I've been checking my online bill for an itemized description of what was bought, but all the charges are to a numbered company . Kevin, did you just call 1-900 numbers for the whole time ? -
Welcome Back CJ We missed you!! We laughed. we cried, we hopefully made you proud by being the silliest we could be. But above all we posted enough to cover for a week or two of you not being here . Why don't you get some rest and then you can tell us about your trip, and especially if you ran into The Scar in your travels. And don't worry about the coronation thing, everybody has that covered for you!! We'll let you know when and where it'll be, you just need to show up . Steve

True enough, it is also like a four day weekend. Not such a big thing up here in Canada. Now, this should be post 499. Graeme, would you like the honours of the mighty 500? Afterall, you did start this thread . And in case frenchcanadian gets it, . I'm off to watch a hockey game at the bar. Steve

Hmmm, maybe we should start a "Since BeaStKid is Away" forum Love the story, and brought back a memory from Grade One when I got to play Santa as we did Six White Boomers by Rolf Harris. I think i was PO'd, cause I wanted to be Joey sitting in the sled. Well five to go. Steve

Does this mean we can blame the whole Queen of the Evilest Cliffhangers on you? Good luck in the competition. Here's hoping you do well. And don't worry, I won't come and jump on your bed again until your home . Steve

As I said, I love the snow....usually. It reminds me of the hours and hours of playing hockey on the outdoor rinks, the tobogganing, the downhill and cross country skiing, or just the fun of snowball fights with each side building snow forts. But, of the two car accidents I've had, both have been when it was snowing. Usually I can tolerate down to minus 20 Celsius easily (-4 F) but when it goes lower, then I can get grumpy. And it doesn't always help to go on vacation. A few years back I thought I'd go to Dallas in February to get away from the cold for a week, and guess what? It snowed the first 3 days I was down there. I was shocked how a city could come to a standstill. It was funny though to see guys standing in the back of dump trucks on the roads shoveling out sand to sand the roads. I guess when you don't have snow very often, there isn't a need for road sanders. Saying that, I should forewarn Viv, Shadowgod and whomever is in the LA area, I'll be down in Anaheim for a week next Wednesday, so you might want to check if you have some warmer clothing . Steve

Post #472 and nobody's been around in like 12 hours !!! So we got our first good snowfall last night and woke up to a winter wonderland. I really like the snow when it first falls before all the cars drive on it and make it into a brown mushy mess. Since the weather is suppose to be not so good the next while, I think it is about time for a vacation. And this concludes my mindless rambling for a while. Steve

Dang, based on your review I thought I would buy it or rent it. It doesn't seem to be released yet up here in the frozen north. Well, maybe I'll get a copy when down in California next week. Steve

Thank you oh great and mighty Queen of Evilest Cliffhangers First off, I was glad that there was much more about the doings of The Scar, Vladimir, and Dimitri. Although there is two separate stories going on, I am now equally interested in both stories now. A far cry from when I didn't like the two going on at once at the beginning. I have always wondered what it would be like to work on a farm. If I had the chance to spend a week or two working on one, it would be cool. Now that I know that if I get offered to work on the "fertilizer project", I will know to run, and run fast. Great choice of words CJ . Here, I will have to disagree, although I see your point frenchcanadian. I have always wondered how planes "steer" their way to their location. Also I have wondered how planes avoid mid air collisions. Quiet often you see one named airline taking off immediately followed by another airline going to the same place. I think I have a better understanding on how air traffic control and beacons work to ensure everybody gets where they are going safely. Also, it shows how much research CJ puts into a topic and may even give us a bit of insight into something that interests the author . But I do also see how maybe it would be too much info for someone who already knows this, or doesn't really have an interest in it. Actually I'm going to blame Shadowgod for not inserting a cliffhanger in this chapter . Wait, you abdicated that title, so I guess your excused. But am I alone in saying that I have actually missed the evil cliffhangers the past two chapters that we expect? Now for my pet peeve.....lyrics in a story. I do not like them simply because I'm busy trying to play "name that tune" and come up with accompaniment for the lyrics that I miss the meaning of the words. Like frenchcanadian, I have to reread the words to get the meaning and that takes away their impact. Lastly, great to hear from you Conner , hopefully there might be a private pool at the hotel that the boys are staying at, and the ensuing pool party will be memorable. Steve

Thanks Kevin I needed that between my first and second jobs, it totally invigorated me . Might have to call on you between the second and third job again! (either that or a really really big glass of Red Bull) Steve

Talking about HOT, I always liked Blake (I think that was his character name  ). Although what he did to Ted in I believe the first season was totally uncool, his reoccuring character was always my favourite for looks. When he made his final appearance, I was saddened that he could not ethically get together with Ted. Poor Ted, I guess I related to him the most, but minus the drug addiction. Steve

Well dang, the new ball park in DC is costing $611,000,000, so I'm figuring Ieshwar might be aquiring another country of two (maybe he has ambitions like The Scar). Hopefully everyone else gets roughly an equal present . Remind me to call and get my limit adjusted down a bit for the future. Steve (who may not be posting for awhile as he is now working 25 of 24 hours a day) -
High Noon here, and still no new chapter . Kevin, do you have any hot chocolate left to help lift my spirits?? I imagine there is some left over with Ishewar absence of late.. As far as the posting goes, with everyone's contribution, who know how high we will go . Well back to work I go. Steve

But you have to realize that the rest of the world using english has trouble when we come across the word "color". I still to this day stop when seeing that spelling and think 'is this miss spelled, nope, it is an American author'. Although this used to annoy me, I have learned it as identifying the author as being different from my norm, which is . The other day I was reading a story, not sure if it was one of Graeme's or not, and they used the word tyre multiple times. I have never seen that spelling for tire, but was fascinated that was how it was spelled down under. Rather than looking to say who is wrong, use it as a way of learning more about each others. Let's all not be so ethnocentric (yes, I had to look up that spelling). Steve

It's 11:50 pm local time, so one last post for the day. I do believe it has been a good day for posts, but still could have been better with a new chapter, but oh well  . Only 10 mins to tuesday . I'll agree the second, and maybe a bit with the first, only if it doesn't involve hockey . Steve

43 posts so far today Benji I do believe you may have taken Kevin out and forcing some of us to go back and re-evaluate how many posts CJ will get to in one 24 hour period.

That brings up an important point that I bring up with people who do by hybrid or electric cars. In the particular area I live in, electrical generation is 97% coal generated. We do not have nuclear, yet, and we are expanding rapidly on our wind powered generation, and hydro electric isn't really feasible do to the lack of rivers and the expense. So, I wonder, it the pollution of one gasoline car more or less than the pollution created by generating electricity for the car by coal burning? I'm not saying that people are polluting more by using electricity, but are they doing anything to improve the atmosphere? I try to remain balanced in my opinion, as I get a lot of information from both sides as my province and the southeastern part of the neighboring province ships a train load of coal every 3 hours to New York for electrical generation, and we also are the largest producers of oil in North America.
