Another great chapter. Cesar's and Brett's group of friends welcomed CJ as a member or the group and adopted him as a mascot. The immediate impact was putting CJ back together after being shattered by his stepdad and mom kicking him out. Now we can see the long-term impact in how easily CJ acts with older and wiser men and women, and he knows how to be mentored by them.

I thought playing golf has become a required skill, or at least photo op, for modern day Presidents.
-
But CJ needs to keep his wits sharp. Some seemingly helpful older individuals but not have CJ's well-being at heart, especially the more well-known and higher status he gets.
-
"Aussie"?? Does Ozzie have a new nickname?
-
I don't remember CJ being that way as a 15 yo. (Of course, my memory ain't all the reliable.) His dads' crew (what were they called?) ganged up to pull him out of his shell. Even at Walls, it was Harley who exploded on CJ the first day of school rather than the other way around.

Sounds good to me.

Natalie did not do well by Jurgen nor by Calum. Come on, of course neither one would notice the other if CJ is in the room. Sheesh, whatever was she thinking?!?!?

I'm not so sure that convicting Bruce is a slam dunk, especially if Bruce hires a good lawyer. The motel register at most shows a gay sexual relationship. That it was rape is Tom's word against Bruce's. Bruce's lawyer might argue that given that Tom has been known as gay since his teens, there's no way he wasn't willingly having six with Bruce for twenty years. In fact, he pleaded with Bruce to sodomize him, even resorting to blackmail Bruce with threats to expose Bruce. Etc., etc. In this rural area, gays are anathema (e.g., the father pulling his son away). There won't be any sympathy for Tom, who after all is the "woman" in the sexual activities. And certainly no understanding of what it is to live in the closet.

Heart-warming story. Part of me wants more closure for the ending, but what you did is more realistic and consistent with the rest of the story --- to leave us with the start of Ridley's journey of returning to being fully present and alive.

Interesting chapter.

A great chapter, with a lot of info to download. The comments make up a bonus chapter full of exciting action.😁 Based on what Silas told Ben, the 'Reappearance of the Six Sentinels' would happen only for a potential worldwide multi-species conflict. Probably for a much larger shitstorm than what Reilly's dad has created in Idaho. I think the real battle (in chapters 35-40?) will be centered in Germany, with whoever or whatever is manipulating the High Council. It hope the Magnificent Six don't shift while in Germany. Their markings are very distinctive and it would be wise to not let the evil enemy know quite so soon that the Sentinels are back in town. Alas, kbois seems to enjoy it when her characters act unwisely.😉

As part of their medical training, psychiatrists undergo therapy themselves. One would hope that this would screen out sociopaths like Bruce. But obviously that wasn't the case. It's scary and sad that he's not the only predator in protected positions of power, as we've seen over the past few years thanks to the courageous women and men in the me too movement.

Hooray! Thiago's story. Next June. I can hardly wait!

What dedication! What a great work ethic! Going above and beyond to ensure the accuracy of what you write! What you endure for the benefit of your readers!
-
Yay, celebrating Juneteenth.

I hope that date doesn't keep slipping like the NASA launches are.

The results of study after study is that older folks (70+) are happier than younger folks. I'm almost twenty years older than you, Bruce, and I can attest to truth of that. My body my have more aches and limitations, but the mental & emotional shit of life just keeps on falling away. It just keeps getting better.

I went and reread that chapter. Every one of the conversations was a bullseye. It was a beautiful mosaic of who Ceej was and the variety of people in his life already at high school graduation age. My favorite is Brad thanking CJ for helping him turn his life around. I'd forgotten Ozzie being jealous/insecure back then: they are so secure in their relationship now. That chapter is a prime example of your earlier comment about having many straight people in your stories.

Oooh boy. Men in tights!

That makes your stories richer, more powerful and more interesting. One of the highlights of this chapter is the black marine awakening to the bullshit of homophobia.

Another great chapter. I, too, forget what day of the week it is so am surprised every time to see another Hazday chapter. I'd totally lose track of time if you ever stopped writing stories. My favorite line in this chapter is: The man needs a little peanut butter to go with his jelly. Sounds like an old Bessie Smith song.

It's sad that Northman doesn't have a friend in his life, someone who can compassionately listen to him, understand him, and then ground and calm him, the way Ozzie does for CJ.

Wow! Masterful dribbling with the basketball metaphor, and score: it's another three-pointer.

Another great chapter. But Ridley is giving me whiplash. I hope his emotional wall keeps coming down, so he can connect with people again and with the loving person he is capable of being. I think his father is the one who can support in that, give him permission to heal and move on with life. Thanks for your excellent story telling.
