  1. Caution, possible spoilers below; I'm a bit worried for a certain Russian engineer by the name of Dimitri !! I think his social ineptitude will be a deciding factor on his lifespan with his current employer. It seems like the bomb assembly is going along quite well, and may be done sooner than later. Unfortunately it seems like his transfer to the fertilizer project may be sooner as well. I must also say the CJ, you handled the technical aspects in a good way. Rather than getting too much into them, you showed your knowledge of the process, but got away from becoming too technical by keeping further conversation between Dimitri and Vladimir not in the story. I love scenes when the characters wake up in each others arms.... or falling out of the same bed . I'm glad the Chase got the most important birthday present from Brandon. If there is any question in the Shadows mind about the closeness of the two, I'm sure that Brandon's expensive gift to Chase will reaffirm their suspicions. Now, with the comment about Brandon going to the closet and "briefly" searching for something, I imagine Chase's attire at the pool will be a bit more risky than the Shadows shorts and t-shirts. Me thinks Conner will be pleased (okay, me too!!!), this sounds like it is going to be a great pool party. I must warn you though CJ, you may have backed yourself into a corner here. How possibly could Instinct and The Shadows go rock climbing around Vegas (Red Rock Canyon NCA possibly?), and not have a scene with one of your characters hanging off a cliff? Thus indeed proving your love of cliffhangers . Great chapter CJ, the wait was worth it. Steve
  2. And lets not forget, by CJ actually posting in this forum, he is acknowledging that there is a possibility that he is indeed the Queen :king: . It has been amazing seeing the recovery of CJ since he has come back from Europe. I wonder what exactly it was that has put him on this path? Possibly seeing the heart of monarchies? Perhaps the attitude towards regents of the population? Whatever it is, it is a breath of fresh air that CJ is embracing what we all have been trying to get him to see . Steve
  3. I seem to recall that joke from years ago ! And as far as Cj's silence, I was thinking the same thing. Since it may have come a little too close to the story's eventual outcome, CJ has no option to be silent or face the posibility of gaining a spine or two from you . Steve Edit to add: And at least, no comment about him being a stud
  4. Dang, on vacation and missed this momentous occasion. Congratulations on hitting and exceeding 5000 posts CJ. As mentioned before, your posts do make a difference here. I do believe that in troubled times, people turn to their Queen for leadership, and once again you are out in front . As far as the "kill Wildone" comment, I'm sure you don't really feel that way (Also I'm a bit nervous getting on a plane in a couple of hours heading back to the Great White North ) . Thank you CJ for all that you do. Steve
  5. Ahhhhh, the pieces are starting to fall in place. Here I thought it was The Scar seeking revenge, but in truth, CJ is writing a story to reflect his true feelings . I believe that a young Cj (back when he was just a kidd ), was sold into a life of being a 'stud', traveling the Australian countryside and eventually onto Europe, and then the US. Being that CJ just couldn't be 'that kinda goat', he faced several threats and challenges from farmers to become dinner. Miraculously he escaped and turned to a life of pounding out stories with his cloven hooves. But, he always remembers that one farmer in Tooborac who turned his life upside down. This mental trauma inflicted upon him also must be the reason of some of other character misgivings that have developed over the years (eg. denial, deflection, etc.) . Finally able to come to grasps with his past, CJ has turned to literature to express his deep hatred for that farmer and the country that turned their backs on him. Although there is no real bombs, I'm sure he is just expressing his feelings through his writings of The Scar. Obviously the Instinct part of the story is to distract us from the 'real' story. Thanks for the story CJ. It makes us understand you a bit more . Steve
  6. And.....any futhermore changes to the rules will now require constitutional consent of 75% or more of GA Administrators who publically acknowledge their name and position in such challenge. Any persons of such title may be allowed only one vote per that persons name, not per position. Any challenges to above rules must be filed within fifteen minutes of posting time.
  7. Don't you mean "snow job" Steve
  8. Now CJ, I do believe that you have mentioned numerous times that any final errors are entirely yours. So, this means that in the unbelievable event that Steve were actually to insert a cliffhanger, that the final result was yours, not Steve's. Furthermore, the final posted chapter is entirely of yours, thus any cliffies are to be entirely reflected upon you. Hmmm, didn't we go down this route already If your unsure about the wording and simpleness, check here . I really don't know how more simpler that we can make it. But....as my queen, I will submit to your wishes and if you want another vote to confirm what a vast majority has already stated, then so be it.
  9. All motions carried except for post #1..... Any objections.............. None, all motions now enacted into law except for post 1. Damn, ain't democracy great Steve
  10. CJ, I do believe BeaStKid explained it here: There appears to be no question in anyone's mind on that this poll is decide who is most prolific after yourself Now I do believe that other Admins may have voted in this poll as well, so surely this means that they are in agreement too .
