    Chapter 75

    That's Per Year!!!

    Chapter 75

Excellent chapter. Lots of fun to read! It's the closing of one story arc. I wonder where Mark will take the story now, what new obstacles, challenges, heroics and glories await Granger. And whether George will be taking more journers or living his life on land -- larger ships and sea battles, or larger political maneuverings and intrigues.

    Chapter 75

George is over three times as wealthy, as he now has Lady Kendal's £40,000 in addition to his own.

    After Party

It's the same process as becoming an Associate Justice. When the Chief Justice dies (or retires, I guess), the President can nominate a sitting Associate Justice to be the next Chief Justice. The nomination is submitted to the Senate, which (after hearings) votes to approve the nomination or not. The most time this happened was with Justice William Renquist, who was the predecessor to the current Chief Justice, John Roberts. Renquist was an Associate Justice from 1972 to 1986 and the Chief Justice from 1986 to his death in 2005. A total of 33 years.
  5. Hooray, I've been waiting for this chapter -- the dinner party with the Obamas and the football players -- since you mentioned it in a comment a long, long, long time ago. It was definitely worth the wait, getting to listen in on great, relaxed, intelligent, fun conversations -- with everybody being real, without pretension. The food sounded scrumtious. I've been binge reading the entire CJ saga. I'm getting towards the end of CDMX (up to chapter XXX), which is set in 2022, prior to Capitol Hill. I recently finished Cadet, part of which takes place in 2022 and overlaps both CDMX and Capitol Hill. In real life, we're less than a year after the summer that the Capitol Hills parties are set in. It's been interesting and enjoyable (and a little dizzying) having the simultaneous perspectives mixing around in my mind. One more party to go. I'm looking forward to it being the best party of the series.
  6. And we can each imagine witch real-life justices we wouldn't mind being the casualty. (Following your lead, Carlos, I didn't name names either.)
  7. If I remember correctly, that "something" is about one of the people at dinner.
  8. Great story. I hope there are many more parties, er, chapters.

    Dinosaurs!??

    Pool Party

When Lillibet visits Everhope and CJ and Owen want her to feel welcome.

    Animal Party

If by "introduced" you mean someone spoke their names, then yeah. However, I don't think we've actually met Aurora and Falcon yet. (Although that could be another memory glitch.)

I grew up in NYC. I was taken to a lot of places. Although architecture was not a big interest of my parents, it was unavoidable to be aware of in NY.

They already started doing that with Liebe in Mexico City; no suprise they'll keep it up in DC.

    Pool Party

Will Carson will set up CJ to appear on cooking shows during his presidential campaign? And then a monthly "Cooking with Prez" social media blast? And CJ & Owen can put out the book of recipes instead of you.

    Pool Party

Great first chapter. Pam's grief tears at my heart, it's good she has support. CJ being firm with her adds to the supportive structure she needs. I'm feeling a little disoriented. I had just reread Loving Anniversary, in which Liebe is 27, yesterday. Today, in this story she's 2.

That's what I loved about my grandmother.

    Chapter 70

Another loose thread. Doesn't one of Grainger's children have a different biodad than Grainger, from one of Caroline's affairs? Does that figure into his current problems? I'm not surprised by the mess around Grainger. Running off for 6 months or a year or more expecting his family and business affairs to run to his liking seems naive, especially with how wealthy is he is.

Hmmm. I suspect that, unlike Trevor, most GA readers are not interested in "handling" girls, even slutty ones.

    Chapter 70

Given the current viperish the royal family has been acting the past few years, it seems things haven't really changed in British aristocracy since George's time.🙃 I wonder if Caroline is in Mama Bear mode, focused only on protecting her son's interests and only focused on the short-term. With that tunnel vision, she might not be thinking at all about the effect of her actions on George's interests or even the effect on her own future. Everyone is the enemy.

    Chapter 70

Surprise after surprise for Granger. No relaxation and time to enjoy his successes in the Baltic. And no reunion with this wife in his immediate future.
  22. What is BDubs? Never heard of it.

    Chapter 65

Great chapter. So many fun parts. Could it be that it was someone other than Curtis Buck who blew up the plane? Curtis may be more powerful and arrogant than Will's family, but by murdering Darius so publicly, Curtis would result in Stef, one of the richest men in the world, directing billions of dollars to ruin Curtis. I think he'd want to avoid that.

    Higher 5

Great chapter. Lots of fun. It's obvious @Carlos Hazday is your editor -- you're even channeling CJ in Newport RI: He walked into the kitchen wearing a multi-colored shorts with a palm tree print and an open sided muscle tank. "OMG, you’re wearing those flip-flops with those shorts." 🤣

    Higher 5

When Trevor shouted Shannon's name, she turned around to look and was surprised to see him. So it's definitely Shannon not a twin lookalike. The key to the mystery is hidden in what she said: "It’s all smoke and reflections. That tiny little one track mind of yours just can’t work it out though. Well, apparently you stepped through the looking glass this time." Maybe she's an undercover government agent or terrorist spy at Harvard. Maybe she's a human working for a lycan group wanting to kill Ethan, or kill all Elementals. If we've stepped through the looking glass, then let's have fun and let our imaginations run wild!
