I read a news report this week that so many rich foreign tourists to the resorts in this area demand resort staff buy them cocaine that it's become such a lucrative business that rival drug cartels are shooting at one another on the beaches and from boats.

    Chapter 8

Thank you, Danilo. I forgot, Ben's name was Ruben. Now the four new heroes match each of the Sentinels. Some authors will tell all about a character in one info dump when you first meet them. On the other hand, kbois doles out the info in bits and pieces throughout the story, which is much more like how it is in real life. It feels like a treasure hunt when I want to find some factoid I don't quite remember about a character, adding another layer to my enjoyment of the story.

    Chapter 8

Rosalie pointed out that the names of the four East Coast men are extremely similar to those of Sentinels. (Expecially Jaeger, which means Hunter in German.) Zev/Xev is another close name match. However, the names Ben and Rou don't seem at all similar. It seems @kbois pretty much let us know up front that Ben will become a shifter by giving him the last name of Marrock. Sir Marrock was one of King Arthur's knights, whose his wife turned him into a werewolf for seven years.

And next year is only a few days away!!! Thanks for the coming attractions you've been sneaking into your comments.

I found only one of your travelogues to be disappointing. That was when Ritch was in Alaska. The dude photographed Anchorage's non-existent skyline!?!?!? Then he flew right by breath-takingly beautiful 20,000+ foot Denali/Mt. McKinley without a mention. (He was doing touch-and-goes between Anchorage and Fairbanks, which meant flying at low level though Broad Pass, which is just east of Denali.)

When I was in the Air Force, I was shocked to find families that had been stationed overseas, in countries I would have loved to visit, yet they had never left the base while stationed in those countries. How unfortunate for their kids.

Thank you for this delightful chapter, Carlos. I usually get bored with vacation slide shows and travelogues (zzzz). This chapter one is so smooth- like listening to Nat King Cole or Ella Fitzgerald- that I feel like I'm lazing on a beach and people watching. I've been missing family lately, not getting to visit them because of concerns about traveling. To my surprise, I've noticed over the past couple of weeks that I am part of several created families. While reading several chapters of CDMX in a row today, and reading all the comments and the reactions to the comments and the back and forth comments about comments ---- it suddenly dawned on me that the Gay Authors community, and especially the Hazday clan, is one of the created families I'm part of in a very tangible way. Thank you and Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year to each of you.

Another wonderful chapter. I had a busy day yesterday, so didn't get to read this chapter. Which turned out to be a blessing in disguise because today I get to reread Chapter VII and read VIII and IX, all in one sitting. And it seems my prediction of a 4-chapter weekend was spot on. Thank you very, very, very much, Carlos. I wonder what you'll cook up for us for New Year's weekend.

Whew! I couldn't remember whether the Dad's trip to Mexico was mentioned in any of your other stories (Malibu, Cadet, etc. -- I'm so glad you have all those spreadsheets so you don't lose track, Carlos). As I read this chapter, I began to tense up with worry that the school computer center opening would be the event that precipitated CJ, Ozzie, Liebe and Linc's emergency exit from Mexico. Whatever happened was serious enough to make the news and for the Air Force to pull Ritch out of class at the A.F. Academy and rush him home to DC. That much was in Cadet, but you didn't give us any details. And you're still making us wait for that hammer to drop. Bah, humbug.) I relaxed when I read your comment that "[t]he dads' visit will definitely be enjoyable." So I take back the "bah, humbug."

Great chapter Carlos, and a pleasant surprise. Each week, I read many chapters in different stories and GA and other sites. Plus I'm usually reading a SF or fantasy novel. As a result, when one of your chapters shows up, I've literally forgotten how good your writing is. Each week I'm blown away anew with the brilliance and expertise you bring to your writing. Thank you, Carlos, for giving joy to so many readers.

So an extra chapter today as an early Xmas Eve present. Then the regular Friday one tomorrow. Undoubtedly, Carlos will bless us with a chapter on Saturday for Xmas Day. And another one Sunday for Boxing Day. A four chapter weekend, what a great time we'll all have! 🙏🙏🙏

    A & L Chapter 4

I'm sad that you chose to use the word "Arab" as a racist insult. It was not necessary for the story.

    Chapter 5

Another great chapter. The whole shifter thing in stories doesn't really excite me. It's only when it's part of a really good story, really well-written, with interesting fully-realized characters, then I enjoy the added element of the shifter culture. That said, you can bet I'm hooked on this story. Outstanding plotting and writing, and every single person we've met so far it an interesting person. Both strands of your story have totally pulled me in. In fact, this second sub-plot is so good, I'm happy to wait as long as you take to blend the first one back in. I'm sure it will be like magic when you mix them together. Of course, I shouldn't assume you'll stick with only two sub-plots, now should I?😁

    Chapter 55

Ann Marie has a different doctor from Mom's. Whether or not "Doc" appearance has changed, AM hasn't seen him, so didn't freak out about him. Even if Doc wasn't one of the boys who raped AM, I would think he had an ethical responsibility to let Mom know up front that he'd gone to high school with her daughter, so she could choose another doctor before working with him

    Chapter 54

Thanks, Christopher. I do find it hard to follow sometimes, when different characters having the same name in a story. Especially in this chapter, where Dad and Mom are mentioned in a paragraph, then just a few paragraphs later it's Dad and Mom again, only it's different people.

    Chapter 54

Wow! What a surprise that Tim and Mom got along so well. Mom's therapy has made a huge difference.

    Chapter 53

That's not likely to happen. Any trial would include Anne Marie testifying -- and being subjected to the defense attorney's attacks on her character, dress, accusations of lying and being the sexual aggressor (implications of having been a slut), how come she waited 15+ years, etc. With the lack of physical proof, it would be Anne Marie's word against those of the three boys-now-men, who possibly are now powerful or well-respected and with their own families. It would reliving the nightmare of the rape for Ann Marie and might send her back into psychosis.

    Chapter 52

It is commendable that you are addressing the serious repercussions of rape on both women who have been raped and on their entire family. And written in a way that we can relate to each of the people involved. I'm in my late seventies and have been surprised at how many friends and acquaintances have shared that they had been sexually assaulted. (A few men, but mostly women.) The emotional trauma was still being felt years later. Most of my women friends, including those who hadn't experienced sexual assault, have shared about their fear of being attacked as they move through the world. I remember the day I realized that, consistently, if I happened to be walking on the same side of the street as a woman ahead of me, her body visibly shifted into alert mode. I decided that, as a six-foot man living in this kind of world, I had a responsibility to active to allay that fear. I made it a habit to cross to the other side of the street well before I got close to any woman walking ahead of me. It is sad that women, for their own safety, need to be on guard so much of the time. it has a huge emotional impact.

I completely forgot. How sweet that you and Ritch think of Raish as one of Liebe's siblings. Then again, in HTTC Liebe treats all the younger kids like she's their bossy older sister (sweet, cute - and bossy). I really enjoyed going back and reading the chapter you referred to in Cadet. Your writing is so good that I reread any of it with full enjoyment.

Every time readers and you mention "pillow talk," what pops into my head is Doris Day and Rock Hudson. Funny how there weren't any hands moving south in any of their movies. Doris was the epitome of innocence and Rock was totally straight, hee hee.
