  1. Something just popped into my head as I was remembering that a few days ago was Robbie Burns Day.... Did we ever find out the importance of the recipe for Haggis was that Arnold left? I don't think so
  2. For all the younger crowd at GA I decided to show you picture by picture how babies are made Don't believe about the storks and or even mating that your parents may have lied to you about. Here is the truth:
  3. I'm surprised Bayoudreamn was the first to mention this huge cliffhanger that CJ has left us with Could it be that we are so used to them that we may actually be immune to the effects it leaves on us So looked up on Wiki and found this: This tells me that indeed they have been noticed by the Chilean Navy, who knows, maybe it is a priest in the chapel who will pray for them The big question is, how will the Chilean Navy respond. I'm sure they will be watching for Argentina to pursue them and that should get their ire up. Too bad there isn't any surface to air missiles to remind the Argentinean Orion that they are in their airspace. One last note, a few people I have known have taken cruises around the Cape and those people have said that when they entered Argentina it was beautiful, but they knew by all the rules that there was corruption everywhere. They were encouraged to stay in groups and not to wander off. After the rounding and making port in Chilli, things were much different. People weren't on guard as much when there. It seems Trevor has picked a few choice spots for troubles with government corruption. First Egypt, now Argentina. I should say that this is others impressions of Argentina, not my own. Most likely the average Argentinean is welcoming and honest person to tourists. Just like when you have a corrupt central government, it tends to flow out to all the branches and arms of that government and takes years to correct and improve upon.
  4. Much like we see every time CJ claims he doesn't use cliffhangers
  5. Sadly after two games I'm using the 'rebuilding year' excuse for my Flames
  6. I believe that after the Falkland's War, and the recent sabre rattling from Argentina to repatriate the islands, the British have a much larger force stationed on the islands. Checking the Wiki article on the Falkland's Military I see this: Part time resident based Falkland Islands Defence Force. Royal Navy has a port at Royal Air Force Mount Pleasant. Has a frigate, a RFA vessel and a patrol boat permanently assigned to the area. Royal Navy can deploy, and has, nuclear class submarines to the area. British Army has a 1200 personnel at the garrison on the Islands. Rapier Missile Stations and other anti air equipment deployed on the Islands. Royal Air Force has four Typhoon fighters and services the islands with TriStars. One Vickers VC10 and one Hercules C3. VC 10 for refueling, Herc for air drops and air patrols of the island. Two Sea King HAR3's. It sounds like the Brits have enough to put up a bit more than a little defence of the islands and their 200 mile limit. Not sure what the difference between 200 nm and 200 miles
  7. A couple of things came to mind whilst reading this chapter and then brought up in this chapters discussion: I am of the belief that they will make it to either the Falklands or Chile. Probably the former. Being a British Territory with a 200 mile nautical limit, if for any reason Bridget where to enter the waters she would be subject to arrest and deportation to the US. How Trevor and Shane can keep Xavier and his goons away long enough to piss Bridget off and draw her down there and be part of a mission is beyond me. BTW, the US does have a extradition treaty with Chile dating back to enforcement in 1902. As far as the potatoes, I remember them buying a bag of them. Much more than a couple that were tossed to get the awareness of anyone on board or nearby. I think back to when Trevor disabled the pirates boat by putting sugar in their engines. I think the potatoes could do the same. I searched it and found a 1969 documentary on British Railroaders called 'Engines Must Not Enter the Potato Siding', which was because the potato siding was above ground and had a wooden floor. Then there were many comments about bio fuel, but nothing about disabling an engine with uncooked potatoes. I wouldn't put it past the goat though. So based on these, I'm thinking that Trevor and Shane disable the gun boat with potatoes. Then they make a beeline for the Falkland Islands which is just across the Argentine Sea. Looking at the South side of the Beagle Channel there appears to be no real population to help the guys out. The North Shore and the Argentinian Coast line looks equally isolate with the nearest city to Ushuaia being Rio Grande. Not sure who would win a boat race to the Falklands though. Lastly, Bridget's 'Im just misunderstood' line is a common one for CJ. It first appeared in For the Love with the unsung hero Eric being misunderstood. Followed by what's his name ( ) in Let the Music Play and Changing Lanes. CJ has said it many times about himself too. Looking forward to Tuesday
  8. :music: Happy Birthday Bleu :music: Hope your day was great and there is many more in the year to come! And now, the song that pops into my head every time I read your name
  9. Well, I'm usually a humble person myself, but I do have to take A LOT of credit for the ending of the NHL lockout.... I wrote both the NHL and the NHLPA and told them about the risk of the Annual GA Hockey Pool being cancelled this year due to the lockout. I explained that the tens of fans here would be devastated if the pool didn't happen. Before even the media knew, Gary Bettman and Donald Fehr both personally called me to let me know that our pool was the driving force for the two sides to finally hammer out the final agreement.

