This appears to be CJ speak for 'I got a huge cliffhanger coming your way. You'll understand why I won't be able to keep you in suspense for a long period of time...' It's okay CJ, with everything going on I have no problem waiting the extra time to be bedazzled by a whopper of a cliffy

I do believe that the problem is that CJ had not converted all of his stories over to GA Stories as of yet and was still having them available through his own personal webpage: http://cjames.gayaut...nes/cliff48.php I don't want to speak like I know what I'm talking about , but with the cjames.gayauthors.org I believe that was no longer supported by the current system that GA Stories is now. On top of that, I do believe CJ is in the process of making a new computer so any back up he has of his personal page may be unreachable at the moment. I would suggest patience and understanding for now while CJ tackles making his new computer, writing for Circumnavigation and trying to recoup after the site hack. Besides, I would imagine it is time consuming to click out all that with on two front hooves to use

Sort of like at a staff birthday gathering a while back when a male co worker said to the female one that was celeberating her 35 birthday...'So, 35th Birthday, you haven't aged well, you look like crap' Not recommended in front of a group of coworkers. Personally I think it is more a matter of men knowing when to open their mouths and knowing when to keep them shut. Feeling the wrath of not answering 'Do these jeans make me look fat?' is much less than saying yes, or saying no when both her and you know they do.

Whew, so my Flames don't suck as bad as I thought

I was joking about the 7 game football series It was more into the relationship of all the hitting and cheap shots in the NHL playoffs this year. I think one game of hockey is about a game equivalent of football right now I wouldn't be surprised if my beloved Flames were the fastest exiting President's Trophy winners. I think they had the one year where they were out the first round after winning it. Then again, you may be wondering if Pittsburgh had the most goals in a playoff game with 10, unfortunately the LA Kings have the record when the scored 12 goals against my Flames in 1990 in one game

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/gay-activist-killed-assault-halifax-police-suspect-custody-182006831.html Unfortunately a main Gay Activist in Halifax was killed outside a gay bar last night in a brutal beating. He was killed by a man who was on a one hour pass from a psychiatric hospital. I don't want to make this political in any way, please. I just want to pay respect to someone who did a lot for the LGBT community in Halifax and has left much too early

Well that ends the chances of anyone getting swept Some stats I heard on the radio today....Only 3 teams in the history of the seven game playoff format have ever won after being down 3-0. One team in baseball, and none in basketball. So never say never! BTW, doesn't anyone else think that a best of seven series would be great in professional football? Football, Hockey and Basketball are all 60 minutes games. Not sure about how much time the ball is actually in play in baseball. Lot of crotch grabbing, spitting, warm up swings, lead offs from the bases

Circumnavigation (99+19) Assumptions are Dangerous Things
wildone replied to C James's topic in C James Fan Club's Topics
I'm confused...what is it to assume, Benji? Just a quick post to thank CJ for another great chapter Hopefully have time to post some more later -
And no Krista......... I had all your picks saved on my computer

So all entries are in now. No more changes allowed. I have two emailed in entries and they will be posted for their points only. I always play but I don't get a chance to win. Here is what I picked ahead of time and no changes to my original selection: 1st Round East: New York, Boston, Florida, Philadelphia West: St. Louis, Nashville, Chicago, Los Angeles 2nd Round East: Boston, Philadelphia West: St. Louis, Chicago 3rd Round East: Philadelphia West: St. Louis Stanley Cup Champs: St. Louis Blues in seven games Thanks for everyone to enter, without my guesses, we have 15 players including one gurl

And to answer your question, NO, nobody has taken off their skates to bludgeon another player I agree with Tet here, fighting is not the usual in the playoffs. If you did happen to see the Pittsburgh/Philadelphia game today that is something you used to see 20 years ago, but now with the increase discipline four or five players may be sitting out Game 4 due to their antics. One thing to keep in mind also, usually in the regular season you are playing a different team every night. You may see the same team twice in a one week span but playoffs find you facing off against the same team 4, 5, 6 or 7 times in as little as 14 nights. It isn't hard to imagine that tempers flare up after so many games against the same team. This also a reason that some teams can do so great in the Regular season and come up flat in the playoffs. Only one competitor to face instead of a new one every second or third night.

Tonight!!! Jersey and the Panthers will have their second game done in about 4 hours, but as a bonus you will be able to change till Midnight tonight, which means we will know the outcome of the Vancouver/LA game as well. Edit to Add: that is if the Vancouver/LA game doesn't take a turn like the just finished Philly/Penguins game. Wow, that was a lot of fighting So I guess to clarify, 12:00 AM MDT is the cut off.
-
Remember, a little more than 24 hours to make any edits to your picks!!! Is something surprising you? Were you expecting what has happened so far? Should you stay with your initial pick or do you tweek it and hope that your first guess was wrong? Actually this may make things more interesting The three series that will have 3 games done by Sunday are: Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Philadelphia Flyers Vancouver Canucks vs. Los Angeles Kings Phoenix Coyotes vs. Detroit Red Wings So looks like this may be beneficial in two of the 3 series

Sadly Connor, you are wrong. People here have a warped sense of 'loyalty' that they have to cheer for Vancouver or Ottawa in the playoffs. I personally don't fall under this delusion. Let me ask you though, let's say you move to Calgary, Toronto, or LA.. would you still be a Canucks fan? If it was LA and they were out, where is written that you would have to then cheer for San Jose because they are also in California. It amazes me that anyone would think because I'm Canadian that I should support either Toronto or Vancouver because of my nationality. It has nothing to do with citizenship. I dislike Toronto the most in the NHL, and Vancouver the second most. I'm not afraid to say it. Unfortunately Toronto isn't in the playoffs for you, only because then there would be another team to take my dislike factor away from your beloved team. Lastly, I really don't see how stating the President Trophy winners are down 2 games after 2 games should be taken offense to. You must be flooding all the media across the world and holding everyone accountable of stating this fact. 'How dare they!!!'

