    Chapter 5

    Sweet.

    Chapter 4

I wonder how Banksy manage gets paid for the art he sells (like the 1.04 million pounds high bid paid at a Sotheby's auction in 2018), since nobody knows his real name.

    Chapter 4

They could have "Arrow" be the name of his business, and open a business account.

    Chapter 9

At last, some excitement and tension after a long calm period in their lives. Not so enjoyable for them, but more fun for us readers. Now we can settle in for the quiet period after the (literal) storm. @Andre Delport, in every other naval-themed book I've read or movie I've seen, if a hurricane-typhoon-cyclone is approaching, every ship and larger boat heads out to sea. Being in port is the most dangerous place for them. Is that just a myth?

    Where's Loren?

@kbois, are you sure you're talking about Loe? Your description sounds like Matt.🙄

    Where's Loren?

I'm surprised photos of Garrett's bare ass weren't viral on Instagram.

    Where's Loren?

@Mrsgnomie, are you going to let us know what's been going on with Loren over the past nine months? I bet his friends kept him updated on Jay's bar appearances. I wouldn't put it past them to have pumped Randy for info about when Jay showed up on days the gang wasn't there. Was Loe also being very patient, playing his own long game? To be as successful an entrepreneur as he is, he's got to be competitive and focused like Jay.

    Chapter 3

    Enjoyable chapter.
  9. Great first chapter. I'm also going to go and reread Boss Nanny. Funny thing is I didn't recognize your name while your many comments in Spirit Wolves. What a pleasant surprise that you're the creator of BN, which I enjoyed immensely. I'm looking forward to the rest of this JayLoe story.

Another delightful chapter. What a wonderful, loving family. The highlight was Aba horseback riding and snowmobiling. We've mostly seen her only caretaking; it's great to be reminded how healthy and vital she is -- seventy is the new forty. It was also great to see Melissa again. I love her, she's down-to-earth and such a character, fitting right in with the family. When you put Melissa alongside dick of a brother (Ritch's dad/CJ's stepdad), it's a reminder that neither Nature (genetics) nor Nurture (upbringing) are enough to explain a person's personality.

Thanks, Carlos, for the surprise bonus chapter. It's right in line with the Davenport/Abello family's patriotism that you honor President's Day. Even though Geoge Washington is not on the Liebe's favorites list. It was a sweet chapter. I enjoyed visiting with old friends again.

I'd never heard/seen the word "jobsworth" before. Thank you, @Howzat for introducing me to such a great Brit word. I can hardly wait for an opportunity to use it.

    Evening Out

Very interesting and informative chapter. Surprises galore. Sad to hear Ben trashed in the service of bigotry and political philosophy by people who ignore the facts. I appreciate how you keep a light on the effect of class differences on Eric. His friends and supporters are often oblivious to this. (Emily's saying, “There's a very decent Rioja, and a Sauvignon blanc my husband swears by,” baffles me as much as it did Eric.)
  15. That was fun. Thanks, Carlos. "this one’s by St. Paul and the Broken Bones. And get this, they’re a bunch of white dudes!” Ritch, Ritch, Ritch, not all the dudes were white.
  16. Thank you for the link. The photos are awesome (inducing awe).

    Chapter 26

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. For an engrossing, fun, challenging (in a good way) story. Great characters, fully-drawn. A perfect ending, especially the promise of more to come.

    Friday

The size of your canvas keeps increasing, and what the characters represent are becoming clearer, it's almost breathtaking. Felicity and Eric are like twins, people of a similar age, whose true selves, joy, and passions were repressed by society, family and convention. Each is now slowly stepping out from the shadows to the sunshine. Ben, who seemed like a throwaway character at the start of the chapter, another layer to your exploration of modern gay life: the young queer who refuses to be put in a box (gay, straight, etc.), who isn't hesitant to let you know, and who is not afraid to stand up to bullies. (“Yeah, I'm queer. Not that it's any of your fucking business. For your information, I'm pan-sexual. You know, willing to take anyone and everyone on their merits.”) Ben is the opposite end of the pendulum from Eric.

    Erupt Ch 13

An interesting chapter. BTW, the second eruption at 6.7 was weaker rather than stronger than the first 6.8 one.

    Chapter 25

Yesterday I started catching up on GA stories after a week focused elsewhere. Wow! What a powerful ending to the story, full of many surprises and our heroes overcoming against overwhelming odds. This chapter goes a long way towards bringing closure; I eagerly await the last chapter. The whip cream and cherry on top is your promise of more stories in this universe. 🤸‍♂️🤸‍♂️
  21. That was a l-o-n-g cliffhanger from the second book to this one. Hooray that you're continuing the story and that it'll be a long one. Looking forward to every chapter and all the mischief you'll create for us.

    Growing Up

Marriage over the ages has often been like a business contract, here on Earth as well as Pern. That's what dowries were about, land ownership, gathering allies.

    Growing Up

Unfortunately, it won't be soon, given the timeline in other stories for when Jevikel and his boyfriend arrive at Benden Weyr, barely escaping being eaten by thread.
  24. Great chapter. Nice pleasant reading after the nastiness in the previous one. Bring on the rest of the family & friends.

    Chapter 22

Welcome back, @kbois. Hope you're feeling good today, without a hangover.
