  1. I hereby name LTMP 37 The Mother F*@ker Of All Evil Cliffhangers Excuse my profanity!! What are you guys doing talking in here??? We should all be in here !!!! And you know that he is sitting up there on his cliff in Arizona bleating his shaggy arse off as we all suffer here until next week. I'm going for a walk.................
  2. In hopefully less than 24 hours, Fire in The Sky should be released by our Nucleoitumaniac. Anyone else nervous after that last chapter? We all know that the titles are usually something different than what is spelled out in it, but what do you think Fire in the Sky refers to. I might be the other two bombs going off in the US, although up to last week I would never expected the goat to kill off that many innocents, he has proven that he can, and he will. I guess another possibility is that the plane that is carrying Brandon, Chase, Eric, Jon, Helen (Barbara and Joe??) and Gunter blows up in the sky . The most pressing issue in my mind though is the poor goose. How is Mario going to use a goose? Be forewarned CJ, if you harm, maim or kill any Canadian (or animal associated with Canada) in your story, well I"ll...I'll...
  3. Oh Wait, that's not how I voted I really liked the explanations given by CJ. Actually, I think that by learning something that I didn't know, actually makes reading more pleasurable. The unfortunate thing is that I could probably read something totally untrue, and still believe it. Fortunately CJ goes to great lengths to research items before writing about them. And if he later finds out he is incorrect, he lets us know.
  4. Hey Lurker, Welcome as well !! It looks like you may have a lot of valuable input to keep our resident goat on his toes (hooves). You do bring up an interesting point. CJ's last chapter said this: Now I know that J/S and Dimitri were twenty miles away, but I was wondering with the nuclear blast moving at five hundred miles an hour, were they safe at twenty miles?
  5. :nuke: :nuke: I thought we could maybe give CJ a different title, so was looking into if there was any medical definitions for someone who is aroused by bombs :nuke: :nuke: No such luck. The closest I could come up with was Nucleomituphobia. which is the fear of Nuclear Weapons. Would it be fair to label CJ as a Anti-Nucleomituphobic?
  6. Great analogy I guess you could say both situations would end with a giant blast
  7. Really!! I personally read word for word, not understanding 1/10 th of it, but searching, looking, hoping for something in the description saying that the flying wrench had disrupted the power flow to such and such part, thus making the bomb a dud. With all the technical stuff, I thought it built the tension to a nearly unbearable level. I did not want Vlad to die, so I was hoping against hope to have something go wrong. When the bomb finally did detonate, vapourizing Vladimir, the emotional roller coaster hit bottom. By writing the long technical section I think CJ accomplished two things, one was to build the tension, second was to explain the technical aspects of detonation. On the other hand, I understand that some people don't like the technical description. I just would have be really disappointed if it was to the lines of "Dimitri pushed the buttons on the cell phone as they watched the Town of Toowamba and Vladimir blow up" The end.
  8. Okay, now that I've calmed down enough. First, you do realize the goose, like any good Canadian, is way to polite to cause injury or harm to any neighbour of ours, so I don't see any harm coming to the guys . Wow, I didn't see sooo much of that coming!!! Did anyone else carry a false sense of hope for the flying wrench? I guess I still want Vlad to be safe, but noooo, CJ ends up killing him off a very large number of extras at the same time . So we finally see the story behind the story name , definitely not what I thought. Compliments to CJ though for the edge of your seat chapter. From the high of after concert party, to the meeting with Joe, just when things start to be looking good we have the death of probably millions of innocent Australians. What a emotional roller coaster . I think I honestly need a week to recover.
  9. Happy Birthday Vance!!!! I hope you have a great Birthday, and a great year ahead of you Enjoy Steve
  10. I haven't voted because my option isn't listed......yet! Originally I said Brandon. I agree with Mike that the story kind of revolves around him, and his adventure with the brothers. Even though J/S's side plot is now a major part of the story, I feel that it is still about Brandon. Now since you were generous enough to include people associated with the band, I have to ask where is Gunter? At this point of the story I find him really interesting. It is like CJ is being a tease, giving us just minor glimpses of the man that I feel will be the one to foil all of J/S's plans. Probably be helped out by Brandon, Jon, Eric, and Chase. Most likely will involve something from Joe and even Barbara. In the end though I feel it will be Gunter who takes care of business.
