The fly is still travelling at 55 mph, even if it's sitting still because it's in a vehicle moving that fast. Same with the human driving the car. Although apparently that's wrong. This is why I went into a language-related field with very little math!
The guy feeds them every night, which is why they're so fat. He's been doing it for twenty years. I don't think there's an overpopulation. He feeds a couple of dozen, which wouldn't be unusual to find in the woods. I'd rather see him feeding him things that are more natural for raccoons. He feeds them things like hot dogs and pizza, but also feeds them grapes and other fruit too.

Joker gets his Miralax in tuna juice every night. He loves it. He's a barfer, no matter what I feed him, but it's gotten a lot better since he's been on the Miralax.
Mine prefer their dry food over wet food. I was giving them a small can of wet food every evening, but I ended up throwing so much of it out, I only give them 1/4 can now.
They are adorable, but they're also quite pesky. I went camping once in an area where the raccoons were fed too much by people and the little shits were such a nuisance they actually drove me and my friend into the cabin! We were trying to make s'mores and the raccoons kept stealing the marshmallows. We ended up toasting the marshmallows over the flame of the stove inside. So we had marshmallows that tasted like propane
