I agree with the misdirection. Barbara was monitoring the news services for the name Carlisle. So if the headline was something along the lines of "Tragedy happens in climbing incident involving the Carlisle brothers...", Barbara would be alerted. Any mention of the accident, regardless of who was involved would most likely have their names included. Then again, our goat is the master of deception, so we may have all missed the obvious. Possibly Wilde and Steve had their discussion and Wilde offered up a bottle of Tequila to the other two. After a few swigs, Eric looks over the edge to see how Chase is making out and spots the paparazzi hiding behind a rock taking pictures. Not having a handy fire hose, Eric instinctively leaps off the cliff to tackle the photographer, and hits him so hard in a free fall, that he kills the photographer. It's not like we haven't seen these scenarios before I kinda like the BBQ idea. How bout making it a pool party with a BBQ? I know CJ would be much more comfortable at a pool party. Steve

Sacha, I not one usually to stir the pot . But here is some evidence that may cause some turmoil in this little love in between CJ and yourself . I may need Shadowgod's confirmation here, but I do believe that CJ may have stated in the past that he believes Canada is a mythical place that doesn't really exist. I do believe that he believes that we all are a figment of the media's imagination, and a conspiracy of said media. So, I do believe CJ has stated that Conner, myself, Jack Frost right now, and yourself are all "not real". If you need proof, I shall do some digging for said posts. Steve

So I finally got to log on and saw that LTMP 19 was posted Then I read it I must say after reading the conclusion of the chapter, in my opinion, you have sole claim CJ to the title of: :king: :king: Queen Of The Evilest Cliffhangers :king: :king: I then went back and reread LiS 26, and I must say that it unequivocally pales in comparison to LTMP 19. You easily put it to shame CJ / Now, before we go and roast, hack, spill blood, and mount body parts above fire places, I will weigh in my opinion of the conclusion of the chapter. Often CJ has stated that the titles can be about the chapter, or they can mislead us as in "The Kiss". I think if you look at this title "Then there were two", I would point out that there is 4 members in Instinct, and 3 members in The Shadows. So since CJ killed off another character, I would say it was one of the Shadows. Also the next chapter is called "The show must go on". Wouldn't it be easier to go on with losing the warm up act than if they lost one of the members of the lead act? I do believe it was Steve that has exited stage left early due to a couple of clues. First was when Eric caught his expression when he looked over and saw Wilde with a blond on his lap. Second, was that of anyone, Steve was most concerned about the image seen, and how he would look. I do believe Eric was confronting Wilde about his and Steve's relationship when Steve got to the top of the cliff and overheard Eric. Already shaky from free climbing the cliff, and the shock of what he heard, I would guess he fell backwards off the cliff. As far as Chase, he was harnessed and being belayed by Zeke from the bottom, so the chances of him falling is slim to none. Lastly, at the conclusion of the chapter, Helen said she wanted to see how the rest of her boys are doing. I would say she wants to check up with all four boys of Instinct to see how they are doing after seeing a member of The Shadows die in front of them. As far as the white car, yes I do believe it was the paparazzi. They got the story out quickly because they witnessed the event. Notice that Barbara wouldn't say the name of Helen's favourite because she knew how she would react? Yet she gave the name. I did really enjoy the chapter CJ . I take it the bombs will be transported to the docks in Melbourne and move elsewhere from Australia as well. I loved the way "Shirley" help Brandon, Chase, Helen and Barbara get revenge on Eric and Jon . With all the suspense that the final chapter had in it, I think I should remind CJ about his statement about if someone guessed future chapters possibly getting an advance release of the next chapter . I do believe I may have suggested them going to Red Rock Canyon, and since I can't wait six days, care to forward LTMP 20 to my inbox CJ???? Like tonight!!! I think you misinterpreted it . The way I read it was you were faced with a choice of freeing CJ to the world or to make him somebody's dinner. You being the better human being showed compassion, understanding, and did the right thing instead of what may have been the popular thing . Either that, or revert back to Rule #1 of CJ's. A few weeks ago, an idea sprung forth in one of CJ's forums, and I kind of ran with it. The result was a early Christmas present for CJ . After 'giving' the present to CJ he suggested that I post it here as well. So that's what I've done. So here is CJ's Christmas present for the entire Herd of Capricans to enjoy. Hopefully you like it as much as I did creating it. Steve Just Kidding An unusual cool breeze was blowing from the South today, a bit of salt in the air which meant that the winds off the Victorian coast by Melbourne must be strong. Not often did the coastal breezes make it far enough in land to the town of Tooboroc. But the wind was the least of the worries of a farmer who had a goat in labour for the last six hours. Usually a nanny in labour was only an hour or so, at most a two hour event. But this poor mother was having a struggle with getting the unborn kidd to come into the world. The farmer contemplated ringing up the vet after the second hour, and once again in the third hour. Unfortunately the vet was in Melbourne at some conference and he only received voice mail. All the farmer could do was to make the mother comfortable and be ready for the kidd when it finally arrived, still born or not. What concerned the farmer even more was that this goat was about a month overdue from the usual gestational period of goats. Finally after a sudden increase of bleating from the mother, the farmer noticed the rump of a kidd starting to make its way out. No wonder the mother was struggling so much, it was in breach. Realizing it was now or never, the farmer was able to manoeuvre a hand inside to grasp both of the hind legs and gently ease the kidd away from the mother. Finally with the head out, the farmer was amazed at the size of the goat being just born. Its black coat was still covered in afterbirth and the little bugger had horns already growing from his head. The kid took its first breath and kicked and bolted into an upright position. Looking down at his mom still on the ground, he immediately went over and started nursing on one of her teats. The farmer was concerned about the condition of the mother, and pulled the kidd away and decided that bottle feeding would have to be the most appropriate way to save both of them. Sure, there would be ramifications later in life for this goat for not getting the opportunity to feed off his mother, but he was so well developed the farmer was sure he would survive without it. After ensuring the mother was comfortable the farmer carried the kidd into the stable to clean him up. The farmer was amazed at the nearly half grown size of the goat. After washing him down he was shocked again. Since the farmer usually made his male kidds into wethers (castrated males) because they would have a better grade and quantity of meat, he was taken aback by not only the development, but also the size of this kidd