  11. :music: Happy Birthday Riley :music: Sorry that I'm late to the party......again But I'm really glad you got the present that I sent all the way from Canada....the cold weather Enjoy your Birthday Week
  12. Thanks Benji Since I'm still just on the phone, I would have used the arguments you have provided. One other point, you know how they say every poker player has a 'tell' when they have a good hand.... Look back through the last sixty or so chapters' forums a d point out ANY incidents of CJ even remotely commenting on any of my or Benji's posts about Grundig or anthony elses including Mike's. Sort of like the absence of any comment of Julie until the chapter where Julie called Bridget from Fiji
  13. Things are starting to make sense now I am a total idiot I read the chapter on my phone as I didn't have access to a computer at the time. Unfortunately as I read about half I started getting the 20% battery left and then 10% and then it died. I thought I had finished the chapter and a lot of things didn't make sense about the phone call . I recalled the smile crossing Bridget's face when Xavier mentioned about the phone companies protection of numbers but unfortunately didn't read the last line of the chapter I went back and reread the whole chapter to see what you all were talking about and at the end got the final sentence .Now I'm up to speed. That one sentence made the whole chapter into a major cliffhanger. If we will find this as nice and relaxing, I am in a way not looking for the torture I'm about to endure over the next few chapters I noticed above CJ made the comment about Bridget making others do her dirty work to a comment about Grundig being on her side. I will take this now as confirmation I guessed right about Grundig many, many, many, many chapters ago Then again, there is the outside chance Trevor has now choked on his empanadas and is in the hospital and about to be medivac airlifted to the states, hopefully with the tape with him
  14. :music: Happy Birthday Cassie :music: Hope you are having a Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Birthday

  16. I know I'm really late. But not to late to say: :music: Happy Birthday Matt :music: Hope the day was great and there is many more in the upcoming year
  17. :music: Happy Birthday Krista :music: I can't believe how great your figure is less than a month after having twins Enjoy
  18. Who's Matt Good to know for the upcoming bibliography on TetRefine
  19. Well her it is Jan. 1st and we have eclipsed another year of many chapters of Cicumnavigation. I know CJ said we'd have a chapter on Dec 31st, 38th, and 45th and I haven seen a chapter yet. Now some of you may e worried CJ might be refusing to post in 2013 due to now being eligible again for the CJ Memorial King Of Cliffhanger Award but do not fret..... Our goat has a weeknes that I should let you all know about. Tequila. Yes are goat has been know to wild and crazy things while guzzling the nectar of the Agava plant. He sometimes dances, sometimes he writes. There was the one incident that we don't speak about with the shotgun and he swore he saw Talonrider circling in the sky and he used up all his ammo shooting in the sky at an imaginary figure. Whatever hijinx he got up to this year I'm sure we will see the chapter as soon as he sobers up.
  20. Nearly a 100 chapters and nearly a million word???? you must use the goat unabridged calender for counting too!! Good news CJ, after checking with the Leader of the Writer Support Team, any chaters posted after midnight tomorrow night are eligle for the 2013 King of Evil Cliffhangers Award. (and that is why a cowritten story including me wont post till next year, because we know you will win next years award hands down )
  21. So to Mike's earlier question..... Trevor has betrayed Julie and Bridget, but since they are the bad guys, I don't really care Bridget has betrayed Julie, as she warned her, if she had viewed the tape, she would pay. Julie did hold up her end of the bargain yet Bridget did decide to torture her and then kill her. Lastly, did anyone notice how CJ just ignored Grundig in this chapter and had Trevor calling his Uncle Greg and emailing with him rather than going to Grundig? The past few chapters have been all about phone security and maintaining the illusion that Greg was dead. Now ever so unannounced, Greg is back in the picture running everything and Grundig is not around. I haven't given up hope that Grundig is working with the bad guys . Either CJ planned it this way or it was a overlook that has fueled the fire of a conspiracy.
  22. Burrrrrrrp
  23. Snow and minus 20 C the past 3 days (-35C which is nearly -40F with the wind chill). It was nice, but cold. tons of snow the last 3 days as well in Calgary.
