But he is decked out head to toe in riding leathers and a helmet according to yourself. Don't think any mosquito, no matter how big can penetrate that

Um.... I could fed-ex a case of tequila if that would help .

Tank thing???? Come on now Steve, if you don't explain that one, then you will be responsible for an evil cliffhanger post

Great Blog Topic I believe the technical, scientific definition for the problem is stage fright Chalk me up as being one of those that have the same problem. Nothing worse than walking up, getting all set up, and then nothing..... I'll have to try the banana thoughts though. The only time that it doesn't seem to be a problem is after consuming lots and lots and lots of alcohol As far as the papertowel on the door, I'm really getting upset with the amount of public washrooms that are taking out the paper towel dispenser and putting in the air dryer for your hands instead. I actually won't use those washrooms. Also, if you do have a paper towel dispenser, put a garbage can by the door.

I'm not getting better...just older
wildone commented on AFriendlyFace's blog entry in Chronicles of My Life
Kevin, Great Post. You expressed how I feel myself every time a birthday approaches. I would imagine that half of the people here feel the same, but some hide behind the false exterior of looking like they are happy or are just openly hostile. You expressed how you feel, and now we all know. You also mentioned that you'll get over it, like you do every other year. All I can say is that makes you sound perfectly normal. Steve -
Hmmm, I seem to remember a lot of attention was thrown CJ's way last year when he disappeared for vacation . Joe has been suspiciously quiet, makes me wonder if he is just waiting. CJ, I wouldn't be scared of Shadowgod's cliffhangers as much as what Joe is planning on doing to you when your away and vulnerable . Be afraid.

Funny how you always redirect everything back to poor Steve You are correct, grizzlies are nastier characters than black bears, but I don't think I want to go up against either one. Grizzly/human encounters are much more rare, probably due to a smaller population and like you said, they generally don't like encountering humans. Unless you get between Mom and her cubs, you should be fine . Also, Grizzly diet consists of mainly berries, I don't believe goat is a staple in their diet. If your lucky, while going through BC, you may get to see a Spirit Bear on your travels, though most likely not. Hmmm, Black bears, Grizzly Bears, Kodiak Bears, Spirit Bears and possibly Polar Bears. Maybe you should be concerned . Steve P.S. If your entering Canada, leave your gun at home. They aren't too happy to see them come across the border without the proper permits and licenses.

Just what kind of bears are you all talking about Have a great trip CJ, take lots of pictures, maybe have a visit with your mountain buddies up on their cliffs, and be safe. Steve

I was waiting for your comment Conner Maybe as Chairman of the Goat Sub Committee, you can wrangle an invite out of CJ for the wedding and pre wedding festivities.

I agree with Trebs 100%. Hopefully you do know that when your not looking, it will happen. Try not to get your mind wrapped around what you missed and just go out and enjoy the day and you'll be amazed what will come your way. And I think we all over analyze ourselves whenever we have one of those 'decade' birthdays. There will always be things that we wanted to do, thought we should have done, or felt that we missed out on. It is normal. BTW, thanks for a informative blog too. I now know what 420 means And you were talking about your heart.....................................right

Happy Birthday Bondwriter!! I have a few presents for you, so if you could just give me your address I'll send them on their way Steve

When I saw the planned trip, I thought 'Geez, that isn't very far'. Then I realized that he is a goat afterall, and who has ever heard of a goat driving, so it must be a five week walking journey. Wonder if he has saddlebags to carry his laptop on him . Steve

CJ, a few posts ago you mentioned that all the guys had grown and you considered that Helen as the mother figure could have moved aside. I know your the author, but I have to disagree with on that point. I'll concede that Brandon and Chase have grown and matured, but they had a relationship between themselves where I believe they helped each others grow. Jon, however, still feels like a minor character. He still seems like the brother that is in the background through out the story. Now, fuly aware of that SPICE is monitoring these pages , can anyone say that Eric has grown? Can anyone say he has matured? Maybe this is a side effect of Eric moving into more of the lead character role, but he seems to appear to be just as immature, and thrill of the moment seeking that he has always been.. Otherwise, the reason the band still needs Helen to have some control over Eric. I don't want to say that Eric is 'bad', but I really don't think you can put the words Eric and Mature in the same sentence by his actions up to this point. Yes, he does have a serious side. Things like how he figured out and helped Wilde with his scars. How he is helping with the planning of the wedding, but I have a feeling that their is a little devil in whatever Eric does. Does this make any sense? Or have I just put myself on the menu as the appetizer before yourself as the main course . Just my thoughts. Steve