Interesting regional differences, even in Canada. Like elsewhere, if you want french fries, you'd ask for fries. With the "bag of chips", we do call them potato chips, both words. So it would be "grab me a bag of potato chips, will ya?" The crisps, I think we are usually referring to Mr.Christie (Nabisco in the US) "Crispers", which are flavoured baked, shaped thin crackers. Amazing how you can read something into what you read. With the talk of the tiger's eye, I decided to look it up. Not only did it have a description, but it also has meaning to it and who should receive it. You can read it here . It seems like maybe this stone may have been better suited for Brandon than Chase, unless it is really Chase that is the shy reserved person . Wow I must say I'm surprised. First off, let me say that I totally understand and respect everyones opinions here, as everybody is entitled to them. What I find a little shocking, is some of the comments that have been posted here. I have been hoping that someone who is HIV + possibly commenting in this forum. Unfortunately if there was someone, I don't think they would be too comfortable doing so. I imagine that since we are a group of people attracted to GLBT writing, that there must be some members that are dealing with AIDS on a daily basis, either with it, or with someone that has it. Maybe we should all go back and look at our postings and see how we may have come across to someone in their shoes. I respect the honesty of everyone, but unfortunately I do see some attitudes that haven't really changed over the last twenty years. I guess the original question was a personal question, so people are expressing personal opinions. It just pains me a bit that we may be excluding some members by expressing those opinions without taking their position into thought. Okay, enough of my babbling. I did not post in order to make anyone feel bad about anything they said or feel, but just posted on the feeling that I have got over the last while in this forum. Please don't change your opinions, or feelings based on what I have said. All I ask is that everyone educate themselves and learn as much about this disease (plague?) that has swept the world. Great chapter CJ ! How can you say anything bad about a whole chapter that is 9/10 a pool party . As far as the Shadows go, I don't think I trust any of them at all. Just a feeling that I get. Even though they say things are cool between them, Steve or Zeke haven't really said what got them riled up in the first place. And as far as Wilde goes, he hasn't said anything at all. I did love their gift though, luckily Chase turned their ignorance into humour. I'm wondering if our goat is telling us the truth. If I was the new gunsmith, I would have been running for my life, even if it was out to the fertilizer project . Is that true, that (plastic) explosives won't react to fire? I would have thought just the sudden change in temperature would have caused the explosion. I wonder what Jon and Eric are up to with the planning going on after seeing Brandon's reaction getting on the bus. I imagine that driving a bus wouldn't rank up there with flying a plane, but who knows? One question for you CJ, that hopefully won't be considered a spoiler. You mentioned both story lines would eventually merge. I was wondering what the time difference is between the two stories at this point? I would guess that they boys will have concerts booked across the US (hopefully popping up to Canada for a concert or two) before they even consider going on to Australia. Well maybe it is that everybody is in agreement that CJ is a prolific poster who uses cliffhangers in almost every posted chapter, and even CJ has given in and agreed .