Shouldn't have to post this, but I guess I have to: I have removed myself from any moderation of this topic. I have put forth to the Forum Moderation Team and Administration that I shall be not considered a moderator in only this topic. If I say something that you feel is offensive or report worthy, or anyone else does, then please use the report button at the bottom of any post. I will not weigh in with the Forum Moderation Team on any discussion on this topic. Hopefully this will make me as accountable as everyone else or more, when we post about who we like and don't like in the playoffs. Sorry that this had to be posted but just want to cover all basis. Please do remember that the whole idea of this is to have fun, so let's have fun.

The President Cup winners are down by 2 games after 2 games!

Saw on the news tonight that the driver did indeed suffer a heart attack. Even though the kids didn't do palpitations for long, it was enough to keep blood flowing until the paramedics shortly arrived. The driver will be okay according to doctors. Absolutely amazing kids

Okay, the NHL is being difficult this year.... Usually you can pick a day when all teams would have 2 games in, but not 3. So as an advantage, anyone can go in and edit their picks up to Midnight on 16th. That is the start of Monday morning Some teams will have 3 games under their belt, so please use this to your advantage. After the Sunday nights games, I will print off everyone's entries so no more changes can be made. Let the games begin!!!! :D

So seems there is enough interest in the playoff pool, so here we go. First a few basic rules: There will be one winner at the end of the 2012 Stanley Cup Hockey Playoffs. The winner is entitled to a six month Premium GA membership, paid by me . If the winner is already a Paid Member, they can extend their membership, or in the case of a Hosted Author, Moderator/Administrator, or even a member who isn't interested in the membership, they can donate the monies to the operation of GA on their behalf. This is for fun. There is no entry fee, thus taking away the gambling. If you're a member here at GA, you are eligible to enter. I'm sure there is ways to get around the rules, but hey, let’s just concentrate on the fun. The winner will be the person with the most points out of a possible 65. Each series winner is worth 5 points. In case of a tie, there will be an unbiased draw from the possible winners to decide the final winner. Each round is a best of seven game series. I don't need to know how many games the series will be won in as that would make things complicated. Round one series are: East (1) New York Rangers vs. (8) Ottawa Senators (2) Boston Bruins vs. (7) Washington Capitals (3) Florida Panthers vs. (6) New Jersey Devils (4) Pittsburgh Penguins vs. (5) Philadelphia Flyers West (1) Vancouver Canucks vs. (8) Los Angeles Kings (2) St. Louis Blues vs. (7) San Jose Sharks (3) Phoenix Coyotes vs. (6) Chicago Blackhawks (4) Nashville Predators vs. (5) Detroit Red Wings I’ll let one of the experienced guys enter their picks so you all can see how to put them in. One question, since Trevor seems to have this Forum named after him, where is his acknowledgement that he is participating . Let's have fun and continue to talk the pool up. The more people that join, the more fun it will be . I hope we have some female entries as well as some people who don’t follow hockey.

Benji, What is the right time? Really... Maybe it is your time now because of the loose lips five years ago. I'd say if you don't want to go to the reunion, then don't. If they can't take a look at you and see that you married, stayed honest to the relationship, raised kids, going to be a grandfather as well as still taking care of your wife even though you may not identify with yourself as hetro anymore, then lets be blunt, screw them. You have made the choices you have made, you have suffered and enjoyed the consequences of those decisions and now you are worried about what some people you went to school with a 1/4 century ago think about you? Continue to live you life the way you see is fit and let the pieces fall where they do. After all, you are Bengi

I know Bettman is still pissed that he had to move Atlanta to Winnipeg. He was backed in a corner and he is still hell bent on making the NHL viable in the South. I think Winnipeg was lucky to get the Thrashers myself, because Bettman was so against it. Even against the Board of Governors he was a loan wolf against another Canadian team. I think Seattle does have a better chance without an arena then Q.C. does with one. The one thing he does have on his side, the players. They showed they weren't in favour of the Winnipeg addition by voting down league realignment. I won't hold my breath.

Circumnavigation (99+17) Conspiracies
wildone replied to C James's topic in C James Fan Club's Topics
Well Shane did mention that Nate and his merry band of rats were around, so might be an excuse to get a gun So was Gonzales on purpose being a fish out of water? It seemed to be his objective to piss off the local constabulary and get a meeting with the DEA liaison who I think might be a bit crooked himself. If that is the case, hasn't he just announced his presence to the the Cartel as well as Bridget? With all the bodies piling up in another one of CJ's mass murder plots (wait, no mention of a nuclear bomb yet ), I have a feeling Billy new looks aren't fro Billy's advantage, I'd suspect that he has had his face altered to make him look like someone the Cartel wants to assumed dead. Also surprised that Mr.B hasn't turned on the TV and check in on the happenings of Nate's boat yard yet. I imagine with the change of plans, the Federal Police and the Customs Service may tire of waiting for him to show up again. Just some thoughts that popped into my head Thanks for the chapter CJ. I'm looking for a cliffhanger and I'm sure I'll find one. Wait....what is Shane going to do with Whiskey and Carrots -
Circumnavigation on hold for about a week! Sorry!
wildone replied to C James's topic in C James Fan Club's Topics
**Sigh** Here we are on the eve of another chapter posting and since we didn't have the cliffhanger de la semaine (cliffhanger of the week) CJ has decided to keep us even hanging more No chapter title for this week Unless it is 'It originally stunk' -