Thanks CJ . I picked up on the Shady reference as to the Shadowy one . Now I guess in your strange and weird logic since Eric saw the Shady one on the motorbike, it is all Steve's fault that Eric decided to buy a Yamaha motorbike to evade the paparazi. The info on the satallite was scary as hell. I'm sure those satellites exist and the fact that they can zoom in on anything on earth from so far away makes you wonder if any of us are safe. Kind of like "Enemy Of The State". I'm not sure if you mentioned before the timeline of the story, but I found this interesting (and it will point out one small typo ):

Ah yes, back in the late 70's when Disco was huge, CJ did everything just to fit in Keep them coming Jack, they're hilarious. Steve

Steve, I fully agree with you and I can tell you that I was fully aware that I was actually giving PETA what they wanted by starting this thread, and even going so far as posting their ad. I was just so mad at what they were doing. I know that the majority of PETA members don't decide what campaigns to run and which ones not to, I was more interested in what other members felt about this campaign. I have to admit that I feel better when I think about this subject, knowing that my thoughts and disgust are not alone. Also, some people have added a touch of humour, which actually has me smiling at their response ( thanks Robbie , I really needed that ). I did make one major mistake though. I started out by saying: I should have known better to think PETA would be the only ones to try to capitalize on this. Winnipeg Free Press I so glad that 250 people turned out and hopefully deterred this ilk from upsetting the family more. Steve For an even more powerful message read this

Uh Oh, looks like CJ was in the tequila again

Tim, I soooo happy for you and your mom. This is the best news that you could have got. Just make sure you give her lots of hugs and let her know how much she really means to you. Steve

I would imagine that most people heard of the tragedy that occurred just outside of Winnipeg here in Canada just over a week ago. To summarize the story, a passenger on a Greyhound bus suddenly attacked a random passenger with a knife and began repeatedly stabbing him. After the bus stopped immediately, the other passengers all got off the bus, leaving the attacker and the already dead victim left on the bus. The attacker than cut the head off the victim and carried it up to the front of the bus and manhandled it in front of the driver and a couple of other passengers who were keeping the bus door closed in order to prevent him from escaping. When the police arrived, several hours of negotiation went on when finally the accused was taken into custody. More shocking was what was revealed when he made his first court appearance. A bag containing an ear, a nose and a lip were found in his pocket. Also, the accused was seen consuming some of the flesh of his victim. The accused remained silent the entire time in court, refused any kind of counsel by shaking his head no, and nodding yes when the judge asked if he understood what was going on. Finally the judge asked the accused if he had anything to say, where after several moments of silence he spoke the only words since his arrest, "Kill Me". This shocked our country and probably most of the world and was the top story on BBC and second top story on CNN, and countless other news services. It is a horrible, disgusting, an unimaginable act that nobody wants to really comprehend happened. The victims family is in shock, their 22 y/o son was on his way home, just over an hour away when this happened to him. Now that the country and world is reeling over this event, who else would take this story and spin it to their advantage, other than PETA. PETA felt that the correlation between this act and what happens to animals at a slaughter house and finally on peoples dinner plates to easy to pass over. They tried to take out this ad in several newspapers and in my opinion were rightly refused. This has me infuriated. I understand that PETA is going for shock value and is trying to equate the similarity, but at what cost? I know some of the members at GA are vegetarian, and I'm really curious if they feel that PETA is justified in trying to publish this ad in Canadian newspapers? I guess I'm trying to understand how some people can use a family's, a countries', or the world's shock and pain to further their particular cause. What do you think? Steve

Oh, don't worry, I don't think anyone is ready to start roasting quite yet . Its just a good idea to stoke the coals since they never really went fully out since the last time they were needed (wonders if we should change to natural gas or propane so we can have instant fire ) Besides, having a nice warm pit near by seems to keep CJ honest .

I'm shocked All this negativity towards the unsung Hero of FTL. As CJ mentioned he had a few rough edges, but when it came to making the right decision, he proved his worth. Keep up all this FTL Eric character assisnation, I will be forced to file a formal complaint against you all with SPICE

Most excellent chapter CJ What I really liked about this chapter was that there was quite a bit going on. We found out why the General went to Idaho (BTW CJ, where in rural Idaho do the parents live, Telluride??? ). We found out who the candidates are to be the main show at the stag. We found out about Helen's plan for a replacement for Jim, who I hope is still included in the story and not forgotten. We learned about the General's son. I really enjoyed the way that Brandon and Chase had been playing with Eric about the proposal too . "Pass me the mustard, let's get married, and pass me the bologna too" That is classic . One thing popped into my mind while reading that no one else has commented on and it was this:

Hey Kevin, Are you acting as an agent for Mick for extra shows????
