got hit with the fire hose on the roof of the hotel? What happened to the paparazzi who was caught filing false stories about red rock canyon? What happened to the paparazzi that you mentioned snapped some pictures of Instinct getting off the air force plane in Telluride? What happened to Charity? Does she always remain quiet? What about the bartender in Whitsunday Islands that squealed on the boys? What about the paparazzi in the boat without a prop in the ocean, do they die of dehydration? What about Graeme? Did he suffer any consequences from the fallout from Toowoomba? Will my hero, Gunter, get a proper and final funeral? What will the Air Force do to reward Instinct for their contribution in saving the nation? Will George Bush bestow them with honours? What was the significance of the Tiger's Eye necklace that Brandon gave Chase for his birthday? Will Jerry/The Scar ever toss a coin in the fountain in Rome again? What about Zeke? If Steve and Wilde hook up, will Zeke be the lone single guy kind of like Jon and Eric? Speaking of Jon and Eric, will they ever settle down? Will Helen be ever be able to get pregnant? Is Dimitri actually dead? What happened to Mario's body? Will the road boss ever be found, and will he get a proper burial? What about the bikers who initially fell when the grenade went off and the others couldn't see them in the dust? Were any hurt, will Instinct have a large bill from West Coast Choppers? What will happen with Joe? Will he ever learn that his dad killed his mom, and thus realize his hate for homosexuals has been all unfounded? Will the general get a promotion for saving the country from two nuclear disasters? Will Eric get to taste the sweet nectar of tequila again? Will Cody make another appearance? Did Cody ever get his cheque? Will Joe invite the guys up to Idaho? Maybe to Telluride, Idaho perhaps . Will Joe continue his rehab? This is just the first 25 cliffhangers that came to mind . Hey CJ, Great chapter and a big thank you . A couple of concerns, note that CJ was very deliberate in not referring to anyone confirming Dimitri's death ? Even when the general asked about his condition, everyone just assumed he was dead. Who knows, maybe he is just faking it . Then again, I still don't really believe that Gunter is dead . Or, an alternative, instead of South America, he returns to the US disguised as a goat and does much the same thing from Arizona Okay, my predictions: 1) Brandon and Chase don't get outed. Actually with the help of Jim, Brody and the other bikers their private life remains their private life. 2) Brandon never sees his family again, or hears from them. Once again, but mostly due to Jim's persuasive personality. 3) Joe will be hired on as the new road boss for Instinct, and will inherit Dear Ol Dad's legitimate shipping business. 4) Barbara will do just fine, as she will only need to take care of things until Helen is released from the hospital. She will be in constant contact by cell, WIFI, and teleconference in everything that happens until she is well enough to get back to her "boys" 5) The General's hair will fall out do to the low levels of radiation that he exposed himself to in LA. He just had to see the bomb himself, didn't he? 6) As stated above, he will disguise himself as a goat and write his "should have, could have, would have" serials of novels on the net. So your day would be made with Dimitri dead, even if Brandon was dead too? Back to the sacrifice thing..... Brandon has always felt that he wasn't good enough for Chase. You think about all the scenes where he was willing to sacrifice himself without giving thought of his relationship as he has always felt that he had nothing really to contribute, unlike what he felt Chase could. Were these clues to prepare us for Brandon's death in the story? I would say that if he is dead, CJ could tell us that he foreshadowed it by Brandon's actions up to this point. The goat is evil that way

"For Life"....that is what has me debating how to vote Just what is the average life of a goat anyways? I thought I would suggest it due to the fact that CJ is pretty worried and I would say upset that Shadowgod may be trying to steal his title before voting for the tiltle commences in 2009. Maybe by giving him this title, he could be the Emperor, and we could have yearly Kings and Queens. I'm sure this will ease the heavy burden on CJ's mind

Hopefully I didn't offend :wacko: Upon closer inspection I guess I did not mention Benji....sorry. I guess that you definitely are an all around nice guy who hangs around cliffs, that you do do . As I think back about the whole programming of the phones, it started with Vlad reprogramming the phones so he would hold the key as collateral over Dimitri and J/S. Then Dimitri reprogrammed the phones without Vlad knowing. Next we find out that J/S then reprogrammed Dimitri's phone so he couldn't blow up New York. It seems like out of the three of them, none of them trusted the other. Who's to say that Dimitri didn't along the way reprogramme J/S's phone to not work on New York or LA too? It just seems like surprise after suprise. Now onto a technical aspect of Brandon and Dimitri falling. Depending on how far they are falling, there is little to no hope for any kind of survival, even if one lands on the other. Unfortunately knowing of a jumper who jumped from the 42nd floor of a building, he landed on his back and the pressure of the impact basically disemboweled him all over the concrete. That much mass hitting a solid object cannot stay intact, or sink in, so it basically spreads out. I guess the only possible hope is if Dimitri and Brandon do hit the ground at the same time, that Dimitri has thick enough skin for a fraction or two to soften the force of Brandon's impact. I'm sure somehow CJ has done his research on this, and has found a plausible out, but I have my doubts. Question is, if Brandon is out of the scene, does the band continue with a sober, grown up and mature Joe? I don't like the idea of Steve being dead either, as I personally have a feeling Wilde won't survive long without Steve. There is too much of a past between the two, and now that they have found each others I don't know if Zeke can even help. Steve

Wow, how many cliffs can be in one chapter? Great chapter Cj, and thanks first of all. So will Brandon survive the fall with Dimitri being the cushion that he lands on? And what about Steve, he fell over a cliff too . Not only do we find out that Dimitri is a little crazy, but it appears that he gets woodies from the excitement of killing. What kind of psycho is he? I'm really glad that some of us guessed way back when Vladimir was still around that J/S would be selfish enough to change the codes in Dimitri's detonator, much the same way that Dimitri changed Vlads. Let's hope the call doesn't go through to LA. If ever there was a time for Jan to make a guest appearance and swoop in and save Brandon, now would be it. Lastly, I'm still worried about no reference to J/S's activities in Paraguay (or where ever he is). This is the second chapter in a row.

Benji, I really like your idea . As Wilde is scaling down the cliff, he notices a ventilation shaft. When he returns to the top to report that nobody is in the SUV, Brandon gets the phone call from Dimitri on Chase's phone. After finding out they are in the mine shaft just ahead, he informs the bikers and The Shadow's. Wilde recalls the shaft, and they are able to sneak up behind Dimitri while Brandon distracts him. It was mentioned that Brody intensely studied the topo maps of the entire area, I'm curious if the maps would have showed the abandoned mine and any connecting shafts. If this is what happens, I would guess that Eric would insist on going up the shaft and end up taking out Dimitri to rescue his brother. This would give CJ a reprieve from SPiCE for at least a week . Also, does anyone remember if The Shadows had any spelunking experience mentioned before?

Well it looks like The Scar's plan to put Paraguay in upheaval is well on it's way. Just read this news story out of Asuncion from Friday. It looks like there is more people wanting less technical data from CJ, and more loving . How timely