  11. Must be at least the spawn of the devil
  12. Hey, that's my nations official bird your picking on!!! Maybe they do that cause they have sensitive digestive tracks and can't handle American cuisine Well.........we do after all have a goat writing great stories on the internet . If that is possible, than any of the above I guess are possible too
  13. Thanks CJ, now every thing is clear as mud A lot of good points . I agree with a lot that you say. My question on the fifth, is regarding Gunter. I would assume since the guys have played their final concert, his contract is over. But wasn't their mention of him working with Rob to ensure their security was looked after up in Telluride? The one thing that kind of sticks out, is that Gunter is disliked by J/S, ever since the tour of Rome, but he really hasn't alluded to that since then. Actually he hasn't mentioned Gunter as being an obstacle or anything. Maybe J/S is not giving him the credit that he should. As far as the possibility of Dimitri eliminating J/S, that is a very real possibility. Dimitri has shown J/S a lot of respect in the past. Calling him his boss, and trying to connect with him. J/S has shown him nothing in return. Now that the bombs are armed and in place, it wouldn't be hard to get rid of J/S and then Dimitri would be holding all the cards. I know in the past I have said that I believe that J/S will blackmail the US for money to carry out his plans in South America, but Rob makes me re think that situation. Could J/S not get more money, by demonstrating he has the bombs, by detonating the Australian one (speaking of which, is Graeme hiding in his newly constructed fall out shelter that we haven't from him ) and then providing the disposable camera pictures, making people believe that their is more than two more, and then auctioning off the activation codes to the highest bidder? I think he could get a fair amount of money from Al Quida, or other middle eastern interests. Steve
  14. I'm surprised that nobody has commented on the abuse that poor Eric suffered by CJ's pen in the most recent chapter. Helen tripped him with a broom in what is to be assumed a concrete utility room Helen locked him in a utility closet Helen took his buzz away Jerry nearly garroted him in the shipping container He nearly broke his toe on a container He repeatedly kicked a live nuclear bomb :nuke: When will the harm that CJ puts in Eric's way cease?
  15. Hmm, so the story actually takes place in the future, maybe this would explain why a goose would be listed in the phone book . I was kind of wondering what you were doing when you had them do that song at the end of the concert tour, and since it was the last song, it was kind of dark. But you seemed to give us the reaction of the crowd, who was silent, pondering the words and then breaking out in applause, so even though it was dark, maybe it wasn't a downer for the crowd. Speaking of dark , in a way this was kind of a dark chapter.
  16. Me thinks that a certain Tiger has CJ by the toe (or hoof). Hopefully you have evidence, such as a saved PM where CJ has finally admitted to using cliffhanger . If you do, please feel free to share with us, we will all keep it a secret
  17. Goat flavoured bagels??? I'll pass
  18. CJ likes tequila Tequila results in cliffhangers Therefore CJ = Cliffhangers
  19. CJ, CJ, Cj, I believe this is a prime example of looking through rose coloured glasses (speaking of which, what colour of tint are your glasses ). When you look at your characters in a chapter penned by Steve, you see your characters involved in a cliffhanger, which I should point out is actually a cliffhanger between Cody and Joe. And yet when you see the same scene written by yourself, with one of your main characters antagonizing the one woman in the story that can do irreparable harm to him, and that is just on consuming CJ's nectar. But is that far enough? NO!! You have to have Eric further antagonize Helen by pointing a spray bottle (containing what, who knows, could be ammonia, bleach?), and threatening to spray her in the face with it . Then you leave the chapter off without letting us know if Eric comes to his senses. How can you not see the cliffhanger in that???? All I can say is people living in glass houses should not throw stones. Steve
  20. I stand corrected Lissa, it is long brown hair, I must have been thinking of Jon's jet black hair  . Welcome to the forum too . Get used to the cliffhangers, especially as the story gets closer to the end. CJ I'm sure will prove again why he is our King :king: and Queen :king: . Steve
  21. Congratulations Benji!!!! 2000 posts means 2000 smiles on everyone's faces !
  22. Mr. Shadowgod (since we're being formal and all ) Unfortunately you must have misunderstood the word "feeding". Does a mother tie down a toddler before feeding her child? I merely meant that Cody provided the nourishment (the devil's nectar) for poor Eric. Actually, you mentioned a cliffhanger. And what a doozy it is. I am seriously concerned for Eric's well being if he does press that trigger on the spray bottle while pointed at Helen. Even if he is her favorite, I'm sure certain bodily harm will be done to him if he follows through in his drunken fun. Still, Cody is the one who made this all possible, so he has to share some of the blame. I would say that the crack dealer is just as responsible as the addict for the addicts actions when high. Maybe I need to go post in the SPiCE and CLiF forums both. Sincerely, Mr. Wildone
  23. Well if I were to hazard a guess, the fax is a somewhat mission statement, revealing his intentions to the US gov't,, explaining the upcoming demonstration, and his demands. Another thing I wanted to mention, did you on purposely leave a bit of character development out until now. If I'm not mistaken, we have known that Eric has jet black hair, and a body to die for, but I do believe that this is the first time we learned he has sapphire blue eyes. Needless to say, that image is conjuring up some happy images in my mind. As far a Eric goes, I think that SPICE has had some influence on you and your writing. What was it, six or seven chapters that you tortured us poor innocent readers waiting for the kiss between Brandon and Chase. Then WHAM, in one chapter we have one of the hottest kisses happen between Eric and Cody , Funny too how you had Helen barge in on them before anything else could happen. Hopefully Brandon and Chase hear about the kiss and see the irony of her barging in on him . Now as far as the chapter goes, Don't tequila the Eric, I think that is a great idea. Let's see, so far Helen, Barbara, Jon, Brandon, Chase, Gunter, J/S, and Cody all know that Eric isn't allowed tequila, so there really isn't too many left to tempt him with it. I guess there may be an encounter between Joe and Eric, but I'm hoping Joe is on the straight and narrow and not going to be anywhere around the devil's nectar (BTW, didn't you allude to the fact that it is one of your favourite drinks ).