  11. I too had a great time, so thanks Viv and Steve . And some things that I remember about two of my favourite authors here at GA..... When I talked to Viv and told her I'd meet her in front of the hotel, and I'd just watch for a car swerving towards the curb as if they were going to hit me....she didn't deny it. I should have taken that as a hint . I was looking forward to dinner at BJ's, but was happy with Olive Garden as well. Was concerned about waiting in the lobby and first a Fire Department Crash Truck pulls up, then an Ambulance, then the patrons are being taken out on a gurney, but when in Rome.... And what, no comment on the hot fire fighters The were definitely more memorable than the waitresses. Southern Californians don't like cold, or anything that resembles it. It was a balmy 50 degrees out, shorts weather up in Canada. I couldn't believe how much clothing is needed for this mild temperature. Viv would have made an Eskimo proud . I really liked the movie too. Kinda reminded me of The 13th Warrior (Eater's of the Dead). But then again, it is the continuance of that series. Now my question is, why did they have to obscure certain parts of the anatomy. By the expression of the queen/princess, we were missing a major part of the character . It was rated "R" wasn't it? Also, Steve, are you going to explain the Molten Gold Pasties? Steve, Viv and Rich are 3 great people, and would love to see them again. If anyone is out this way, I would highly recommend meeting them. The interactions between Steve and Viv kept me smiling the entire night. Lastly, I promise if I come down again, I will leave the bad weather up in Canada. It would have been interesting if the mini golf game hadn't been canceled due to rain. Steve
  12. Wasn't too sure where to post this, but since Frenchcanadian visits here often: Congratulations on the 100th post!! It has been great reading your posts here in CJ's forum, as well as throughout GA. It seems like just last year CJ hit the magical 100 post mark......wait, it was only last year !! I'll be looking forward to many more from you Frenchcanadian in the future Steve (notice the colours once again , just too bad les Habitants could not muster up sixty minutes of game instead of just the forty )
  13. CJ, I feel like you are beginning to feel un-secure with your new title , trying to re-name yourself a porter. We're all here to try to help you make the transition. Maybe think of it like Prince, the singer, even when he tried to rename himself to that symbol, he was always still known as Prince. Now, he has finally admitted that he is Prince and uses that name. Besides, would you rather be known as "The Queen of the Evilest Cliffhangers" or "The Author formerly known as the Queen of the Evilest Cliffhangers"? If I were you, I would take the first . Steve
  14. um, would you believe me if I said I'm on the no fly list Steve
  15. Maybe I can beg the Princess to take pity upon me Tell a joke or two And see if the abdicated King will have a word with his , , Steve
  16. Yeah, yeah, yeah..they had sex  . Wait a minute, they had sex!!! Wow, and before chapter 20 at that. CJ, are you trying to dispel a certain rumour going around on the internet about you and cliffhangers ? I am totally into the secondary storyline now, if it even really is a secondary storyline. One thing about the questions being posed about the Scar and his ten year storage of the bombs, and domination of Paraguay, is if there is any clues being given to us. Me thinks that something has to do with the reason The Scar, became The Scar. We know he killed a man for giving him one, but how and why did he get it. I would imagine that it has to do with who the bombs are being planned for. Also, given the fact that CJ has mentioned in the story several times the bombs have to last for ten years, doesn't really necessary mean that they will be detonated in ten years, could be much sooner. Now my next point....Graeme, how would you and your family like to relocate to maybe North America? I really can't see 3 bombs containing more than 200 kilograms of Cobalt, being snuck around the countryside or out of the country. So, does this mean that the bombs will explode in Australia? Lastly, if Vladimir builds the remote device using some Dell laptop batteries, things may go boom sooner than later . Oh, back to the boys....It was mentioned about Chase not being with a girl and the media attention, but it was also mentioned that most the reporters had already picked up on this in the past. Since Barbara is doing a fine job as a stand in for Brandon, maybe they are not too concerned with Chase's image, being able to pass it off as being a shy person, who barely turned eighteen. With the glance from the lead singer of the Shadows, I'm being to wonder if he put two and two together, and it will require Zeke to come in and straighten the mess out. Well enough rambling. Steve
  17. Get me !! All I did was float an idea, and let the fair and democratic process take over from there . I do believe if you go back in the posts, you'll even find that I defended your right to be named Queen . I do believe you can not get anymore "grassroots" than the way that this question is handled. I probably wouldn't be surprised if future referendums and propositions are held in this basic way in the future. But.....you are my Queen, so being a loyal subject, I will defer to whatever you feel is necessary in your regal judgment :king: . Steve
  18. Welcome Back BeaStKid!!!! How did the competitions go? We've missed you
  19. We'll have to let Graeme decide if it is or not. If his Kevin finds a certain Echidna spines in his butt, then we'll know it was
  20. I agree. Maybe I didn't quite come across clearly in my post, when I used the expression "pet peeve". I guess you have all described what I meant to say in a more accurate way. Thanks, Steve
  21. Speaking of jumping in a deep end.....Graeme, are you not a little surprised that CJ hasn't bestowed upon some people his sincere gratitude for rallying the troops in getting his title acknowledged? He actually has been uncharacteristically quiet over the title. It must still must be sinking in and eventually he will rightfully claim his new title. Well, off to the next job.......... Steve
  22. I would like to direct any queries about my posting rate to Kevin . I have been working a ton of overtime of late to try and take care of some recent credit card transactions. I figure that I maybe made about a grand extra last week, so subtract that from $611,000,000.......darn, have to get to the next job. Steve
