    Chapter 5

A surprising turn of events!!!! How will Davey get out of this situation?

    Chapter 4

I just discovered this story on GA site. I'm enjoying Redux better than the first Do Over, which was confusing at times. That's probably because Davey is not as confused as the first time around while he was learning how to deal with a totally new experience of the do over. Also, he came over this time from being a Navy Captain rather than a sergeant, so is starting out in a more powerful mind and personality. Davey needs to listen to the advice he gave his dad and adjust his love life thinking . He's already made major changes to this timeline, which have likely had affects in Modesto and possibly Brian's future. It's time for him to stop focusing on the Brian from previous timelines.

    Chapter 8

It was a joke on both boys parts, but it is also quite sweet. However, who knows, maybe once the joking part wears off for the boys, they and their parents will decide to on something less confusing.

    Chapter 8

When Scott says "Dad" I don't know who he's talking about, his own father or Scott's. It's quite confusing. I hope the boys come up with distinguishing nicknames for their fathers and mothers.
  5. I was thinking of his coded racism & sexism & anti-transgender and that of his followers.
  6. Good point. You may be strongly anti-homophobia/sexism/racism/et al, yet not get in your bones how pervasive and impactful these are on people. Until someone you know tells you how it is for them, or (nowadays) see it in action on the news. My first such wake-up was in my thirties around sexism, when I found out how many of my women friends had been raped.
  7. As demonstrated by the past five years and what's still going on.
  8. Great chapter. @duhglas captured most of what I wanted to say, although he was more polite than would have been about the "subtle" tease. "Maybe his view of the gay community and the potential danger its members faced, was colored by the type of men surrounding him while growing up." It sounds like CJ & the dads never told Ritch about CJ's teens experiences at 15 or 16 with homophobes in the DC area. Like CJ's fight with the motorcycle dude or CJ, while out jogging, being falsely arrested for "soliciting" a police officer.

    Chapter 22

In your brilliant hands, this chapter was not at all fluff. The recent scenes of Rushi and of Baiza, showed the motivations that led to their evil actions. Today's two chapters were about love and honor, and the fierce actions that arise and will arise from them. Rushi and Baiza and Revi are doomed, doomed, doomed.
  10. So you were looking at the designer underwear sites as research for a story, right? And just happened to notice the ass-less briefs?
  11. Almost gave me a heart attach with that one.
  12. Ritch is going to name his son Falcon (in Hail to the Chief), which is a hoot to name his kid after his school's mascot. What nickname can the kid have? Falcky?
  13. Yes, yes, tell us about CJ, Owen, and Liebe in Mexico city first!!! Talk about a cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers; it's been almost two years now since you referred to "the incident in Mexico City" at the end of the original CJ series without even a hint as to what the incident was. It's time to spill the beans. I'm loving this stories and all the interesting characters you've added to the stew -- yum, it's very spicy and delicious.
  14. You've let us know CJ will be elected president in 20 years. So he & Owen must not have gone too wild while enjoying their downtime or the photos would have surfaced during one of CJ's political campaigns.
  15. You've over-the-top succeeded in that goal. It's heart-warming.
  16. I was struck by this sentence on rereading this chapter: “I’ve been doing a little tax planning, and Brett and I decided to make some ownership changes. We’re creating real estate trusts to hold each of our places and giving Ritch and CJ a one-third stake in them." It illustrates once again how totally Brett and Cesar consider Ritch to be their son. No favoritism of any kind towards the blood son over the adopted son. If only that equal love was the case in all mixed families.

    Chapter 32

Now that Amalie will be living at the farm, I look forward to getting to know her. So far we haven't been privy to her personality, to hear her interacting with Tony, the boys, etc, and what about her that Tony fell in love with besides her beauty. It's in seeing people in the nitty-gritty of life that we get to know them. I can hardly wait to see the intimacy, as well as the challenges to come, to see in what ways their love blooms.

    Chapter 28

A very enjoyable story, peopled by such interesting characters. And a perfect place to end. I can see everybody dancing and ululating on stage being the finale number in the musical version of "Never Walk Alone."

    Chapter 28

You can buy dandelion greens in the spring in a grocery store not far from where I live (Oakland/Berkeley, CA). A few restaurants, including some of the fancier ones, include them in salads. On the other hand, it's hard to find a good Italian restaurant and then they're very expensive, not like the ones in every neighborhood when I was growing up in Brooklyn.

    Chapter 27

Brad's mom had just found her husband's body laying in a pool of blood. I can't imagine how I'd react in such circumstances. She was literally out of her mind with shock and grief. People are beyond rational thinking at such times, reaching for anyone to blame for such a sudden violent loss, anyway that will ease that pain. After time -- especially now that her husband is no longer around spouting his bigoted hate -- she may well soften towards Brad. I very much hope that's the way the story ends up going, it would be so healing for Brad.

    Chapter 24

The Farm's chickens are truly what I think of as free-range. However, not all chickens that are legally advertised as "Free-range" do get to range freely. V From the Food & Water Watch website, “Free range” labels are regulated by the USDA only for poultry produced for meat – it’s not regulated for pigs, cattle or egg-producing chickens. Nor are the requirements very high: poultry can use the label if the chicken had any access to the outdoors each day for some unspecified period of time; it could be just a few minutes, and does not assure that the animal ever actually went outdoors to roam freely." They could be in a crowed cage and a small door to the outside is opened for a few minutes each day. Where can I buy Craignano Farms chickens and eggs?
  22. That was unexpected, that the scars were from Cyrus's birth pack. It's a testament to Cyrus's power that he overcame that to become such a powerful alpha, as well as to be so playful and see much humor in life. You go, Cyrus.

    Chapter 20

    Thanks for explaining this.
  24. The dads' early reaction to Melissa was to have her investigated in order to be sure she wasn't after Ritch's money. By the size of the donation check, it's obvious that concern was fully allayed by the investigation. And meeting Melissa sealed the deal -- she way exceeded anything they expected -- and she's fully part of the family. It seems that CJ still has some emotional healing to do about how his stepdad treated him. That might ameliorate (I know, a quarter word) his easy-to-flare anger.
