  1. IN addition to the fencing-in you talked about in an earlier comment, politicians manufacture inner enemies for those inside the nation/fence to focus on, rather than on how little the politicians are doing to improve our lives. Bah, it's so easy to get sucked into the negative thinking that the powers-that-be want us to be in. Here in Oakland, the sun's out, the temps in the sixties, the breeze is blowing, trees are turning fall colors -- life is good today.
  2. Most of the transfolk I've known have been FTM. It hasn't been easy for any of them. I hope C&O include a program for them as well.
  3. A wonderful chapter. A perfect antidote to the negative goings-on we're bombarded with in the news. I suspect we resonate so much with CJ's family because deep down we have hope and belief that the world could be that way, that all children could be raised that way. The last couple of paragraphs in the story are so sweet, I teared up a little. Bravo, Carlos.
  4. Unfortunately, antisemitism is on the rise in the U.S., including Holocaust denial. That teacher is not alone in loudly espousing and teaching such beliefs in this country.

    Chapter 33

"only tails, ears and tips of their noses wolf like" & feet. None of those are involved in speaking words, how come the twins can only bark and howl?

    Chapter 33

@Mansexlover is not the only one with bad eyes. And I expect we are not the only two.

    Tough Chapter 11

The plot thickens and thickens. What is motivating Devlin? He just flits from here to there without thinking and evaluating.
  8. Because of that, Liebe will experience strong sexism. In general in this country, when your description is applied to a man it's done with admiration. But when applied to a woman, it's a harsh putdown.

And British cursing as well, from their hanging out with Lilabet.

    The Captain

Xi Jinping is working hard so that's not the case by the time CJ gets the job.
  11. A great chapter. I loved jumping right into the center of the family. It was like being home. I really liked being with Ritch; he has majorly matured. It's great to see how strong his connection to Lucy has become. And Liebe! What a difference from the kid she was in Mexico. Bravo, Carlos! Thank you for a fun-filled story.

    The Captain

    And in HTTC.

Yay, wunderbar, a new C. Hazday story. Extra wonderful for being in the CJverse. (Damn autocorrect wanted to change wunderbar to Wonderbra.) I always enjoy when you experiment, Carlos. Your usual style would be to let us meet each member of the yacht crew as they first interact with the family. Instead, we meet the entire crew at once in this prologue. Let's see if I still remember who each is when they show up again in a few chapters. I hope Nina doesn't know about CJ & Domogaroff (questionable spelling) or she might poison CJ's soup.
  14. Including Liebe and the twins?
  15. It's only fair. After all, Liebe has already accepted her elders' potty mouths -- and she has stopped pointing out "You said a bad word" to the Dads, Grands, and Uncle.

This cruise could be good practice for their careers as troublemakers, which we've seen in the few other glimpses of them you've provided.

How about the PLAD Family. They are quite a mix and "plaid" is appropriate. 🙃
  18. What a fun chapter. Jay and Loe are such great folks to hang out with. “Yeah, but we got an egg donor who’s a super athlete with the same features as Jay,” Loren chimes in." At some point (in 3 or 4 years), Loe is gonna want a Jay-splerm child. Good thing twins don't run in Jay's family!
  19. YES!!!!!!!
  20. Don't let the few haters get you down, Carlos. There are lots of us who love everything you write, short or long, with or without CJ. I still fondly remember Melvin Ford. I love the dolphin shifter stories. I bet Liebe does too. So bring them on, if that's what you want to do. 😎

    My story

That's my feeling also. I have enjoyed all your stories. Thank you.
  22. Great story, as usual. And a relief to bathe in the glow of an imagined positive future. A nice break from our present world problems. I also appreciated the quilt analogy, bringing back memories of the powerful impact of the AIDS quilt.
  23. Ritch's absence was definitely noticed. You brought us up to date on others in your comments. Please fill us in on Ritch.
  24. Liebe is older than CJ was when he launched his drive to become President. Does Liebe has her eyes on a specific goal yet?

    Chapter 28

The flooding will be nowhere near @kbois. Alaska is huge, you could think of the flooding being along the California coast while @kbois is in a ship near Texas.
