I like to start a post for November 11th. It is Remembrance Day in Canada, Veteran's Day in the US, Armistice Day in Great Britain and I'm sure many other countries set aside this day to honour and respect the members of current and past military service who gave much, up to and including their lives, to defend and preserve the rights that we all hold dear. This is not to be politicized. It is meant to say a heartfelt Thank You for your service to your country in the highest way possible. We, in Canada, pause for two minutes of silence on the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month. It is a small amount of our time to remember. Having family members that have served, the following two items I'd like to share which means a lot to me. In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields. This poem was written by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae, a Canadian Doctor who served and wrote the poem while eulogizing a friend and noticed how the poppies grew on the graves of buried soldiers, one's who final resting spot would never be where they came from. It also is the poem behind the symbolic use of the poppies that most Commonwealth Nations wear in remembrance. Finally, please take a moment to watch this moving video/song that still chokes me up every time that I see it. Lest We Forget

I guess it is relevant to Shane and Trevor's first meeting. Question is, did you know that way back when they first met for Shane to head butt Trevor? I'm also glad that Gonzales and the FBI have finally realized that Bridget is alive and well and leading the operations out of the Bahama's. Also, it seems to be that they know the island that they are operating out of. I have said it before, but with Noriega and Bin Laden, I wouldn't put it past the US to get an International Drug Lord with or without the permission of the Bahamian Government.

So is anyone else missing pro hockey like me? Personally, it seems like the owners have conceded twice now and the players haven't given up anything and maybe asking for more. What is so hard about negotiating?

Well, after 13 chapters, I thought I better leave a comment So when I read CassieQ's review on the blog I hesitantly clicked on it because like others, sci fi wasn't my genre of choice. Well you captured me right away! Still so many questions are popping into my mind about so much. Does Shay have the ability to turn or purify other Sharplings? Does he have the ability to make others immortal too? Those are just a couple in the forefront of my mind. I must applaud you for the tale you have told so far over 13 chapters Your attention to detail has even a schmuck like me understanding the science of what is going on. The character development has been superb! After this chapter I wondered if Shay will permanently be nearly 15 years old, could he grow and develop? I think the answer is a resounding yes! I also believe it will be Mira that pushing him to do that into the future. I guess on a sad note, will Mira, Konstantin, Lily and Carlos all die while Shay continues to live on as a 14 year old? And yes, I'm still upset with you over killing Mira a few chapters back. Luckily you redeemed yourself and I'm over it Thanks for the story so far, and I will anxiously be waiting to read more. I don't want to be a spoil sport but I guess I'm equally guilty of thinking that the US government or military will get involved. I guess when I think logically, would the US military get involved in one citizen's endangerment from a Drug Lord (Bridget) ? I could see the DEA or Coast Gaurd having an interest, but their authority would really end outside of US Territorial waters. The Panama canal is not under the control of the US (even though they did go in and get Noriega out of Panama for drug charges in the US) but overall, would Trevor and to no extent Shane, even be on the radar of the US Navy or any branch of the Armed Services? The sad fact is that I don't think the US patrol ships patrolling off the coast of Somalia are there for private US citizens, but more for the large cargo, tanker traffic whose cargo and ships are in the millions of dollars. Sad to realize, but also a fact The more I think about it, I see two options. First is the tape is turned over to the authorities who then could turn their attention on the Cartel who would then turn their attention on Bridget and putting a stop to her nonsense, or for Trevor to find the transmitter and actually go south, around the tip of South America. But then again, the Goat has proven me wrong many times before

When I first read this I was then I started . How dare you suggest Shane and Lisa be killed off Great Chapter CJ Did the guys mention what they did with the tracking device upon Atlantis . Gray mentioned that he had just got a ping so that must mean that it is still aboard. I'm assuming the Bridget's band of merry men are departing for NZ about the same time that Trevor and Shane are parking (or is it mooring, damn nautical terms). If Trev and Shane leave the same night, I imagine they will be long gone from NZ by the time the goons get there. The thing is, what will they do with the tracking device? I may suggest putting it on a slow boat to China, as that would definitely throw Bridget and Gray for a loop. Oh, speaking of Gray, I have a feeling his contract and life is soon to be terminated by some visitors from the Bahama's via New Zealand.

He took a young me, he is very old (okay, only 2 months older than me ) and helped me out when I had questions. I do feel sorry for him having to deal with CJ In typical EMoe fashion he side stepped that question very gracefully I guess I didn't understand the explanation about his nick name. He said the first initial is E and the first 3 letters of his last name is Moe. But he said he dropped the E when he started coming out and went by Rick. Does this mean his first name is Erick Oh, now that I write it out, it makes sense I do enjoy all the authors that EMoe edits for. I'm sure most of the authors also see him as a major contributor to their works. For that I am thankful that they have found him!

I'm confused . I do believe that two bombs were planted on Kookabura hulls. You say Fowler only found one. Do you mean the other on Atlantis, or did they only find the one bomb on the one hull on Kookabura? I seem to recall that the US authorities didn't need permission to go into Pakistan to get Osama Bin Laden either

Great chapter CJ Yay Bonzer and Bluey Obviously they did a few things that the 'elders' probably wouldn't be able to do themselves. I guess credit does go to Fowler and the resources of the Australian Customs Service and now the Australian Navy as well for their involvement. I have to say that I'm so excited right now The fact that Fowler discovered and got rid of the bomb on Kookabura, now has heightened the grave danger that both Trevor and Shane are in. I don't foresee them leaving New Zealand without an entire sweep of Atlantis with a careful inspection of the mast and hull and every other nook and cranny. I'm sure with the Osprey (I believe that is what is was) knowing the digital signatures of the phones, they have tracked and got a lock on Gray's cell phone as well. I'm sure it won't be long before Gray is facing the full force of Australian law enforcement and forgetting about wondering when Bridget will be sending his money. Hopefully they are somehow able to trace the calls from and to Gray from his cell phone from Bridget and then the US Coast Guard/Military will take out Bridget before the guys even leave NZ. So many things are coming together, I'm giddy . At one point, I finally thought after 140 chapters that I had guessed something right. Last chapter I made this post. Unfortunately I thought Gray had the diver under his employ, but it was another officer that is on the sly, the one doing the boat search with forensics knowledge. At least we know there is crooked cops in Australia too. Close but no cigar Thanks again CJ!!!!

Yes, thanks Mike! Like I said, I know absolutely nothing about guns or their ammo. I can see the reason I'm confused too with some being metric and some being imperial as well. As far as the aught, I have heard it said in movies and such, but always thought they were saying odd. Never new there was a word 'aught' before. See, CJ's forum is educational as well (if you want to build nuclear bombs, learn about guns and ammo, and other like things )

Okay, so I'm embarrassed to ask this..since my dad was a sniper in the infantry and knows everything about guns. He never allowed me to hold a gun or shoot one until I was 18 and willing to take a course first. Funny thing is I've never been interested guns and have limited knowledge. In the story, I believe you mentioned the gun as a 30-06. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this pronounced as a thirty odd six? If so, what exactly does that mean? I do believe a .22 refers to the bullet being 22 millimeters in diameter. So does that mean the 30-06 is 36 mm in diameter? If so, why not be a .36? Just curious
