That's ok... I watched Elf for the first time yesterday

I've had a nice day so far. I videochatted with my BFF and we opened our prezzies. I made a ham and swiss quiche for lunch and it came out great My mom really liked it too. We exchanged our prezzies too. She got me some little figurines and a couple of gift certs. I got her some Dove chocolate and lottery scratchers. After lunch, we chatted with my brother and nieces and nephew while they opened their presents. Now we're watching Harry Potter and watching the snow fall. We got about 4-5" overnight and now we're getting the second round. I hope everyone's having a great day

I had a really nice evening with my mom. We had the soup, cheese and pepperoni, and I brought the cookies and fudge I made to snack on. We watched Elf and Jack Frost. I had a wonderful surprise from my aunt. There was a card from her at my mom's and I figured she just gave it to her to save on postage. Well I picked it up and it was really heavy and thick. My mom said she got this really neat card that folds into a winter house, so I figured that's what it was.... nope. I opened it to find several gift cards to the local grocery store... enough for me to buy groceries for a couple of weeks. *sniff sniff*

Well I didn't get as much done today as I had hoped, but I managed to make the soup for tonight's dinner without burning it this time I got a little bit of housecleaning done for tomorrow, but I had an IBS attack today so spent more time resting than I wanted to. Oh well...the house will be tidy enough after I run a vacuum through it. I'll take a shower in a bit, then head over to my mom's for the rest of the day. I should be home before it starts snowing. It wouldn't be 2020 without throwing in a nice lake effect snow storm on Christmas.

I really like Irene. She's not afraid to tell it like it is, and I like how she has Rick's back. I think Rita has met her match. I can't wait to see how it all plays out. And we have confirmation about who bought Cedarcrest, so hopefully this means Gus will be spending a lot more time here instead of Chicago

Christmas definitely looks a lot different this year, that's for sure. I could relate to only partially decorating the tree. I did the same with mine, although I do plug the lights in every day. I'm thankful to at least be spending the day with my mom, but that may change since we're supposed to get hammered with a lake effect snow storm. Just know that we're all here with you virtually to celebrate our friendship. And hopefully next year will dawn brighter. -

I picked the perfect time to do my dishes tonight. My kitchen window above the sink looks out to the street I live on. A car drove down my street, all decked out in Christmas lights, blaring Christmas music. The people inside were dressed in Santa outfits (at least the ones I could see... it was dark out) and waved at everyone as they drove slowly by, honking and and yelling "Merry Christmas". It was actually really nice to see It warmed my heart they went to the trouble to make other people feel better.
